I'm glad you had so much fun in ranked with this ship, I actually started out with this ship in ranked and I love it. It feels good to have played this ship the exact same way you're describing here and makes me wanna continue playing it
I usually use the reload booster only when I can assure to hit the target consistyantly (when I assure my aim or when there is no chance of a smoke screen poping up) One thing this DD is good at is to flush DDs out of their smokescreens, unless they have hydro to see you coming, dump one side of torps or even both towards the smokescreen and charge. The other DD will panic most of the time except if you are against a very good chill player. When the other DD is visible, you can fire with your reload booster and annihilate the target in seconds. This works well especially at the endgame when the DD is alone and trying to smoke up against another of your fleet, possibly a CV.
Recently got Aigle and started the French DD line and REALLY like them. Fast, big guns, good torps, etc., they really play well. Was mostly playing USN and IJN DDs and had no idea the French DDs were so good. I think they're my favorites DDs now, and I liked USN a lot.
I can't figure out why all games are not "league-based". It must be in all players interest to be matched with players of the same skill-level as yourself. But apparently, Wargaming thinks they can make more money as it is. PS: Also, the tier-difference of only one in Ranked is so much better than the normal difference of up to two. Playing tier 8 in a game with a lot of tier 10s feels like waste of time. Say, if your tier 8 BB has weak AA and a tier 10 CV decide to go after you.
@@Salty_old_Viking the game already is supposed to evenly divide teams by skill level. However making full on skill tiers would make wait times impossibly long. People say their fine with several minute long ques until they actually do it.
@@micklane7306 Do you mean that Random games somehow match players with high win-rates together, and the same for "casual" players? Based on my experiences in WoT back in time, where we had these XVM-addins, I hightly doubt that Wargaming is doing stuff like that. You could easily see dark-red tomatos in games with Violet unicorns. I haven't found a XVM for WoWs, but I would like to know if they exists, or just see some videos with a UA-camr that uses these.

But because the game also tries to balance ship types like 1 radar ship on each side it gets messy and a lot of times fails so you'll see 1 side get 2 radars and the other side get none but the side with none likely has players that should be better.
@@LoanwordEggcorn One display option on the minimap is for AA gun range and one for detection by air. I use the “detection by air” ring with ships to stay clear of planes.
With you Bro. My fav DDs for ranked (and fav ships in ranked) are Moga and Kiti. In the Kiti, radom or ranked, my wins are over 60%, but not the Moga. There's so many ships trying to shoot you, my win rate is less than 50% in Random, but in Ranked, over 70%. That mode (and clan battle stuff) is what the Moga was made for. Great vid..
Do you mean Kitakaze, the T9 IJN gunboat? It's certainly good for gun brawls. Have not played Ranked or Clan Battle; how are they so different from Randoms?
@@LoanwordEggcorn Kiti is my slang for Kitakaze. It's a different play style than the Moga, but also strong in Ranked. I do much better in Random with it because you have smoke: a "get out of jail free card" so you don't have 10 ships shooting at you simultaneously. Also significantly better concealment which aids cap control, and long range torps. But everyone has different preferences, right?

Just got my first French DDs with Aigle, and T5-T7 tech tree and like them a lot. Really play well and fun. I actually prefer their play style more than IJN. My first DD line was USN, which are very solid.

The French fun switch is one of the most enjoyable parts of this game. One thing you didn’t cover is using the speed to run down subs. The Terrible is one of my best ships in Randoms.
Watching those yolo rushes convinces me that dead eye should have been changed to reduce dispersion of main guns when ships are within your standard detection range instead of outside.
The French DD lime was my first completed line. They are so fun and so underrated. I do end up taking the range mod for them though because the 15-16 KM rain of fire from HE rivals just about any CA/CL. Especially if damage con has been used, quick reload boost and boom...3 perma fires. Plus the speedboost yolo torps are always hilarious. Edit... except for Kremlin. Ive full torp unloaded on lile 3 of them and the dont die... crazy ships.

I remember one ranked season a while back where it was T6. I ran CV, which I am not that great in them, somehow mm allowed me to run a 13 ranked win streak. I burst out laughing because I couldn't believe I managed to ride such a winning streak with a CV when I am not that great in them lol.
My fantasque has a better win rate in ranked ( 49% ) than the Mogador and can it be the better maneuverability and the 7.5% ap enhancement so as to get citadels easier? Cleveland has a pretty good win rate also at 48% and that is higher than my overall average of 43% . This way of playing relying on speed and crafty insights is lots of fun and non stop engagement, similar to tier 2 battles. Great video I watch them all dude!
I don't know how you manage to run across DD's that are running in straight lines for almost any distance. I am almost always in a turn when I am spotted and someone is shooting at me while in a DD unless I am running straight away.
French dds are really fun but half the plays you made shouldve never been working out but this playerbase is so dumb they see you coming what do they do approach you instead of turning around so you can close the distance faster. Tulsa saw you the entire timeand what does he do? Hugging the island the only way to lose that engagement instead of increasing the distance to have a great chance at surviving. Sad part is this is standard gameplay better for you i guess. ;)
There are far too many long streaks (both win and lose) in this game to happen randomly based on my aggregated win rate. I think its especially obvious in Ranked. I have some tin-foil theories about it, based on the fact that Wargaming some years ago allegedly took a patent on an algorithm that influences a players short term win-rate. For instance, I noticed, that you tend to win more games than you would think, with a new ship where the modules are typically not upgraded, and you are still not perfectly used to the ship. (And if some players should have a higher win-chance, others should obviously have the opposite.)
Not really, it doesn't have a smoke in the first place so you can't flush him out of anything to speak of, he mainly survives by his speed and your shells are notoriously slow in US DDs, and he can just run out of your 7.5 km radar range whenever he wants because he's just that fast. one of the very few games where "ranked" is just a smaller version of random battles which fks the whole design of equipments and skills making people to waste more money. so easy to lose or win depending on where the group of idiots land. On my team or theirs.

I actually had a 12 win streak in Le Fantasque and have now finally made it into gold.

Glad you finally interested in Ranked again. I found Random playerbase doesn't take it seriously in winning. I always prefer Ranked to Random

Mogador is insane, i ranked through silver in one day with it, 85% WR, 26 matches. People just dont know how to deal with this broken baguette

I use speed build Yolo Emilio for Ranked. DDs don't expect yolo rush :)

You wont be able to do this level of carrying in silver or gold but mogador is one of the better picks for ranked, wp.
French DDs are so strong in competitive modes when used correctly.

It's not as fast, less maneuverability and no reload boost. But it does have a heal/smoke
