AMIA Conference 2023 took place in Tulsa, Oklahoma from November 15th - 17th. Every year, the Archival Screening Night features selected clips from repositories around the world, bringing together a diverse slate of people and places to the audience. Hosted at the Circle Cinema, California Revealed presented a clip from our partner organization, History San José.
Watch this segment of "Barrio Expressions" in its early stages when it was called “Lo Que Es”. The public access television show was produced and hosted by Juan Espinoza whose work was integral to documenting the youth culture and history of Chicanx and Latinx communities in the East Bay Area. The low-rider event shown here took place in Hayward, Calif. at Tennyson High School.
