Way to hang in there dude! Last year was tough for me, I felt like I spun out and wrecked more than I did well! I’ve got a lot to learn but I’m not giving up!
Don't get discouraged. Are you using race monitor app? Always pick a class that's a couple spots before in the running order. Keep track of what the track is doing speeding up or slowing down comparing their times on track vs last time out earlier in the race day. Allows you to make educated choices on tire choices for your Kart.
Wise words. I do use Race monitor when available., it's a good tool. But I never thought of comparing other times. I will definitely be using this! Thanks
The grid guy at Jasper is my uncle. I grew up at crossroads Motorplex and the race track in my hometown names South Georgia Kartway in Valdosta Ga. I love being able to jump in a kart for the guy I drive for and get to do what I love
Jasper can be a very humbling track especially if all you have run are low grip type tracks but you hung un there and ran all the laps you could which is what you need around that place. Seat time.
Thanks! 🤝. I was definitely apexing to early, it’s amazing what you can learn watching back your own footage. Cross is 66, I’m set up for sandy short tracks. Jasper was a last minute decision, but nevertheless thanks for the feedback!
@@DegenerateGarage That track looks gnarly man. It reminds me of a track I raced for a guy in IL. I was making the same mistakes, finished with glowing brake rotors in 3rd in a $2,500 to win race. Went back and watched it and I realized I could have won if I ran the right line. It makes a huge difference on the exit, especially with the clones because you need the momentum.
@@randylahey345 Track was unreal, I’m gonna be thinking about it till I get back and turn some laps. After I got home and cleaned up the kart i realized my axle freed up and had half inch left-right play. Definitely made brake contact in the corners
@@DegenerateGarage I was more so referring to the two spin rule that a lot of tracks have. Not that you got in anyone's way. Although, the last lap the kart that came by I thought he made an attempt at taking you out. 22:05
I agree, after our back yard shootout I think I might have to get back on the scales. I never settled in during race day, watching the footage back I definitely would have made an adjustment.
Every night isn't a trophy and a check. I've never done this. You did. Watched it all. Keep digging!!
We digging! Thanks for the love homie!
Clones take a minute to get used to. Jasper is a damn tough track to get used to. Keep it up man! 🏁
Bigger curve than I thought! and I thought a gripped track would be actually "easier" to keep on track anyways.
The competition at jasper is always fast so you didn't do bad
You never gave up,keep diggin!!!
We’ve come A LONG way in 3 months!

Keep at it man! Had my best showing in box stock tonight, 6th in a good field. Long way from when I filmed this!

Gotta crawl before you walk. Jasper is a tough track to tame. Good showing however.
Thanks bud!
Subbed.
Those hard high bite tracks are a different kind of beast
BROTHER! I was getting my ass kicked out there! But I can't wait to get back and see what I can do.

I damn sure tried! Can't wait for more seat time.
When is the video coming out for the champ kart?
Champ kart will make an appearance soon!
@@DegenerateGarage I can’t wait to see iron a big champ kart fan
Champ kart will be interesting lol
😮😮😮 what do you know know about Florida let's lift that go-kart up baby😅😅😅
Maybe my yard kart! Gotta keep this thing low
Nice Go-Kart that's how we do down here in Florida off-road race Break Stuff and break stuff and reinforce
Jasper is a relatively hard track. 3 and 4 is slightly tighter than 1 and 2 so dragging the brake was always something to try out in that corner
How much power do they have ?
Whats the top speed ?
Common question! Round 15hp and as fast as you wanna gear up to! For Jasper we run around 50-55 mph
Less cross, more stagger, and take the entry wider when you aren't defending.

@@DegenerateGarage That's also probably why it was so unstable on entry and center. I figured you just had a ridiculous amount of cross (LF-RR) in it.

What motor is Pro Stock
196cc box stock project
@@DegenerateGarage Can you change the cam on this box stock. How about porting?
Cam
@@stevenburdick424 I purchased a built motor. But they have to follow WKA rules. You can find them online, no port and polish. Yes cam.

First time with a clone and first time at a fast track. Can’t wait to get back and have improvements
@DegenerateGarage you will be fine that is a tough track and some hard competition and you hung right with them
New too this what's considered a clone? I thought anything other than a honda or briggs was a clone.
It’s a box stock 196cc. I’m still kinda new also, but you’re not wrong in that sense, they are all “clones”
Gotcha, thanks for reply!
It looks like a nice track
Best track in Florida
I was surprised you didn't get Black Flagged?
I kept an eye out, no black flag. Part of me said pull off and get out of the way, but I felt I didn't trip anyone up. (to bad anyways)
Also Jasper doesn’t throw yellows unless your blocking the racing line and have stalled.

You’re getting there!
Your kart is too twitchy. Set your toe and a little neg camber on the right front.

letting off wayyyy too much in the corners...your pushing like a dump truck...you need a driver for your team...
@@socrates5162 thanks for the helpful advice. This was my first time in a box stock.
