I would rather you ask the manufacture of the chair the answer to that question. I will provide a link to the manufacture here: www.harken.com (it is item #2234 at Harken). I would assume you can if you wear an approved safety harness also as a secondary backup unit.
Two comments...why ignore the manufacture's suggested procedure???? Second....why no "bounce" test to assure all systems are good to go. I agree with Ben also. NOT A GOOD VIDEO IN MY LIMITED 55 years of boating.
My understanding is that there is no reason to put human life on a bowline knot. Figure 8 on a bight is widely accepted as safe, I prefer figure 8 bunny ears.
I agree with other comments. How lazy of the producer of this video not to show bowlines being used rather than the 'def. not' procedure of using shackles!
could this chair be used for rope access work like window cleaning

yes, for cleaning on heights or light maintenance, learnt that in my construction technology class
I prefer MIO msb2-exp window cleaning.
Why would you upload this video?
So what’s wrong with it Looks safe
what is with the ~1 inch tail on the bowline?
That girl is cool as a cucumber 👌

I wouldn't be putting my wife on that deathtrap. You might at least follow the manufacturers directions...
Werd, they do it at work all the time, not for me.

Cassie is a total cutie
Between the improper use of shackles and the presenter's hair doo, hard pass.

She should have her hair tied up. It could get caught in the rigging.
