- Hey guys! It’s that time of year again! It’s the end of August (btw where did the time go?!) and everyone is heading back to school. As a mom, this means it’s time to do a ton of prep and back to school shopping. So, I figured why not show all my fellow moms out there a few of my favorite children’s books! Evie absolutely loves these, and I actually do too! Ha! Educational, fun, and enjoyable even for parents! If you’re not a mom, consider these as great gifts for family and friends with young kids. Share your favorite children’s books down below! And comment what I should film for my next video!

Reading to your child is so important. Any time you can encourage reading to your child go for it. Even if she’s playing with toys or you putting your makeup on. Have her turn the pages. Bring books when you go swimming. Put books in your purse. A lot of times we feel like reading is a bedtime thing when naturally reading can be anytime. By the end of the day you will be surprised how many books you read if you just place a book in your routine. Love your channel! I just found it.
During my childhood, I read a TON of Junie B. Jones books and they were so important to me. They're sassy and funny and I think you and your daughter would love them! ❤
Hi from Liverpool england, my son loves The dinosaur that pooped a planet, he is your typical 7yr old boy that loves rude noises so this book is right up his street and he laughs so much when we read it, there is nothing more satisfying than the laugh of your own child x
Anything graphically and alphabetically beautiful are a yes for me. I love reading children's books.. Always cute n cures a sick heart.
Try ‘The Book with No Pictures’ it’s hilarious and my boys love it. It teaches them that books don’t need to have pictures to be good or funny.
I already love Fancy Nancy and how your Mom has fully embraced being the real life version of Fancy Nancy!

Tina Dordevic I LOVE LOVE The Giving Tree! Anytime a friend or family member is expecting I always buy this one as a gift.❤️
Aww - I am LOVING reading your book suggestions below as well! Glad you liked this one!
Jenna Dewan journey tdz
“My School’s a Zoo”. It’s about going on a field trip with your class and then dreaming the whole school ( the principal, nurse, bus driver etc) become the zoo animals. It’s a rhyming book and so fun my son had it memorized because we read it so much at three!
My kids favorite is a new book called “Tony And His Mythical Friends”. They love the illustrations of the mythical characters. Great story about friendship and inclusion. I like it because it opened them up to the idea of camping and enjoying the outdoors!
You are absolute mum goals. If I have a little girl one day I want to be just like you - fairy camps, beautiful books, and I love that in one video she was throwing a masked ball with her friend. SO adorable.
It's great being a mom 😊
My daughter has the in my feelings book. And when she has a feeling she can't express we pick up the book and read it!
It's such a great book!
My 7 year old son and I read a LOT of books as well. I also read to children at my job. Chris Haughton’s book ‘Shh! We Have a Plan’ is a win with every child, even ones who don’t like to read. They will fall off their seats laughing. My son’s all time favorite book is Gloria Rand’s book ‘Prince William’. It’s about a little girl who saves s baby seal from an oil spill.
Thank you! May have to pick those up :)
This is the best video you have done on your channel! Something totally different and inspirational for everyone. Please do another book video on your favorite books!
aww - thanks I am glad you liked! It's a nightly ritual at my house!

Great book selection! My oldest would like the shel Silverstein books (I loved them when I was little as well). He also has a ton of fun with those “find and seek” books and the elephant and piggy books. I think the fairy book and the feelings book would make great additions to our library for my younger two. My son really enjoys the diary of a wimpy kid books. All of my kids have always enjoyed goodnight moon, chicka chicka boom boom and it’s okay to be different.
My students LOVE The Book With No Pictures! They beg me to read it all the time! 😊
I love your videos!
Loved this video and will have to pick up some of those books! We love shel Silverstein as well and have read Where the Sidewalk ends. My daughter loves it and she has a few favorite poems in there she likes me to read over and over, or we pick a couple to read from if we’re not reading a typical book that night
Tickle monster kit by Josie Bissett is soooo cute and gives lots of laughs. We love the mo willems pigeon books, and never touch a monster. We are a big reading family too :)

Check out the book called Wake by Shawn Dougherty. It’s about the love of nature and how all things are connected. Such a sweet book with beautiful illustrations.
It s really good .Thank you 😊
Love this video a lot & this is a fun subject where we learn so many interesting and neat things about you we never knew before! So my contribution to all the lovely and worthy childrens books worth reading that I want to give you is a sweet, touching story I remember my Mother reading to me as a child called "A Toad for Tuesday" by Russell Erickson about a Toad to gets captured by an Owl and the Owl is all "I'm gonna eat you!" but cant bring himself to do it and the Toad and the Owl become friends but then it gets more complicated and the Toad saves the Owl's life in the end and their uneasy at first friendship becomes a true caring and lasting bond. I always had the warmest memory of having this story read to me long ago and its always been special to me!
I loved Robert Munch books when I was little especially 50 below zero and also Juny B Jones and flat Stanley
Anything by Robert munch !! He’s so funny and there’s something for a child to learn in every one
Btw I love your channel so much

Would love to see more mommy videos from you!
My daughter loves Elephant and Piggie!❤️ She learned to read with them in Kindergarten. I would recommend the Knuffle Bunny books also by Mo Willems. You both will probably love them! There are 3. Have an amazing day!😊
Most Excellent Video! 👍👍
‘Rosie revere engineer,’ ‘iggy peck architect,” and “ada twist scientist” are the absolute favorites in our house. And fall out of their chairs funny book - “book with no pictures.” Don’t read this one right before bed.
For smaller kids (maybe under 4), Pout pout fish.
I personally love Tom Fletcher's children's books. He has written some with Dougie Poynter about dinosaurs for younger children and some children's novels. They are really good! :D
The Book With No Pictures by BJ Novak is a family favorite 📖🤓
My 5 year old loves the book called Spoon . It's a book about spoon not knowing what's special about himself. It's a really cute and cleaver book.
We are also bookworms! My two little girls (6 and 8 years old) especially liked the books of Lieve Baeten "Curious Little Witch" as they were 5 years old. As a schoolchild the older one likes " The Little Witch" of Otfried Preußler pretty much. Love your videos! Greetings from Germany!
I really enjoyed falling book
I'm a huge bookworm myself and passed it down to my two kids. Some of our favorites standalone books have been: Oh, The Places You'll Go! Goodnight Moon (when they were babies), If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Rainbow Fish, Stellaluna, Guess How Much I Love You, Pinkalicious, The Day the Crayons Quit, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, and Little Owls Night. We also love series. My kids are 8 and 10 now so they are interested in older books but in the past we've read Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew, Goosebumps (still do!), My Little Pony chapter books (Friendship is Magic Box Set), and my daughter and I really love the Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls books because it's 100 short stories featuring different successful women or girls from different cultures, nations, and times. It's an excellent book if you're looking for fantastic female role models.
my daughter's fav is anything by Shel Silverstein or Julia Donaldson!
Love this video❤️my son is 8 we also read before bed he loves any book by Mo Wilems.
Very funny books agree!!💕

Hi Jen, your books sound just as joyful as you are! I‘m from Germany so I don‘t really have book suggestions for you haha but I really want to raise our baby bilingual. What book would you prefer reading to a young little girl (1-2 years old)
Love, Sarah
You’re here for a reason by Nancy Tillman is a great book, the dandelions tale by Kevin Sheehan is awesome as well.
All those books seem amazing, specially the feelings one. I'm 17 but this video made me want to read children books so bad!! I used to read a lot of books related to the fairy world because I love it!! I would recommend you and Evie any book by Spanish poet Gloria Fuertes. She's really good!
Fancy Nancy was all I my parents read to me and was the first books I started to read
