This kind of video reminds me of a story I heard about when the BBC were filming a "Dr Who and The Sea Devils" in the 1970s. The story featured a nuclear sub, and the model makers looked at the shop bought kit, with a standard 4 bladed propeller, and desired it didn't look right, so raided a nearby vacuum cleaner repair shop and grabbed a couple of small fans to use instead. A week after the scene aired, apparently, they had to explain this to British security services.

these are pretty cool models. The only problem is -if you add up what they end up costing as a kit, you could have bought a POV plane, upgraded it and taken a two hour sightseeing flight instead. These subs are just sort of dull cruising under the water. I thought about building one but it doesn't seem worth it. They look good though.
Are you talking about the high prices for an RC submarine? That's true, but there is also a very inexpensive alternative! I made all of the parts myself without exception. And the fun I have doing it is incomparable! I recognize that silhouette that is a Typhoon class SSBN they put a hell of a lotta detail in to this model (this sub is retired now in Russia) but was one of the most unique subs ever double hull construction with a mix of titanium and high grade steel NATO has a estimate on how deep she was able to go but not confirmed
Quintuple hull actually. 2 that run the entire length basically and 3 in the middle, one in the front housing the torpedo room one below, and a bit into the conning tower, and one which has the steering gear in the back.

I was wondering if they would show any details or say the name. It sure looked like his custom built rendition of the Red October. In the under-water shot when it's turning to port away from the camera and showing it's aft, you can see the what appears to be a red-lit caterpillar drive exhaust. Or was that just my misinterpretation of something else?

At first, when I heard the cheerful Caribbean music, I imagined that when the sub was introduced - we'd hear the "Jaws" theme. But the Soviet National Anthem (played through the sub's on-board speakers) was priceless! Then - surprise! - ballistic missiles! Phase II, if it were up to me: "The Hunt for Red October" theme music - and torpedoes. (Cue the maniacal laughter). ;-)

I like this so much just like the UK version I would like to see them altogether and talk about how they are made and use in water for shows So many in UK and Germany that makes this pain them and they work like the real ones so good to see.

To control a sub is only possible with 40 MHz or 27 MHz Transmitters - 2,4 GHz does not work under water.
That Typhoon is amazing! And the launching of the missiles was the strawbery of the cake! Congrats!
