Two questions. 1. Z90 at the end of life? So what and when is the next chipset? 2. What would be the AIDA64 memory benchmark results on a AMD Ryzen 3900x, x570 chipset, 3200MHz CL16 RAM? What would you guess what percentage of these read, write and latency in Aida64 would be? 20 percent lower for example? All stock settings. What do You All think?
I would like to suggest using linpack for checking for the performance differences between ram configurations, i only use aida for is latency (though i find maxxmem2 faster to get this) some of your sub timing looked a bit loose, was that cause it is dual rank? or were you just trying to not spend all day+ on getting it stable
when trying to overclock my ram ddr 4266 with my skylak 6700k on my z270 MSI titanium Mobo, it was such a nightmare to mess arround with VCCIO and SA voltage, it would be stable with +.10 IO then I bumped the SA and won't be stable, then had to bump again the SA, then instable, quite the headache and complicated/time consuming task, think I had good results with 1.25 and 1.26 maybe, but now that you mention 1.45 being ok for every day use I'm tempted to try.. also I had a problem where my system is stable for near 24h memtest, then realbench or AIDA Cpu test for hours and hours, yet I'd end up getting instability in the end, so I gave up on high RAM OC for now.. I had some benchmark runs stable at 4000 though and couldn't figure out a proper setting to get it 100% stable which is very sad.. probably would get more lucky with a newer CPU, I gonna need one of those AMD 3dvcache CPUs :) and later on.. Back when memory was 10 dollars a kilobyte, it made sense to have memory expansion slots, but memory is so cheap now, why isn't it just hardwired into the MB? The manufacturer can supply 16 Gb and the consumer can add dimms if more is necessary. Wouldn't that be the fastest memory?
Nice board, Nice features but I stay away from Gigabyte these days. Ive had their boards die at ambient and while running on Dice and taken out more than one nice cpu. Just testing the Z590 ocf. I think I prefer the Apex. That ram is sick...pricey. I would have liked to see what you squeezed out of it on the gear one ratio...possibly 3733 c13?. I primarily stick to Asus :)
I honestly am staying well away from them (and their Aorus brand) in general after the way they handled the whole PSU failure/"explosion" deal, even tho I am not a extreme ocer in any way (just a regular all day gaming use oc on my ryzen 5 3600... running at higher frequency at lower voltage than it would from PBO at just under 70°C, so that's a win... in my book. about a ~5-8% increase in average fps over stock I'd say)
I wonder if you can use a thermoelectric module to pre chill a normal air cooler to make the temperature difference greater instead of passing all the heat through the thermoelectric module directly.

Memory kits get expensive real fast as soon as you want to go over 3600 MHz C16. I got the Trident Z Royal 3600 C14 and that was almost double of the C16 kit. The 4000 MHz kit is way more expensive again.
I got two of the 4400 C19 kits from Patriot. I can run those at 3600 C14 easily. One kit costs about 110€ and two about 220€. Much cheaper than spending 500+.
