They should really add more diversity to building in vanilla, add some more crafting options like door kits and such. Some new storage items would be nice too.
What building pieces would you like the most?
Door kits would be huge
They were supposed to redo all the buildings years ago. Really wish they would do that because the buildings need to be redone.
@@Nitnodoors on official that can be placed in normal door frames or locks that can go on normal doors,sleeping bags, different size walls big and small. Just some stuff off the top of my head
@@Nitnowell to start off whatever doormat that is that puts the door entrance in the center of the door instead of one side. So you can actually center a fence kit instead of making sure that you can reach your code locked. So many of the builds is so counterintuitive😂
My one big request at this point is bicycles. Motorcycles would be nice too, but a more available class of vehicle would be a huge boon to the game.
One of the worst parts of DayZ is travelling between towns, especially once you start to move inland. I think having a highly accessable, stamina-based vehicle would be a nice trade-off of mobility vs stealth. I dont think bikes always need to come intact either. Finding chains, wheels, handlebars and such for a bike would be a nice introduction to vehicles for new players, and would be a nice task for solo players like me who dont really wanna dedicate the time to repairing a car or lorry.

Shitttt coming from a ps DayZ player just having a drive able vehicle in general would be nice. Since I’ve upgraded to ps5 driving is smoother but still super sketchy. You get a lot of lag spikes and occasionally wake up dead from driving lol
So you dont want to repair a car but youll be fine with repairing a bike? Seems like the same thing to me

Thinking the same thing. Given the servers I'm in, having music playing would be noise I don't want when players are shooting each other.
@@K0msur I honestly don't think music has any place in a survival game. Even in The Long Dark I hated the music - and the fact that you couldn't completely disable it. Hearing the sounds of your surroundings is so crucial in DayZ, music would be a liability.

An update I’ve wanted for years now; we’re wooden furniture weapon variants; and wooden furniture pistol grips. Really want a wood furniture SVD, DMR, and M16.
That would be cool, would like to see that.

As a modded player, the SV-98 would be AWESOME. Love that gun! It could be a AWM/L96 but I do kinda doubt that due to that chambering 338LM.

Improved graphics and better variety of buildings would go a long way since I only play vanilla official servers. Integrating some higher infected forms would be nice also - and a bicycle!!

That inventory change is gonna screw me up. I always store loose ammo in cooking pots/pans to clean up space.

Honestly im glad they are adding this i want more long range weapons and equipment in general like 7-12× optics or even 3×6 for assault rifles and such or grips and bipods maby even some higher caliber rounds like 50 bmg or 338 even 30-06 Springfield would be nice and some more ghille and camouflage options would also be sick like instead of just the bush ghille suits they could have leaf and strand suits or they could fill in the gaps with weapons like lmgs or the rpg7 some things we just don't have yet but make sense in a soviet environment maby a scar and the m16A4 with optics would be cool too like the scar L and scar H one in 7×62 and one in 55.6 or the m110 i just want some cool new toys to play with that would generally be easy to add
I do agree in many ways. More is better. I know some people say "another update another gun" but I think eventually we will have a really large range of guns to find and it'll really spice things up.
Yeh that is one of the main reasons I prefer DayZ over other survival games, the guns. Both the variety of them and the accurate modelling towards their real-life counterparts. I have been wondering though why they cannot find a way to rebalance the M16 so it can have optics. I realize that that would beat the point of the M4 but I just feel it would make more sense for the M16 to be the one to have optics.
One reason I play modded is due to the diversity of weapons, sure it's not always balanced but you can find balanced servers with lots of good custom guns.
@michaelthompson3284 quite honestly I disagree it wouldn't ruin the point of the m4 they are completely different platforms m16a2 can mount acog sights and the A3 sight and its a burst fire rifle if anything it would make the m16 usable at all its supposed to be an infected sandbox it doesn't really need much balancing all weapons should kill extremely fast and we should get some stuff that's rare but just beats out everything else like right now the only reason to even go into a gas zone is for suppressors which is novelty at best adding something like some modren weapons and new optics in there would make it a must add in the scar the mk18 give them suppressors and such as of right now the game is pretty boring with selection and customization in both armor and weapons a lot of which models for already exist.

