I am so glad to see these Art forms are not lost. Bravo to the Masters and their Apprentice keeping this Art in the forefront of methods and not succumbing to modern day machines. Keeping the Art pure. Thanks for showing.
20:49 I was so fascinated by it that I didn't realize that I was holding my breath , waiting for the master craftsman approval of the beautiful work done by his son .
This doesn't need any English translation. The pride on both the Father and Sons faces speaks volumes. As a father myself it brought a tear to my eye watching the mutual respect for each other and their respective levels of craftsmanship. Just a brilliant video.
Dear, I have a very deep respect for you and certainly your father for your eternal patience and the qualities to make this kind of wonder "jewelry" perhaps "art objects". I echo the opinion of my previous writer to call this channel Japanese Craftsmanship, not woodworking enthusiasts. This is not enthusiasm but absolute cultural conviction and respect for your ancestors. Awesome !!!
Thank you for responding. And once again my deep respect for the great cultural artwork with a lot of patience. In all the time you spent on this there is a lot of 日本語 (Zen). Many greetings from a Dutchman.
I adore japanese people. I felt the deep moment when his dad was touched by the beauty of his son creation, and also telling him where there is a little vice, that shows how precise they are. Incredible, japanese were able to create beautiful things and precise things yet in their old ancient times with a primitive technologie that I think nobody ever reached like them. They have always been a brilliant super civilization
I just found this! Thank you for sharing the pride in a job well done. It does my heart good to see that this level of craft and devotion to detail is still being carried out.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I would have liked translations in CC so I knew what the two were saying. I have a love of Japanese Craftsmen. In my humble opinion, I think Japan has the best craftsmen in woodworking, metalsmithing, and woodworking tools both power and hand in the world. Wooden Structures that were built 800-1000 yrs ago are still standing. Many woodworkers are adopting Japanese methods and tools. Hundreds of years ago They developed the method of making Damascus steel which is known to be among the strongest steel made. India also is known to make beautiful Damascus steel too. I' just became a new subscriber so keep the videos coming!!

@@WoodworkingEnthusiasts Thanks. Corona shutdowns in NYC killed my job. Do you need any help? I have a ton of metal related skills. 45 years working in metal. I have $60,000 worth of 150 year old metal chasing tools, hundreds of textured chisels. I'm a well trained artist too.

While nicely depositing the mercury into the atmosphere. I guess I can add Shinto to the list of dumb religions that somehow feel the need to have precious metals and jewels everywhere instead of actually helping the people.
good upload ! thanks can anybody send me the link for a video series named art and craft in which a bespectacled man would give commentary by looking in a old book at the start and then show chinese or japanese artisans with some extra ordinary work A & C was their logo. i will be obliged, Thanks !
Very good question it has to be someone with very deep pockets and a true love of the beautiful object and the amazing talent that went into producing it.

ну пиздец,многое смотрел на канале не перестаю завидовать их терпению и вниманию к мелочам"да это блядь роботы" !
Uses mercury to apply the gold. Toxic operation not used here anymore.

The computer voice is horrible, pay someone 20 bucks to say the lines
Yeah, shame on me!
Who pays these people?
The commissioning shrine, no?
