This is so beautiful, I did an ancestry test cause I wanted to know my roots. Ever since finding out I've been doing research surrounding igbo I hope one day I'll be able to return to the home of my ancestors
Thanks, Ndigbo are great our DNA is very unreliable and strongly speak, these one are born far away from homeland. The steps and voices is still there.
Are you Basque as well? I'm Basque Mexican American. My grandfather knew we came from Africa and traveled up to Basque country. Upon reading more into the language euskera I read that the closest dialect is Igbo . When I pray I dance and it's similar. The music is so beautiful, the people, the dance , everything. 💗🌸
I don’t understand what you mean? Was the money that was getting tossed on them supposed to represent rain? Or is money getting thrown on you called making it rain?
Katie Kat yes spraying money is a cultural gesture we do, it signifies our affection to the celebrant. We do this at any event weddings, birthday parties, cultural days, baby showers, even at funerals
We practice during the night and all the instruments are acoustic. full moon is beautiful And clear . All the young men may find their future wife that night. But they can not touch the girl. When the boys get home they will tell their DAD and mum what he saw . Egwu onwa. Means dance moon . Or moon dance.
@@toy5309 because at full moon in dry season ,sky is crystal clear with all the stars and its like noon in the night but with stars imagine that.......sweet childhood
Thanks to the organizers You guys and the dancers did a wonderful job I keep repeating or replaying . Please people should stop going in the midst of the dancers to spray money Stand aside to do that or give the money to the organizers .

They're so tired to listen to the hip hop music in America. Now they have remember where they came from.
Other races have taken over the hip hop music & dramatically change it to the vulgar standards of life that they live.
One can listen to hip hop and still appreciate their culture...one has nothing to do with the other...
