Why just millennials? Us GenX’ers (old folks) 😆 really connect with his sense of humor and the emo-ness that he embraces. We did after all start the movement/genre. We were the ones that took all all the initial crap so our kids could be themselves without fearing persecution and distrust. Can’t tell you how many times ppl assumed that if you were emo you were a devil worshipper and just a bad seed. Wearing emo type makeup and clothing was banned at our schools and parents assumed you were a weirdo or criminal if you had emo tendencies. So, you’re welcome. 😜 *And Matt….you’re the hero all emo GenX’ers needed and we KNEW we needed you* 😂❤

I'll never forget Warped Tour 2004 getting knocked down by a huge wave in the crowd during NFG and still have a scar on my elbow from it. Someone in the crowd pulled me up and when I went to thank him he was nowhere to be found. Guardian angel? Hmmm perhaps. Hahaha ❤

I saw you uploaded and I was like "what if it was this song." Here we fuckin are, can't believe it. Emo is truly alive and well.
These videos are so predictable and repetitive in nature, yet I still love every one you put out. Something something, if it ain't broke don't fix it something something. You're seriously lucky though to meet all these guys and get them in your videos. It's always enjoyable to see someone like Jordan or Ryan Key appear in one of these. Question is, can you manage to get a dozen of them to collab with your band on a single song like a giant rap cypher? Now THAT would be something.
Right when nfg released catalyst I went to a friends house and we were playing on our game boys. His mom shows up and behind her is freaking Jordan, lost my mind and couldn’t believe it. He was really cool and even signed something for my little brother. We saw him in 2016 in warped tour and said Hi. When we told him the story he remembered us and how excited we were. Definitely helped keep a life long hold for the genre.
As soon as the song came on, I found myself doing the "emphatic head nod" (you know the one -- headbanging for emo kids; best done at shows) before I even realized what I was doing. Something about our music was just _so_ feelgood, even when it was feeling so bad it felt good.

(95-96 are right on the cusp)
But 97-02 we can use and they grew up with emo too
