Good morning! Rain is just liquid sunshine, as we say here in Southern California! Too many people let rain dampen their spirits! Human beings do not "melt" when it rains. I say that to ALL the "whiners" here once they complain. You're right Chuck, it's a beautiful setting! I enjoy Paige's "bubbly" personality. The food plates look absolutely 'SCRUMPTIOUS"! Thank you for the short tour of the area. Enjoyed the fire show. Fun and safe travels!

Enjoyed my week in Ko Chang at KB Resort!! Paradise. Mr Moon lined me out on a scooter. Just stayed in Kaibae area. Rained sometimes. Gotta say. Sand Fleas Suck. Not much you can do!! Still Paradise!! Donnie in Arizona
We stayed at Paddy's Palms resort before they moved to 15 Palms. The food, including the Sunday Roast, was fantastic.
The only issue I had was I rented a scooter. The speedometer was not working, and the tires were worn out. I had my wife on the back, and I almost wiped out when I hit some sand in a sharp curve in the road , not realizing how fast I was going. Fortunately, I was able to make it without crashing!

@@Kiefer1976 I was not aware that the speedo was not working. It was the only scooter available for rent, so I accepted the condition of the tires. At the time, my wife was in end stage kidney failure, and couldn't walk very far. I wanted to make it possible to visit a few places along the beach. With the exception of one white knuckle experience, hitting a patch of sand, blown across the road, it served the intended purpose. She was able to enjoy what would end up being her final trip to her homeland, before she passed. I accepted the responsibility knowing the condition of the scooter. This was not a rant about the scooter. I was just sharing an experience during my travels in Thailand. Sometimes calculated risks are worth taking. We visited many areas in Thailand, and I think that this was our favorite place.

@@tomthebadasscat No the area I think you are saying about the long term homes. No road access, private property. We are not going back to Koh Mak this time.
@@notime2bsad Monkey Island Resort are leasing small plots of land and then building small homes on them. You can then live in it or let them use it as accommodation and receive income. I was hoping you buy me one please, Chuckie? 😁🤣
