March 28, 2019 and groovin to the beat.. and I’m born ‘84..
I heard this for the first time yesterday on the radio while at work. I was only there because I was called to see if I could cover someone who was off ill.
When I heard it figured it was a new track. In any case, I thought to look it up by it's lyrics and found it quite quickly. Then I see it's by a band called the Brand New Heavies who I'm thinking sound familiar so I'm questioning the result as I'm sure they were around some time ago and the song sounds too fresh to be that old... but no. It's them. And this song sounds so fresh I could have believed (read: I did believe) that it was only a very recent release.
Anyway, another great track to add to a feelgood playlist. And I wouldn't have heard of it had I not volunteered to cover the shift and stayed on later than expected.
Love the chorus, love the vibes, love the vid. Great track, imo.

If my memory is right, I have heard it in the 90s when I was a baby. I thought this song was released in the 1980s but it's not, it was released in 1997. I like that song much.

This is a good song, certainly evocative of its time, but steady on with the nostalgia! This is nowhere near the peak of what the '90s had to offer.
I always loved this song back in the day (when I was more interested in women-booze-britpopbands..etc ) but I never knew who sung it... until recently. I really fucked up by not paying attention to this band when they were hitting it... they're amazing.

Sieah Garnett didn't like spending some much time in England because she is American she should have been in the band longer but got a ego I do love the video
How nice of you to just make up a story. In an interview I saw with Siedah, she said those guys were VERY difficult to deal with. She said they drove her away. She said they'd done that with all their other female leads.
Carey Conley I can believe it. N'Dea Davenport also hinted at problems when she left the first time. And when she was replaced with Dawn Joseph a few years back, she claimed she was kicked out and learned the news along with the public. This was after Simon told fans on the BNH Facebook page it was her decision to leave. Considering they've gone through damn near 10 lead singers, something is very suspect about these men. Not to mention Jan quit and has formed a new band with Dawn. I would pay top dollar for that tea-filled memoir.
