      Yep - not to take away from Green Day - who are pretty cool on their own.. but I seriously doubt that 20-30 years from now, you will see crowds for a more contemporary band singing along w/a recorded version of "American Idiot" ... lol

    It’s 45 years since this song was released. I can’t for the life of me, imagine any current songs that will have that sort of impact on people in another 45 years time. Bo Rhap will never die, it shouldn’t be allowed to. Freddie was a genius. RIP beautiful man

    This was 40 years after the song was released, and probably 75% of the crowd weren't even born when it came out. What a tribute to Freddie and Queen.

      Most of this crowd is probably under 20. Some of their parents wouldn’t have been born when this song was released and a large portion of the crowd were born at lest 4 or 5 years after Freddie died.

    There were more than 65,000 people at the concert, and they sang it perfectly in tune.
    It must have been an incredible experience to be in that crowd, all joining voices, hearts and souls in tribute to Queen and Freddie. I'd imagine almost like some transcendental coming-together.
    lol you can tell that a song is immortal when the crowd sings the guitar solo!
    What you said about Freddie looking down upon them ... look at the beginning of the vid, at the cloud on the left - after a while it looks very much like Freddie's silhouette.

    Just stumbled across this when I was looking for the original video. I was at the front of that crowd! It was the best experience I have ever had at a concert! Green Day do open with that at every show they do, however, I have never experienced it the way it was that day. I'm a massive Queen fan as well but was sadly too young to see them live, I do remember watching their epic performance on Live Aid though. I watch this video every now and again as it just takes me back to that amazing atmosphere x

    Green Day toured the world that year and had Bohemian Rhapsody played to every crowd before they came on stage and every crowd from South America to the Middle East sang the song. Those videos are on UA-cam too.

      I think I remember BJA saying that they heard the crowd singing along to it at another gig and so they decided to film it for this one. He's a Queen fan (who isn't?) and when they play in the UK it's always on the line up. I think he said it's become a ritual now, it has to be played.

    This is the first time Queen opened for Green Day!! 😂😂 The sky is absolutely beautiful & I’ve got the feeling that Freddie was quite happy with what he saw from the crowd!!     i was at this show , the crowd was the best crowd i have ever mingled with ... it was a special moment in time i wont forget it ever. i liked your reaction stumbled on this from other crowd reaction youtubers but have to mention that you are absolutly eyecandy to watch ..subbed

    I totally totally agree this video gave me tears of joy and happiness and took me back to the day's of live aid etc. Thank you for sharing l can watch this over and over again and still feel proud to be a Queen fan, Freddie Mercury we miss you too for erenity.

    When Freddie went to Eternity in 1991 it left a Hole in the fans. Someone got it in their head that if enough people sang Bohemian Rhapsody at the same time that it would Summon Freddie. This is 65,000 people and it still didn't work. I'm waiting for when they get 1 Million people.

    Ow georgeous one, did you see the clowds shift from almost a facial image of a guy (left in screen) as if Freddie looked down from a bright heaven into (at the end) a dog touching an elephant, turning your screen it almost looks like a hand, giving a blessing from heaven.... This is immortality at its best..... (for me)

    living in northern Ca. in the 70's I have gone to a crap load concerts and rocked out with (Ronnie van Zant ) Lynyrd Skynyrd , Led Zeppelin, (Bon S.) AC/DC G&R among others, in total around 50 or so, I even found a way back stage for Aerosmith but the one I wish I could have watched was Queen. I see concert footage of the showmanship along with once in a lifetime music but what stands out is the pure enjoyment F.M. displayed in front of the crowd truly missed

    The crazy thing about this is that I was there, and it did NOT sound this good in the actual crowd. I have some clips that I took that I'll get around to uploading one of these days. Either way, there is no denying that this DOES sound amazing from the stage.

      It's probably like being in an orchestra: each player only hears the instruments immediately surrounding them. They don't get to hear the whole symphony in all its glory until the playback.

    Put this into perspective here - this song was written before some of the members of this crowd’s parents were born and the lead singer for the band died 5 or 6 years before most of the people in this crowd were born themselves.

    I am not a Green Day-Fan, but the album "Dookie!" of the band is a must-have-record in every collection! :-) So is the album by their "rivals" Offsping, which is named "Smash" and it's a must have as well! And to Queen ... every album or single is a must have! Queen might be the best and biggest band on this planet ever existed! Well, at least at my opinion! But I am only working like 30 years in the music bizz! What do I know!? o_O :-)
