    • IMPROVED Straight Edge...
This straight edge table saw jig is designed for narrow or wide strips of board. I changed out the original foot with a carriage bolt and table leg rubber cap. This makes it easier to use with thinner boards.
Vertical toggle clamps from Harbor Freight.

Great video! I just finished making mine.i was needing to join 2x6s so I had to add a 1/4in spacer on the spacer bar. worked perfect with the stopper in the highest position. Thanks for the great idea to put the clamps on both sides for different size boards.

Can't wait to see all your videos, but the cell phone amplifier alone gave me several ideas!!!
I got a Bose 360 Bluetooth speaker where the sound wasn't as advertised. They say treble is 360.
      Treble exits the REAR.
I made an exaggerated W and placed the speaker in front (which cuts you down to 180 Degree sound, But the speaker performs 300% better!
I directed the Awesome sound into my ear holes, much like you did.
My design actually went back in time to the design of Bose 901 Direct Reflecting Speakers!
When I was 13 I took out a bank loan to buy a set of 901's. Like 900 smackers at the time?

When I made my straight edge for my skill saw, I actually made it to my Dewalt corded and Porter Cable Cordless. So instead of having 4 jigs I have 2 very handy jigs

Did you end up making one? If so did you do 4" 1/2 on one side and 2" 1/2 on the other like he did in the video? I'm getting more into pallet projects and need to make a straight end jig. Debating how I wanna make it so that it's as universal as possible as for pallet boards.

Really like this idea I was just looking through jointers to buy and have a project that I am using some rough cut Wenge and tried straightening it without success just by trimming the edges, so was going to purchase a jointer then looked up some other ideas. Thanks for sharing!

Nice jig, I think it would be easier just to cut both sides on the jig rather than having to lower the blade as well as adjust the fence much further. Could have just flipped the board in the jig tapped the fence over a few more hairs and ripped

Aloha Rich! I think you're the only poster that addressed the wider to narrower stock you might want to edge trim. I wish I would've seen you video before I ordered only two toggle clamps. I guess I'll just construct it for the width that I'll be using most then order additional clamps to add to the other side when it becomes necessary. Thanks.

Do you know of an alternative way to get a straight edge without using the fence guide?
