- Alison Krauss and Robert Plant perform "Black Dog" from their album "Raising Sand" at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on Friday, October 3, 2008 with T Bone Burnett
Great rendition. These two could sing the NYC phone book and make it sound fantastic. Brilliant.
I love your comment! How true!!!
Musically freedom
In perfect harmony with each other... smoldering...
Can't get over that fiddle-player with his Page-like licks and runs. Amazing.
The chemistry between these two.... OH-LA-LA!!
Robert was born to be on stage. Love this man.
That performance oozes class.

Goddess & God!
Alison, the only woman to get Robert to wear a jacket on stage !
that's a Very Nice.....Grammy!
Freaking awesome
Really cool version of Black Dog, bluegrass rocks!!!!!!!!!!
BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER ❤❤❤
She is the absolute definition of a musician whether with her voice or her fiddle. She can do and does any song that she really likes and she does it well. I would have loved to heard them discussing their music together.
+Linda Fields It looks like Stuart Duncan on the fiddle.
@Linda, She's so awesome, she has a voice like an angel, and I love her!
@@lindafields4613 It is indeed! Alison Krauss mentioned in an interview on the "Crossroads" program they did that Stuart Duncan is her favorite fiddler! ua-cam.com/video/SAwOwUp-S7Q/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DoggenHaus
Plant said singing with Krauss made him a better singer, because he was forced to "stay in his lane" instead of warbling all over the place like he had always done.
Now thats how you play a sexy blues . .
A number 1. Best song I listened to all month out of about 2034 songs,
I was there, right up in the front...! So good!
Bluegrass Black Dog? Banjo Black Dog? Why yes, yes it does work.
This was brilliant and actually funny!
Amazing....I am speechless......
totally out freakin standing!!!
Excellent as ever. Sir Robert of Plant.
This is fantastic!
Wish this was on one of their albums … it’s great!
Too epic. This was going on while I was in the darkness? Glad to know it. We need more. Now ! :)
Love Love love it
One very cool day in GG Park that seared a lasting impression into my mind. It's as if they turned the sound inside out in some ways, grateful to have been there.
I was there, what a great weekend!
Me too 4 Free
The best.
I'm no pushover, but this is some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a while.
Love it!!!
Loved ! Loved ! Amazing!!! 🥰🤘👌💯
They both look smitten with each other...
Pure Gold.

Led Zeppelin's version of this song is sex. This version is love making. 👍💖🎸😎

TBONE MADE ALL THIS WORK NOTWITHSTANDING THE AWESOME TALENT SINGING!!
⚓️ Thanks 😎 I was there, live in the Inner Richmond.
it has a haunting atmosphire of Twin Peaks soundtrack.
T Bone Burnett to the right.
awesome
Done something right have a right listening most grate artist on the world.thank you so much.
Dig Robert and Alison together but this jam Robert looks like he just wants to break out and be that Rocker Man ✌❤
Robert Plant deserves a real kudos for knowing how to hold back and blend in with his vocals!
Robert Plant seems to be protective over Alison. I also like the together. Atlanta June 2022
Thanks.
Would Love to see them do something together again ✌️💞🎶🙏
There's another one soon.
@@marksheetz9230 "Raise the Roof," Nov. 19, Rounder Records

Yep, and I'm having a hard time getting it on CD. All I'm finding is Vinyl, which is Great, but I want a CD.

Плант гений. Алисон муза гения
Don't know what you said but I thumbed you up !
Holy crap. Robert Plant is 6'2". How fekking tall is T-Bone??? He towers above RP
Sexy chemistry- the precursor to the Civil Wars, I believe. F Zeppelin- do another album together!
I must be getting a contact from Golden Gate Park.. It seems like this is in slooooooooooowww Mooooooootioooooooonnnn
Where did this video come from?
Back in the early 70s, this would make a Zep Head think he scored some bad Orange Sunshine at a concert .
LOL.
LOL
Hmmm...Can't find this song on MY copy of "Raising Sand"......
and buddy miller too...
How fun cool is that?
#showedup
Wow and jesjesjes
Black Dog, a Led Zep song, is not on Raising Sand. 'o)
He wants her!!!
He's already had her!
@@brucebenderman7577 No, but he did try.
Excellent!!
I hear Robert is now working on a rap version.
Slow? Beating that banjo. Why so mysteriously humming it out?
They should have had a child LOL.
auh huh
I don't think this was on Raising Sand. I haven't found it on any album.
Henry Snow Ah, was released in Europe under the title, Their Long Journey
Is not!!!!
It is on Zepplin IV. Name of the song is “Black Dog”.
Is Bob wearing a Seinfeld Puffy Shirt here? 🤓
I do really love Alison and Robert together and love so many of their songs together, but I just don't like this version of Black Dog, which is my fav Zep song ever. Can't get into this. Esp the instrumental arrangement.
Black Dog is NOT on Raising Sand (!)
... 🐰 ... 🌹 ... ✌ ...
He`s an old man now....!
the band , although good in their own right, have no idea how to deal with the drop beat if Zep and so launch into ‘Fever’
never no how much I love you. Kraus/Plant
Sure sounds like a mix of "Be My Woman", "When the Levee Breaks", and maybe Dylan's "Girl from the North Country". Certainly isn't "Black Dog".
The lyrics are certainly Black Dog. It's a remagining of the song.
@@joeyhuebner10 That is strange. I am not sure why I made that comment a year ago when the song being performed is obviously "Black Dog". Makes me wonder if I was intending to comment on another video and accidentally commented on this one.
Very confused.
@@joeyhuebner10 One thing for certain. "Black Dog" does not appear on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss album Raising Sand. At least not the studio version from 2007.
That's kinda sac religious !
Nothing is sacrosanct
And that's quite a sac !
Bob-o should redo Nobody's Fault But Mine. That would cover all the bases here.
Fake fake fake why Robert why I know ...
a little creepy!
I don't like this song reduced to a Mississippi slave chant circa 1845. I want Jimmy Page, with lightning bolts in his eyes, to walk on stage and recalibrate the Universe. What's wrong with me?
Nothing wrong with you... I think Sir Robert could find a big legged with soul.
Nothing, it's your opinion. I like this version, it's pretty far out. Jimmy does nothing new anyway, what could you expect out of him?
Gross
What a horrible recording. Unlistenable.
@Mike Smith
Indeed, glad to know I'm not the only one that feels that way!
