I rope dropped DCA in October (saw you wandering around that day) and I conquered the entire park by 2pm. I didn't have lightning lane but game plan is key. I went on a Monday, I was on my own, I went on every ride in a specific land before moving on to the next land and I utilized the single rider option where possible. DCA's success made conquering DL possible. It also changed my opinion of DCA because I now feel like the park is worth the money. I discovered Mater's Junk Yard Jamboree and just got the biggest kick out of it so I got to ride it 3 times. Finally got to go on Radiator Springs Racers and ended up doing that 5 times...and Grizzly 5 times, lol. I was convinced I was going to have a heart attack on Guardians because I really don't like drop rides but I made it out with just a bloody finger from digging my fingers into each other. So, now I can say it's possible to conquer the park and it's a lot of fun too!!
I've thought about going alone once. I get to go 1-2 times a year, usually go with my mom. But might be fun to soak it all in without anyone along, too.
I really like your videos. You always give a good informative hints and tips for the best experience at the park. And you always keep us up to date on new construction/ride refurbishment. I live in Phoenix and we go to Disneyland a lot.
23:49 Seeing Antonio always makes me so happy! When we were there a few weeks ago we got to see him and he was so sweet and just brought smiles to everyone’s faces 😊
Getting there tomorrow and first time ever staying at The Disney Hotel... we'll get that extra 30... when you teased the video I was super excited... maybe see you for DCA Report
I'm so glad you moved the goal posts to 1:00 pm. I thought you were going to quit when you could see you wouldn't make the noon deadline. I'm glad you stuck it out.
Each time we’ve rope dropped Breakout. We spent no time in the outside queue or the first room or minimal time waiting to get on the elevator. The only time was with Rocket in the library- I like rope dropping that ride!!!
Great video. You might have been disappointed about how it went, but what happens to you happens to many people. Seeing you come up with a new plan was helpful. I applaud you for buying the ILL. If someone really only had a half day that is a sensible solution and you showed how it was great. I can't imagine going on all those rides, even for the sake of content.
He Fresh Baked. I’ve been coming to Disneyland since I was 5 or 6. I’ve always lived in Mississippi , but my dad’s side of the family lives in southern Cal. Since my son’s been old enough we’ve been going to Disneyland every year. I’ve only been to DW once. I love DL and DCA. If we see you when we come the first week of June please forgive me for taking a picture. I watch your channel almost everyday. I will be quick since you will hopefully be reporting on the early June crowds. 😂😂
Hey David, nice effort. Everything before 1pm is nothing to be ashamed of, leaves you over 10 hrs for Disneyland, great value. When Toy Story was unavailable, I would have considered still heading to Pixar Pier as there are 3 LL attractions there to choose from. LL Goofy’s or Incredicoaster and standby the other keeping an eye on Toy Story and doing the standby attractions in between.
loved this! and rope dropping monsters is brilliant, actually, with a first ll elsewhere. the lines for that ride are insane throughout the day. a ll ride that’s open should always allow ll bookings. otherwise, llmp purchasers are being ripped off. i’ve never seen that before. your strategy was good and it was nice to see you have to pivot, just like any other guest. 😃
Regarding your question about no LLs available for Incredicoaster and Toy Story early in the day, that's not uncommon. The whole point of LL/FastPass is to basically "save your place in line" and provide an option for you to come back later and not have to wait while everybody else has to wait. However, when you checked the app both of those rides were walk-ons. They sometimes turn off LLs if the ride is a walk-on because it's not providing any value. If LLs were available then they would just show that you could return right then and it wouldn't provide you any value. They don't want you to waste a LL reservation on those rides when it's not helping you at all.
So a big downside to lighting lane is the issue of Disney being in charge. Much like the reservation system for pass holders, it's at Disney's discretion. So if lighting lane is down for that ride for the moment, you might need to wait an hour or two
Planning your day at the park can be stressful but at the end of the day you realize it was very fun 😊 it’s like playing chess board 😅 gotta position yourself the right way, but when you missed up just like chess gotta think what is your next best move 🤙😜 and it always turn out to be okay.. Anyways love your videos as always mah man..
On that day I saw Toy Story was not on LL which is unusual and at 8am webslingers was down so I booked that LL and rushed to Toy Story and it was a quick walk on at 8am with no line and we got a select experiences for webslingers and got 2 of those that day because of it being down so that was good for guardians and webslingers. You never know but I always look for ride down select experiences strategy at rope drop to maybe catch a freebie or two.
