    Tilopa was a great guru. Because he gave rise to Naropa. I love this video and the message it conveys
    Edit:
    As much as I love Buddhism, only guru who spoke to me was guru padmasambhava. But while many in my inner circle went to guru rinpoche who’s no doubt a stalwart including nyima ozer, tilopa got me into Buddhism when I was 22. I’m 37 now. I really need to speak to him. I remember sharing this with a friend years back. What beautiful words

      Mahamudra, non-dual awareness is not located at any particular place or location. But perhaps letting your awareness rest at the back of the head has allowed you to open into that boundless space?

    • @rideforever
      @rideforever 8 років тому +1

      No, that is not correct.
      Where do we feel love ? Everywhere ? No, it is in the the heart.
      The heart has a function that can be awakened.

    Buddhism often speaks of the supreme being, but I have not read much about all of Creation being a part of this Supreme Being (aka. God?).

    • @richardbrahman4081
      @richardbrahman4081 8 років тому +1

      +Brett Rogers there is no creation,creation means CHANGING of original Absolute, which is impossible, because Absolute doesn't have any fluctuations, it is always perfect.Perfection can not produce imperfection. Creation is illusion, due to obscuring force of Maya(illusion). Jewish-Christian story about creation is ridiculous,Perfect God created miserable world and people, then He destroyed them, then he punished them, still they don't get improved.Strange behavior,isn't it?

    • @satatik21
      @satatik21 5 років тому

      Yea... the whole concept of there being a "creation" of a "supreme being" is baseless and refuted in Buddhism.

    • @dontcallmejon
      @dontcallmejon 5 років тому

      @@richardbrahman4081 I would prefer this view as it makes more intuitive sense to me than creation ex-nihlio, but what of the scientific evidence we now have, such as background radiation in the cosmos, or fossil records on the earth which refute non-creation. Unless we go full conspiratorial its hard to deny the observations we have gathered.

    • @richardbrahman4081
      @richardbrahman4081 5 років тому +1

      @@dontcallmejon I'd rather refer you to Yoga Vasishtha, medieval Indian tract on advaita vedanta. The creation is an illusion. Illusion is kind of something that seems real, but actually, not, although it impresses our distorted mind. All scientific evidence is still nothing, but refinement of our distorted mind, it works on the same channel. This material world is illusion, God-Absolute is real, although majority of humans can't realize it. Still this truth reveals itself in deep meditation, exactly on the recipe of this clip: when there is no object. the subject (Ego) disappears, too. Then reality flashes in totally different perception. Good luck in searching for Truth.
