Well spoken, sir. We need to review our curriculum at the primary and secondary school levels. A national curriculum should address present and future issues, and not just a tool for people to acquire academic status and certificates. Nigeria has grown enough to have a much more functional and purposeful educational system and curriculum than what we are experiencing. Thank you, baba! May you live long in good health!
Dr, the younger ones will not really understand your explanations about the period of eating rice in those days. We do ate rice during Easter, Christmas, New year, and at the end of the year's school vacation in school which is sponsored by the western state government. So during the oil boom of the '70s that the importation of Uncle Ben's and Caroline rice, because it's parboiled, so it's easier and faster to cook than our local rice that needed to filters sand from first thoroughly before cooking, and that takes time to do, people's switch to buying the imported rice, no need to wash before pouring it into pot on fire. As you said no immediate improvement and expansion of our local one, that is why we're here today. Thanks for your informative and educative analysis
Dear Dr. You have always been mostly accurate in all your motivational talks and I truly admire and thank you for your accuracy and needed distribution of knowledge and wisdom to both the elderly and the youth. I lift my hat up to you, Dr.
Goodmorning from Texas sir! I love your channel and I must confess I have learnt a lot form all your videos. I have also shared them to family and friends. Keep up the good work sir!
Dr Apoki you’re absolutely correct. Nigeria should be nicknamed Rice Palliative Nigeria ( Palliative Capital of the World). Insecurity is the main cause because if the farmers are not killed in their farms, their crops are destroyed by cows before harvest.😢
The tragic stampede at the rice-sharing events in Nigeria can be analyzed using the three categories of causes in Work Health and Safety (WHS). This analysis provides a structured approach to understanding how such incidents occur and how they can be prevented in the future. 1. Immediate (Direct) Causes - Definition: These are the visible, immediate factors that triggered the stampede. - In this context: - Overcrowding at the venue, as an overwhelming number of people gathered for the rice-sharing event. - Poor crowd control, leading to panic and a rush among attendees. - Absence of clear instructions or proper queue management for the distribution process. - Outcome: The lack of organization in the crowd created a chaotic situation, directly causing the stampede. 2. Underlying (Indirect) Causes - Definition: These are systemic or procedural issues that contributed to the immediate causes. - In this context: - Economic Hardship: Widespread poverty and desperation due to Nigeria’s perilous economic conditions compelled many people to attend the event, even if it meant facing dangerous circumstances. - Event Planning Issues:The organizers underestimated the crowd size, did not set up barriers, or implement safety measures like trained personnel to manage the gathering. - Lack of Awareness: Attendees may not have been informed about safe procedures or an orderly process for collecting the rice. - Outcome: These factors created an environment where chaos could easily erupt. 3. Root Causes - Definition: These are deeper, systemic problems that give rise to the underlying and immediate causes. - In this context: - Bad Governance: The root cause of the economic peril is linked to ineffective leadership, corruption, and mismanagement of resources, leading to widespread poverty and food insecurity. - Ineffective Safety Regulations: There might be weak or poorly enforced policies regarding public gatherings, making it difficult to ensure safety at large events. - Societal Inequality: A long-standing gap between the wealthy and the poor has exacerbated desperation among vulnerable populations. - Outcome: Addressing root causes like governance and systemic poverty is essential to prevent such tragedies in the future. Conclusion and Prevention To prevent similar incidents, interventions should address all three levels of causes: - Immediate Causes: Ensure proper crowd control measures, trained personnel, and safety protocols at public events. - Underlying Causes: Improve event planning, provide adequate resources, and educate the public on safety. - Root Causes: Tackle governance issues, reduce poverty, and invest in social safety nets to minimize desperation. This tragedy underscores the importance of a proactive approach to safety and governance. [By Engr Vicmario Ugbeni .]

Before these 3 stampede incidents, you know there was one during the Nigeria Customs auctioning smuggled rice, there were also casualty, all not too long ago. They are very obvious poverty indicator pointing towards a serious problem that should have been foreseen, forestalled and actively and proactively mitigated.
Dr.Aboki, you're on point but the only area where I disagree with you is that not that young people dont want to work.. I tell you that if government is able to provide tractors as you said earlier in your presentation,it with ordinarily draft them into farm.
Please keep talking whether people and the government will hear the youth can be employed and empower by government and the private, we have alot wastage in farm produce and is because our people and the government are lazy relaying on petrol, Nigeria is very backward look at Burkinofaso very intelligent leader
Please be careful. If you are in a hotel, Your location could be identified through the furniture showed in the videos. Unless you are willing to disclose your location, desist from showing unique identifiers in the room.
Rice is the most convenient food item to share. However the evil APC government turned the economy for the worse. Things were okay before these evil men came into power. Yes buhari set the evil ball rolling, Tinubu has come to finish the people. Please, let's stop all these theorizing on the issues. The points you raised are indeed the causes of the economic problems we experience.

Very true.
Styer was located in Bauchi sir
We should change our food menu. Garri and beans for Christmas
Dr.Aboki, you're on point but the only area where I disagree with you is that not that young people dont want to work..
I tell you that if government is able to provide tractors as you said earlier in your presentation,it with ordinarily draft them into farm.
Even yam, beans and garri are all expensive for a common man to afford
Sir the government is responsible for all these deaths due to the economic crisis.
Poverty is the main cause. Nothing else.
