Thank you for the wonderful review! I will poetical get the stitch gauge tool as well my other tools are in a zippered bag that is used in 3 ring notebooks. It's clear and I use smaller containers inside. But I love the stitch gauge. I have a horrible time counting stitches. It was nice to see your new video on how to choose one's first spinning wheel. Welcome back. 😊
I first purchased the Akerworks stitch/row gauge as I heard rave reviews about it. My local LYS had one they used in the shop and I tried it out first. I have never been able to count my rows accurately and I found the Akerworks gauge amazingly easy. It does keep your eyes from straying and the rows are neatly lined up. Thank you for this review. Many of us probably have all our tools in bags here and there, but honestly, I am quite unorganized and spend half my time rummaging about trying to find my darning needles or stitch markers . And I have them in little boxes and bags🤣. I have put this Akerworks toolkit on my list to save up for. It will be just the thing, especially for travelling, and your suggestion of adding a crochet hook is a great one. Thank you again, a great review !
That is such a cute kit. Thank you for waiting to do a review after using the product for awhile. I just wanted to remind people magnets especially stong ones, can effect or ruin electronics such as phones, laptops, or Ipad/tablet devices. All magnets do this. Nothing against this kit. I just wouldn't throw my phone in the same bag as anything with magnets. Just and FYI.:-)
Thanks for the comprehensive review and I like the look of this tool kit. However, I have never seen it for sale in the UK and to have it shipped from the US was exorbitant.
Thank you for the review. I bought the gauge ruler separately awhile ago when I saw you use it on an earlier podcast. I love it and it has help me tremendously. Like you my eye wanders but with that simple slot it makes all the difference. I already had the other items and decided the ruler was just what I needed.
Thank you for the great review. It looks nice and compact and for someone who loves to travel around with her knitting like I do that is a plus. It is nice and innovative but not my cup of tea, I'd rather make myself a nice little bag and fit in all the things I need and buy some great yarn with the money I save. The gauge swatch is very interesting as I totally understand what you are talking about. My eyes go all over the place when I need to count stitches.
I think I would prefer the case without the gadgets in it so I could just use my preferred kit. Finding a decent case has always been my issue. The magnets are a neat idea as well as the "box" being the needle and stitch gauge but I think I would rather there be a larger compartment for things like the snips and crochet hook instead of a tape measure and those awkward looking snips. I think the design wastes a lot of potential space. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for the review but I don’t think it’s value for money I use a small makeup bag in each of my project bags and use lovely beautiful containers inside that to keep things tidy. Things that make you happy that’s the important thing.