I’m sure others might have said this but I think lightning lanes are not available if when they open and they know a ride is going to be down for awhile they don’t allow lightning lanes because they want to limit people with fistfuls of individual attraction passes people could use later. When they said they saw people with lightning lanes it may have been people who scored them earlier than you got in park before they knew ride would be delayed. This seems to happen at dCA because of the limited lightning lanes but I’ve also seen it at tiana if they know it won’t be able to open at 8.
We rope dropped Toy Story on Thursday and then did most everything else on Pixar Pier including little mermaid with 5 min walk ons. Used Monsters Inc LL and walked on Philharmagic. Breakfast shawarma and 15 standby at Web Slingers. LL at Guardians. 10 minute standby for Mater's, paid $19 to go on Cars then churro and coffee. LL Soaring and out of the park by 11:30.
I just watched Justin Scarred, Adam the Woo and The Carpetbagger ride Walt's private caboose, the monorail nose and Mark Twain pilot house without making any plans or rushing. Meanwhile, speeding around diminishes quality.
Watching the speed run, the first question I have is why you assume only 3 lightning lanes. Outside of the two hour window once you use one you can claim one. So sometimes on a speed run the trick is burn through the lightning lanes before stacking. I.e. when I did my challenge i did Tomorrowland using lightning lane after lightning lane for an hour because I wasn’t locked into the two hour window. 5:05
@ (Sorry still watching) you started doing what I thought you’d start doing at Goofy’s with the booking back to back after the two hour window. You def got cobbled w/ Toy Story. And looking at the analytics LL for mission is going a smidge quicker than when I did it last year. Oh noooooo Gantry A!!!! Awe Patrick! - Soarin I’m curious on why not utilizing single rider on Grizzly/Soarin? (Even with Grizzly break down) I counted Luigi’s when it broke down halfway through on me so I count grizzly’s lol In a speed run nothing weird about MVP pass on Luigi’s ! So impressed with how well you pivoted! The main thing is say I’d you were forced to do a lot of cross crossing. But that was Toy Story. Why not rope drop it at that point? I can’t wait to watch your retry!!! Curious cause I use your videos as my recon lol
I was going to rope drop toy, but that's where I pivoted to monsters just prior to the drop. I didn't want to risk hitting monsters for 30 minutes at the end of the day. but as I mentioned when leaving monsters, I forgot about buddy pass.
@@FreshBakedDisney I forgot about buddy pass when I first was planning to do this, until one of your old videos reminded me just before I went. Thank you for all the recon you do! It is SOOOOO very appreciated
My go to: Park opens at 8am. When booking LL you may need to Fiddle Faddle to find earlier LL returns. 8am-840am: Book LL for TSMM, Maters first , Luigis second , SR for Racers 840am: Head to Pixar Pier 845am-10am: Pixar Pal Around, TSMM LL, book LL for Incredicoaster, Jessies Carousel, LL for IC, book LL for Goofy, Inside Out EW 10am-11am: Jellyfish, Goofy LL, Book LL for Guardians, Symphony Swings, Zephyr, Mermaid 11am-12pm: Guardians LL, Book LL Monsters, SR for Web Slingers. Monsters LL, Book LL for Soarin 12pm-1pm: Grizzly SR, Soarin LL
That’s a solid plan. You can shave off a bit of time rope dropping guardians but you need to be one of the first 20 people otherwise you’re adding 5-10 min.
I know this is going to be a controversial opinion but I think HollywoodLand is one of the worst lands at the Disney parks. (Monsters Inc & Disney Animation are the only good things there.) 1. Disney got rid of Muppet Vision 3-D and Aladdin and they never confirmed why and also Mickey's Philharmagic is a great show it's just not the most popular in the land because Monsters Inc is getting way more attendance then that attraction also #BringBackDCAMuppetVision3D 2. Stage 17, Stage 12, and Hyperion theatre is just standing there abandoned Stage 17 used to be Who Wants to be a Millionaire Paly It from 2001-2004 then for the Frozen Fun event in 2015 it was Olaf's Snow Fest, then in 2021-2022 it was a Avengers Campus Store and then it closed again. Stage 12 used to be Hollywood and Dine but that got closed and it was turned into Flynn's Arcade for the Tron Lifecycle event then in 2019 it got turned into a Captain Marvel meet and greet to promote the film and then it got abandoned again. Hyperion theatre used to be Aladdin from 2003-2016, Frozen 2016-2020, and then for a limited time Rogers: The Musical in 2023
I predict they will come a time when you will be bombarded with fans the entire time you walk around at Disneyland. You’re better than a Bigfoot sighting!❤
That kid sitting next to you on Incredacoster sounded adorable! "Here comes the big drop!" Hope they had a great day ❤