What they need to change on console badly
-turning off a car should be a different button than accelerating
(Tapping accelerate turns the car off)
- double tapping interact puts you in a throwing stance preventing you from closing doors.
-items should automatically go back to where you took them from when unequipping them, when replacing with another item.
-the UI needs an overhaul on console honestly, not a clone of the drag drop system on PC

Shotgun sounded more beefy and scary now. good. SV98 are they using 308? looks and sounded great. there were moment they are going crazy about meaningless door in the yard. that was moment I loved most. such a great DEVs

If they will stand out from other survival games they must adopt a playful side for survival and therefore not spend too much time on the shooting game

add the possibility of building several elements to personalize and diversify the bases / camps, cabins, camouflages.
3 or 4 new elements to build to diversify the camp would already be enough.
For example, the ability to plant a bush to obtain (or uproot a bush to position it elsewhere) : which allows you to create a visual hiding place.
but also: the possibility of building different elements of a Team base, such as a carpentry shed, a medical storage shed with infirmary, a blacksmith shed with repair and tool making, but above all: a headquarters shed with seats
This will completely elevate the quality of the game to differentiate it from others.
The ultimate goal with a completed Team Base would be to repair a large radio and its transmitter antenna to be able to request equipment drops (for example not more than once per hour)
If the sheds are exagonal this will provide a lot of freedom for them to be arranged together around the main shed

I think Arma Reforger Dayz mod/port would be better time spent as I think the og Dayz engine is holding the game back imo

Finally a long range sniper, can they please just double down and add some more assets? Guns, clothes, attachments... We still need planes, Helis, working cars, and bases. These updates are so minimal, like carrot dangling nice but very small additions.

Not exactly... It IS Better than it was, no more space flights, but sometimes you'll still get a quick lagspike and tbone a tree.
am i the only one who feels that lastets updates have been cool but dont feel like they adding anything new and significant to the base game
It's a bit of a slow build up, but they really have been fixing a lot of the core issues. I agree though, we are hoping for a big content patch later in the year
Still waiting on that new map port still and working vehicles. 😂 PS5 feels no different than the 4 in terms of smooth gameplay.

I wish the zombies could be overhauled and the buildings. I wish this game could be built on a new engine. At this point it’s just like adding paint over and over again to an old object. Don’t get me wrong I love the game and have nothing against it. Just sucks they can only just keep adding things to an old engine.

They should be wiping more often, atleast on console, it would really help with the duper issue cause they are everywhere and it would be funny to watch them all go back to GTA cause they can't run around official without fear of losing their precious m4s and black plate carriers.

Can't speak for them. But actively moderated community servers add an extra layer of protection in the form of admins. I guess that's the best bet at the moment.

It is part of an event unrelated to 1.25, "Walpurgis Event" kind of like a halloween european holiday we don't celebrate much in the states.

zombies seem to have new death animations, at least I haven't noticed anything like what's shown at 0:22. I could be wrong.
Hmmm, I think that was a broken leg animation which is rare. Could be new though
@@Nitno That's fair. I only have about 700 hours and DayZ is a game where you need about 10k hours before you can really say you've seen it all so it's possible I've just never seen or noticed it 😂😂

I just don't understand why so much effort is going into sound effects that such few players care about. Literally anything else would be better.
I think they've got different teams doing different projects. The big stuff is taking longer, but we get the little additions like sounds faster.
@Nitno we've been getting "improved" sounds for almost a year. I think a survival game shouldn't be hyperfocused on gunshot sounds that are negligible to notice any difference.
Sound track is TRASH! They should make it where that bs radio plays some white noise. Maybe even where there's a station and you made it active you could broadcast to surrounding players.
Turning the soundtrack off is possible though.
The compartment change fucking sucks. Must be a fix for duplication. Cus would make the game worse

From the recent dev cycle, it seems like first half of year is bug fixing and light on content, with the big update coming 3rd quarter of the year around October. We are hoping for Zombie AI update and New Map by the end of the year.
