This needs to be run as a dnd campaign on here, this would be an epic story told within the context of the citizens of Icarus or the surrounding lands.
I think this game should be marketed for exactly that sort of thing; building a world in which further stories can be told using different, more granular, RPG rulesets. The fact that the worldbuilding is collaborative at every stage would give the players (assuming this is the first step of a campaign with the same group) a stronger connection to their characters' world than might be possible if it's created purely by a GM, and it would take some of the workload off them too.
Woah, that's deep. The civilization lives on the back of a cosmic manta. The inhabitants worship it and that is manifested in the form of tattoos on their own backs. "We live on the back of He (or She, if you prefer), and He lives on the backs of us." Full circle.
We are all connected in the great hoop that never ends. As for the fin cities, they wouldn't feel it because the manta is so big that that the wave is spread out over an incredibly vast distance.
I like the play and the back and forth with each other about how to play. It's not like some of the other content where it is more of a talk-show. Much more of a game play feeling while watching this. Great job! Thanks for the inspiration! This is what I like to see and learn from to bring back to my channel's content when we do a more talk show based session on Legend of the Five Rings.
Curious, if the rules say on page 10 that "Motives should be shared openly at the table", why are they being hidden and secretly shared with the viewer?
@@MrLeoZombie I've been following you since Thingamavlogs and your amazing cosplays, my wife and love both Sarah and your work! Just so happens I follow G&S for Critical Role and was surprised to see you here! Great work!
Okay, I'm about 30 minutes in and this keeps bugging me. Astrology and Astrologers are those who look at the stars for fortune telling. They pay attention to astrological signs and try to use the formation of the planets to predict peoples futures or simply future events. This has very little to nothing to do with math. Astronomy and Astronomers are those who look to the stars and are able to see the distances, find out what space holds, and observe things such as star movements, black holes, and planets. They have interests in space travel, planetary habitation, and cosmic events. They deal in science and mathematics. Please, Ivan and Becca, learn the correct term!
I do enjoy watching games like this. But the vast majority of people do not know a group of people who are creative writers and talented at improv. Which is unfortunate, but still means that it's not a playable game for me, mores the pity.
"So, I've made this really interesting, insightful game about the rise and fall of civiliza..." "SPACE MANTAAAAA" Poor Ivan. This looks like a great game, but the wacky hijinks tone of the video is a mistake.
I would love to see a game that balanced story and game mechanics a bit more evenly. This game is 95% making up a story, 5% rolling a die. How about evening out those numbers a bit more?

Hah Palando and Alatar the Ishtar or "Blue Wizards" from Tolkien. I approve of this Leo.
20 minutes in, this is a whole lot more entertaining than I thought it would be.
5 minutes in and am bored AF...
I can see how this would be a really great game as long as you can stay creative in the story telling... which is what I really love
Omg the way they described the city sounds a lot like that episode of Dr Who with the Space Whale
Yeah, the one guy goes "I want to see this movie" and I'm like "I already have. It was...okay. 3/5"
I know I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream newly released movies online ?
@Hugo Jaziel Try flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Hugo Jaziel I would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)

Sounds like a Spelljammer world already. Haha!
I would not mind if a series sprouted from this game and/or Fiasco
I’d really like to see another play through of this

more spellslinger episode please other games are collected but I realy like magic more then the other games.
When they talked about the trinity of mantas and they were sure to call it a cosmic shoal I screamed at my pc "It has to be the Mantacore!"
That is a sub-denomination of the religion
Pallando Alatar is a reference to Tolkien's "Unfinished Tales" characters the Blue Wizards.
I love the creative world-building featured here. 😊
they should this again with different people
Ivan should just do this as a series
@@WardNightstone Duly Noted!
I'd actually pay to see this with Critical Role's Sam Riegel
I really want a movie/book of this! Epic storyline!
we said the same thing
I though the same right away
Wow! A fascinating game! I'm impressed by the idea.
And there are several world-building games like this out there, like Microscope and The Quiet Year.
DUDE!!!! The Blue Wizards?! Wow! Awesome reference!!!!
Clooliss my dude.
Canned air making the population docile, this group has a fandom I approve of! #firefly #serenity
and yet everyone was rioting all the time, lol
For some reason hearing about riding a space manta gave me a flashback to Spelljammer :)
Interesting game, love it. When we see you there, we wish we could be there sharing the table. Thanks for sharing.
