Excellent, Christian! This is one of the best videos on any subject I have ever seen. Direct explanations and very nice videos work. Well done, my friend!
Thanks Christian, you must be an electrical engineer. I love what you have done. I have a 2007 V Star 650 Silverado. I did not see your LED turn signal on your crash bar listed. I think that's an excellent idea too.
Love to have those on my dragstar 1100. I will definitely go for handlebar end grips indicators and spotlights rest of connections is like a black magic to me and won't even attempting those by my self. Extremely impressive what you have achieved here.
Here I am having trouble deciding finding crash bars, sissy bar rack, rear floor boards, and this this guy is putting vibrators under his floor boards and alarm system 😆. Great job and great video/ how to, thank you !!!!
Awesome video, the editing and time vs information provided is on point. I didn’t get bored and actually watched longer than I expected. And I wholeheartedly agree with the safety factor. Not only did my man make it look cool, but it helps keep cage drivers aware that there are bikes out there. It’s easy to become invisible to anyone who isn’t used to seeing bikes or not often enough. So making it prominent it helps raise awareness. Great job all around brother! 🙏🏻😎💪
This is so cool and well done. awesome humor. I have a 650 classic with 4500 miles I picked up for $1000. I get nothing but compliments. Now I need to find the front turning light bar that is causing problems because some riff raff bent my turning lights. I can`t find any yamaha motorcycle repair shops in Dallas. Must be cowboy fans.
I will upload more videos in the future, not very often though. As of right now, I'm still editing a new video about another mod on my motorcycle. It's the most complicated mod I've done so far (and probably the best). It works quite well and I can't wait to share it. The video should be up in a couple of weeks.
I think all of the extra luz are a good ider. You need to be seen by other drivers. The lights also help you to see in the dark. I also really like the skulls that have light up eyes. I know you said the colors seem backwards but I like it the way you wired them. Its like when the eyes are rojo, its like a gun ready to fire. Your motorcycle is unique and original. It is also bonita.
If anyone tells you that the switches are wired backwards, just tell them that turning the lights on makes the skull angry so its eyes go from a docile green to an evil red, lol. Looks awesome!
When you think about it, the red switches are cooler for when the light is on or off. When a gun or weapon system in a jet is "hot" it glows red to let the user know its ready to fire !
do not put that ram air hypercharger on a Vstar bike. With a carb'd bike and ram air you can only jet it correctly for ONE SPEED.... 80mph for example, or 90mph... because a carb cannot adjust to the changes in the airflow from the air blast hitting the front of the bike.... The bike will run horribly rich below that one speed, and dangerously lean above it.
@@KyleReese-vt8bo Not on all of them. The early ones for the 650 specifically were closed entirely Then they offered vented circular inserts Now, since they no longer offer xvs650 stuff, people just use a different model hopercharger since they all work as long as you have or make the right back mounting plate.
You know what would be sick!!? If you incorporated a DIY smoke machine/fog generator...you can actually make one from old e-cigs...plenty of tutorials on UA-cam. awesome mods!! very impressive. can you share any links to products and directions on how you did the brake flasher & brake and turn signal mods? much appreciated.
I,ev enjoyed watching your video several times. I don’t know if I’d do as many things as you, but if you could help me with a couple questions, it would be appreciated. First, did you install a terminal block to handle all the extra accessories? Second, dddi you run the wiring for the driving lights/turn signals thru the crash bars? And in addition, did you connect them directly to the turn signal wiring? Lastly, tell me about the lights between the bags and the fender-make, length, etc.. I currently have an 03 Yamaha 1100 I’m trying to resurrect to sell. Not sure what I’ll get as a replacement but these things I will incorporate regardless. Thanks so much for your help.
1) I didn't install a terminal block for the accessories. They're all connected directly to the stock wiring, each with their own fuses and connectors. But now that you mentioned it, a terminal block would've been a much better option. 2) Yes, I did run the wiring for the turn signals through the crash bar. That's why the setup looks clean, it's all hidden (at the 22:22 mark you can see the wire sleeving coming out of it). I just needed to drill a couple of holes for the light but other than that, it was pretty easy. And yes again, it's connected directly to the original wiring. They are LEDs so no need to worry about overloading the electrical system. 3) In the description of the video, there are links for some of things I show in the video. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying the same cheap LED strips I got. They gave me a lot of problems, and the quality is low (I say "gave" because I just sold this bike). If I were to do it again, I would buy them from some reputable brand. It'll be a little more expensive, but will pay off in the long run.
Nice man. Why not add round illuminated switch indicators to your panel switches to replace those taped on labels. You can put just initials or icons/symbols so they can be small.
Very intrigued by all your mods. Or the lights on the crash bar, did you run the wires thru the bars and, how did you do the wiring. I’m giving a hard look at an 04 650. Thanks
I bought it off Amazon. As of right now, mine stopped working so I don't recommend it, but if you're curious, click on the description of this video, there you will see the link to a document where you can find the flasher module.
Nice work bro. I have a vstar 650 custom , I ordered a hypercharger same you fit on .. but I can fit that on due to modification to do on jets . If you put this on pls let me know how to do
do not put that ram air hypercharger on a Vstar bike. With a carb'd bike you can only jet it correctly for ONE SPEED.... 80mph for example, or 90mph... because a carb cannot adjust to the changes in the airflow from the air blast hitting the front of the bike.... The bike will run horribly rich below that one speed, and dangerously lean above it.
Actually I had plans to make a custom gauge for the bike, but I sold my bike last year and I never followed through with my plan. I'm not sure if any company has made a gas gauge for this specific bike. Would be a good thing to look around.
I didn't install the backrest on my bike, I came with my bike when I bought it. But I had taken it apart a couple of times, believe me it's not that difficult to do.
Yes, it's not that difficult to install. I'm not exactly sure but I think they came with a diagram to do the wiring. You just have to cut the wires from your brake light and then hook them up to the module. As for you other question, yes, I ran the lights from the headlights (that's where I connected them to the turn signal lights) to the crash bars. Again, I don't remember if they came with a diagram. You only have to identify which wires are for the left and right turn signals.

Nice work bro. I have a vstar 650 custom , I ordered a hypercharger same you fit on .. but I can fit that on due to modification to do on jets . If you put this on pls let me know how to do

Hi how much money all this items cost you for customized your bike
I would say you could do it for under $1000, but it's quite labor-intensive.
Next do the crusty brake fluid reservoir replacement mod.
Anyone find out where to get the voltmeter with the handlebar casing? Been looking on ebay and amazon to no avail.

How to install universal DRIVER backrest ??
I didn't install the backrest on my bike, I came with my bike when I bought it. But I had taken it apart a couple of times, believe me it's not that difficult to do.
Another question. Did you install the “Back Off” module to your brake lights? What was the degree of difficulty to install? Thanks
