The ones that have the game name in it, 21/100 + whatever I don’t know. The only other I did know was 600AD (Chrono Trigger). You guessed 27 times. Clarify the series and you might be as good as Jon...
I feel like I could have gotten more if i could listen to the clip in isolation, when they merge that makes it much harder. Some were obvious, like Rhythm Heaven, Katamari Damacy, and of course, Mega Man 2, but others, like Super Meat Boy, i couldnt hear looking at it the first time.
I listened to the audio first and then I watched and counted. I got 26 correct. Still kicking myself sports missing Duck Hunt, Undertale, Shovel Knight, Golden Sun, Mass Effect, Metal Gear, and Tetris
Name that tune was a real game show back in the day. And yes "one note" playing on a piano was sometimes done by contestants. I think two notes was his lowest here.
With how many Dragon Ball Songs are done with a guitar I wanna see him do Gohan vs Frieza or Gogetas dbz theme or maybe some from DBZUT because Jesus that’s cool how he just mashed 100 different songs together
I got 40-ish out of 100. I say "ish" because I didn't actually write down the names, but instead put down a tally every time I could correctly attach a name to a tune in my head. It'd probably be much lower if I actually wrote everything out.
I based this on how many times I could put two and two together on where the track was in the game, given that I knew I couldn't just avoid watching. Probably knew about 40-50 of the games from visuals but could only recognize 19 tracks. I kind of feel weak as gamers go.
If you remember, last year he explained there was a certain "flow" he had to come up with for each of the songs to connect with each other, and that was from a prior video he made before the first TRG Colosseum, same as the rest of the songs on this list. I don't believe this year's segment was planned in advance, so he probably didn't have time to come up with a new flow to bridge the songs differently
@@Oblivionitus It was definitely planned in advance, he played this during the Thrown Controllers Tour. He kicked Jon out of the room before he did, obviously.
This must be extremely difficult for Jon since he likely has 5000+ games under his belt likely even more than that. Of course you could argue that most of the songs are from well known series but the argument still stands since of all those games Jon has likely only played those games a handful of times.
5 * 60 = 300 300/100 = 3 this seems unforgiving for each song to have 3 seconds each, he doesn't even have enough time to write down the name in that time.

Hearing the songs played was cool. But it certainly wasnt a fair challenge. Like, even if it wasnt supposed to be, this was like, inhumanely unfair, hope the forfeit wasnt yoo bad
@@heartfullbutterfly314 Just kinda defeats the purpose, though, if you have a test where half of the answers are the same as they were last year. *shrug*
But there was also double the number of songs compared to last time, even though the last 50 was just a repeat of last year's. So since they doubled the number of songs but only increased the time by 66%, mathmatically speaking he had even less time to guess the songs.
@@EpicLuigi He definitely did better than double last year's, so he has improved. He guessed 30 of the 100 songs and got 28 of them right. I guess its mostly a matter of "how many of the new ones did he get right" vs remembering the old.
I don't know whether i like this challenge... even if someone immediately knew ALL those songs, sometimes they switched from one song to the next to the next in like 5 seconds, how are you supposed to write all these names down?
Do you know how hard it is to tune a guitar properly on the fly while you're playing 100 different songs in a specific order? Even if he had 3 partners (each handling 2 strings) the music flows far too quickly, attempting to change tunes would make it unplayable
BREAKING NEWS: Jules has confimed Jon got 28/100... from the 30 he wrote down! He passed!
Do we know which ones?
Wow improvement!
1PressL2P That means that, concerning the songs Jon wrote down, he got 93%!
Most importantly... Did he figure out what D was?
@@adamrhodes9533 He did, it was Duck!
the real challenge is listening to this without seeing whats on screen then re-watching just to realize what was played.
pichu girl6 I did this the first time and got 22 songs. It’s not easy.
I did this and got 18 of them.
i love that he basically just added an extra 50 onto the one from last years Colosseum
Can't wait for colosseum 3 with 150 songs in 7 minutes
@@eviltables8510 in 9 minutes. 50 songs in 2, 50 songs in 3, 50 songs in 4.
Oh. So THAT'S why people were calling him Professor. I... Came in at the awkward bit right after...
Don't think I didn't notice the last half was the original 50 songs.
Also "The letter 'D''came back
What I think happened was that Jon got “Myst” mixed up with the game “D,” has a similar style and tone
I'm gonna guess that D might've been him starting to write DDLC but moved on the the next song because he was rushing.
I'm surprised how well the string of themes from Together We Ride through Bayonetta Mysterious Destiny actually works out well.
I'm gonna play along.

I like that early edit that makes it look like Jules vanishes from existence only to be replaced by Guitar Jules.
I think Jules would make a good teacher in real life. Professor Conroy actually has a good ring to it
I found it funny when they did the "all together" for rhythm heaven
That transition from Touhou to Super Hexagon to VVVVVV gave me whiplash. It was extremely well executed, but christ it felt jittery.

i recognized all of those songs from last year’s version of this 🤣

Just saying, this is the FamilyJules equivalent to Rhythm Heaven's Final Remixes, which I'm secretly hoping he'll cover at some point

Didn't help that some lasted like a second or less, especially Kingdom Hearts. Others didn't sound like their actual songs.
Like Minecraft?
Of the new 50, I got 8 - maybe only 3 or 4 others which were games I had played but they were really hard to pick out.
Damn, 38/100 first try. Rough but super fun.
Never expected Age of Empires.
Now I want to see if there is a rock version of the theme
I love half of the games are in the exact same order from last year. All Jules did was add 50 songs before the beginning of the original.

I still think the Minecraft one was the most cheatsy out of all of these.

For me, I got a lot of the new fifty this year right.
Will totally test my friends on this to see how many they can guess.
I managed to get 33. I don't think I did too bad. Although in fairness I did watch last years one before this.

having Crazybus in the medley is just cruel

did tim preform with jules tho?