The editing on this video is fantastic.
56:01 I’m there! 😅 thanks for the picture made my trip! Love the videos help a lot

David! I’d love to get you on my Disneyland Speedrun leaderboard :)
need that collab
Getting there tomorrow and first time ever staying at The Disney Hotel... we'll get that extra 30... when you teased the video I was super excited... maybe see you for DCA Report
Great video! Only thing is that goofy sky school has a.amazingly fast single rider so you don't need to waste a lightning lane!
Love the videos ! That’s me and my brother in the matching Xmas sweaters in line for midway mania ! It was great to meet you !
I love this video so much. Please make more like this. Trying to accomplish records.
I'm so glad you moved the goal posts to 1:00 pm. I thought you were going to quit when you could see you wouldn't make the noon deadline. I'm glad you stuck it out.
I love the William Tell Overture for the Symphony Swings. Such a fun ride!! I have to admit I miss the buzzing bees when it was inside the orange.

Made it into a video! 41:40 I did the shout out from the stairs (turn up the volume).

awesome video
I am that weirdo! We used a MEP at Luigi’s on our last trip too. 😂
yay a DCA video ❤
It was a great attempt!
@TheTrevProduction did a DCA speedrun in less than 4 hours (it’s on his channel, very underrated!)
I think I was there! So great to see you yesterday!
11:59 finally got to see fresh baked in person.
Little August Burns Red shout out 👏🏻
Haha, that totally didn't count for Grizzly River Run! You need to try this again.

Hey Fresh Baked!!
Hi David I love your videos and how you try to get it done by the time you want to. Hope your family is good. 🤩😍💝

So a big downside to lighting lane is the issue of Disney being in charge. Much like the reservation system for pass holders, it's at Disney's discretion. So if lighting lane is down for that ride for the moment, you might need to wait an hour or two
I think I would have started at Soarin’ and got the 8:30 LL for Guardians. After that I would have moved over to Pixar Pier.
Stack Stack STACK !!! LOL 😆
Sounds like you had a good rider with you on incredicoaster!!!
he made it fun :)
What about the red car trolley! Great video :-)
I didn’t get the memo that the FreshBaked meet up was at DCA that day… lol
I must watch too many of your videos haha I thought you already did this before and did finish by lunch?
Planning your day at the park can be stressful but at the end of the day you realize it was very fun 😊 it’s like playing chess board 😅 gotta position yourself the right way, but when you missed up just like chess gotta think what is your next best move 🤙😜 and it always turn out to be okay..

Hey fresh baked I think it would be hilarious if you took a photo in front of the freshbaked sign at Disneyland on main street.

Have thought of parking at the Garden walk parking structure? You are like five minutes to the park entrance?-you don’t get free parking tho😏
This video looks like every rope drop stratigy ive ever tried.
What’s the point of Multi Pass if after you scan into the attraction, you miss the attraction because you are booking another one.
I hope you tape the cookie decorating contest. My daughter is entered next Tuesday. The 17th
Trying to figure out if I should go Dec 11th or 12th. Wed or Thursday
Saw him, but was to shy to say hello.
I failed my assignment
My go to:

11am-12pm: Guardians LL, Book LL Monsters, SR for Web Slingers. Monsters LL, Book LL for Soarin
12pm-1pm: Grizzly SR, Soarin LL
That’s a solid plan. You can shave off a bit of time rope dropping guardians but you need to be one of the first 20 people otherwise you’re adding 5-10 min.
Did you do Spider-Man web slingers?
its in the post credits.
You made a friend on incredicoaster!
lol i sure did. that was his third trip of the day.
The reason Little Mermaid is so busy is because it hardly ever goes down like all the other attractions seem too.
You were given me anxiety five minutes into the video as if I was there with you.
How are you aiming and shooting on toy story with one hand??? Lol

I predict they will come a time when you will be bombarded with fans the entire time you walk around at Disneyland.
