As a Chicagoland resident, I thank you for these stories! It's fascinating to learn of distant places, but astonishing how much of our own homes we don't know. Also, for the question about what to call a group of Mothmen, I would like to toss my hat in the ring and suggest calling it an Omen of Mothmen. Sounds ominous and alludes to them being harbingers of bad things to come.
Resurrection Mary is so ubiquitous & perhaps the most well known, I _almost_ clicked away because I've heard it so much. Funny thing is, I've driven past there a thousand times myself & never saw her once. Bachelors Grove was equally a dud for me, just a place where things happen _sometimes_. But holy cow have I seen all manner of things everywhere else!
Would love to see you do Baltimore (please mention the visitor to Poe’s grave on his birthday), or maybe the whole state of Delaware (it’s the 2nd smallest state after all), especially Fort Delaware…
This series is great. As a southerner it would be interesting to see somewhere in the southeast covered. Perhaps Charleston SC, the State of Georgia, or the Southeast in general.
You should do Philly next! We have plenty of non paranormal related wack jobs and monsters running around so who knows what’s REALLY lurking in the shadows 🤷🏻♂️
Do maryland;theres a road with a forest on both sides.its scary when its dark. Theres ocean city. Then next to it is where you drive around to find the forest. I dont remember the name. The continentall resteraunt. If you drive away from it,the road is there. Its probbally the miles away from it thing.
Memphis TN might be a good one. Several ghost stories including the ghost of Elvis at Graceland, Mary at the Orpheus who has a designated seat, Woodruff-Fontaine house ghost, Earnestine and Hazel ghosts, and the legend of Pink Lizzie among others. Supposedly a crystal skull at the top of the pyramid. There’s a place locals call Voodoo Village. All the legends are BS but it is an actual place with weird art dvd Masonic symbols.
1:39 Resurrection Mary 3:21 Italian Bride 5:37 S.S. Eastland 7:51 Chicago Mothman 9:16 Ghosts of Suicide Bridge 10:48 Lake View Vampire of 1888 12:44 Skeletons beneath Lincoln Park
Amazing video as always! I have lived in Chicago for the last 20 years and did not know any of this. Definitely will be looking at Lincoln Park a bit differently now. Super fascinating!
Id love to hear your take on some of the ghost stories of San Antonio tx. And maybe one day doing a part 2 or maybe even 3. San Antonio is over 300 years old so theres plenty of stories.
I love these videos for the "Legends of" series! I haven't had the chance to go to Chicago and had no idea about any of these legends. The idea of the Point Pleasant Mothman having cousins in Chicago is fascinating. 😃 For a future installment, I would have to nominate my humble city of Fort Collins, Colorado. Our Old Town has quite the reputation for ghosts, paranormal activities, and portals to the spirit world. Wonderful video, as always. Can't wait to see what's next!
It’s interesting, yet I’ve only heard of the S.S. Eastland before, even if it was a long time ago. The first time I’ve heard this historic moment was in a series called Mysteries at the Museum. So thank you for bringing that one up and back into my memory!
So proud of this video. Im enjoying reading the comments. Its fascinating to me how many people didnt know about these stories. Guess sometimes it takes some deep digging and a little insider help. I cant wait to see more ghost stories and paranormal videos from Mythology Unleashed ❤🎉
Fun fact the term vampire was the original term for a serial killer because of their blood lust, I had a book on vampires that brings this up as serial killer is the now common term for it. So in a sense that police chief was correct, though they were not the mythical vampires of legend, but instead very dangerous humans like psychopaths and sociopaths.
I'd never heard of the last two, but the rest are flogged so unmercifully that one gets quite sick of Chicago before one's even seen it. I feel like this is where a good deal of the hate against Chicago comes from... that, and the Capitol debate.
Talk about the Candyman he is a popular one, I have been to Chicago and its fun. And this is my first time hearing about the sinking ship like the Titanic.
You should do more paranormal stuff, your voice and telling style fits so well for it.

Omen of Mothmen has my vote for best name suggestion in the comments. Quite apropos. 🎯
@@morgainnejade Thanks! Hope it catches on!
Legend has it, at one point in history - Chicago was actually a safe place to live.
the rarest of all the legends of Chicago, an honest politician
You forgot the king of em all:Mr Al Bundy!😂
That guy is a legend
Could you do a video on Wisconsin sometime soon?
Nice thinking about that. Legends in Chicago those are interesting.
The one city I would love to see covered in the next "Legends of" episode would be my hometown of San Francisco.
I visited Chicago once and most of these ghost stories have never heard of

Okay, multiple Mothmen has me intrigued.
Another great video, great job!
I enjoy your narrations.
You missed my favorite! The Devil Baby of Hull House. I grew up hearing about that all the time.

“I’ve been looking forward to this”
Please make a video about Martians.

Could we please get another Arabian mythical creature?
I’m shocked to my very core a park where everyone can play, talk and have a good time has 40,000 skeletons underneath it
1:39 Resurrection Mary
3:21 Italian Bride
5:37 S.S. Eastland
7:51 Chicago Mothman
9:16 Ghosts of Suicide Bridge
10:48 Lake View Vampire of 1888

My favorite Chicago joke is "Chicago: come for the food, stay because you got murdered"
Just like Detroit! But with food!
@@ck-1649so detroit, chigoco and flordia,3 of the shittyist places in amerdeca.
@@ck-1649 🤣👍
Does it have to be limited to the US? I’d suggest the Legends of London.
So this is why Jim Butcher set the Dresden Files in Chicago. Nice!
Excellent video, brilliantly done.🌹💜🌍
legends say we were once in Grant Park for GO Fest

Good place to get a spirit to follow u home, not that, that's a good thing.
What about a Pleasance of Mothmen?
Id love to hear your take on some of the ghost stories of San Antonio tx. And maybe one day doing a part 2 or maybe even 3. San Antonio is over 300 years old so theres plenty of stories.
For the next episode of "Legends of," lets do one centered on Detroit or Lansing for us Michiganders.
Fascinating! I didn’t know about any of this except the ship incident.

How fitting, that's where the Dark Knight movies were filmed.
