This game is great for people who love exploring. 23 hrs in and Ive barely done any main missions but I've spent about 15 hrs just looking for trouble 😂
Same on hours and dude once you start the main mission my advice to you is be weary of Bravo Team. I just went through a mission that burned through most of my supplies and sanity, but I loved every minute.

Really loving stalker 2! Never played a stalker game before but S2 has one of the best environments of any game I’ve played. If they can fix the controller issue and increase performance it’ll be even better
Same for me. I've never played the previous stalker games so stalker 2 is my first entry into this game. I'm loving it so far. The atmosphere in this game is one of the best I've experienced. I'm playing it on PC on Steam with all Graphics settings on Epic and it looks amazing.
Awesome game. Some of y’all are heavily coping thought. Stealth is broken; I can crouch in pitch black and still be seen. Enemies have ungodly accuracy at distances they shouldn’t be able to hit you. I’ve been soft locked from progressing the game when you first meet scar. Had to reload back several hours to fix it. Performance is horrible, I have a 4090, my fps still slams to like 20 at parts. The much hyped ai system is broken, enemies spawn right on top of me. I once cleared a building just to have an entire squad spawn on me, and then another. Game needs work, but the bones are really good on this game.
I almost wish they would add camping into the game.. it would be cool to go out and make a camp and sleep so you don’t got to travel all the way back to town .. Or just for the survival aspect

The game is honestly trash. I think people have been waiting so long with the push backs of release dates. The hype is over looked with the actual quality of the game. UE5 with Stalkers system, the game is unpolished, AI is lifeless, the voice acting is pretty corny. IMO.
I play on pc, m+kb, but I plugged in my xbox controller to see what people meant and holy moly that's just unplayable. They have to prioritize that immediately.
Wait are you telling me my controller isn't that bad? It has a drift, but I figured it had gotten worse when I started playing this not that it was the game.
yeah, the grok's mod allows for personal customization to adjust however you want or choose a balanced option. The mutant hp is even worse than having chain spawning groups of enemies back to back before you even loot the last group of corpses which can be intense, frustrating and exciting at the same time, especially when you are encumbered with loot from quests and 4 groupspawns back :D
Imagine a game that's meant to be hard like it says survival game yet you gotta go super easy mode and reduce health? Lmao that would be like nerfing bosses on dark souls with a mod cuz you can't beat them lmao its sad
@@CasperBlackbird exactly, in the hard mode it was mentioned that your gun damage is even cut by half if I'm not mistaken, so the fight against bloodsucker is even more tedious and not fun.
@@anubisperry7234shit take dude. The bosses in Dark Souls are sometimes demi gods no shit they need to be op. This game is more grounded in reality so please explain how a creature made of flesh can tank multiple ak clips to the face. Unless there some lore that states there skin is made of steel. Even then AK rounds would penetrate steel
Walking is extremely tedious, Especially when it sends you halfway across the map for a 5 minute mission and then has you walk across the map again to talk to an NPC, You literally spend more time walking from missions then actually playing missions
I won’t lie the reason u disliked mutants was not a good reason, from the gameplay the person playing never repaired guns or knew how to loot as they barely had ammo. Mutants make a part of what stalker is. They have also been in the last three games and modded versions of those games. Once u figure out what mutant u are fighting they are much easier to take care of.
Often the quest reward isn’t worth the ammo necessary to complete it. And endurance mods and mutant balance is completely necessary ATM. There is obviously a lot of coding issues there. There is nothing fun having to stop running every 10secs. It was necessary 15yrs ago and still applies today.
Don't play the game with the English dub for the voices, The Ukrainian voice actors are 100% better and the subtitles more than make up for it. I restarted my playthrough and I got a a huge burst of emersion from this little change alone, if you can tolerate it I suggest Disabling some of the HUD options as well. Remember you are a Stalker, not a call of duty operator. The game is meant to be played at a slower pace, Good luck out there.
I played 1 hour of stalker 2. Until I stopped and started playing the first one instead. The bundles is on sale. I'll eventually get to 2, it's not going anywhere.
As much as I'm enjoying the game, the emergent gameplay I've experienced has been enemies constantly spawning in areas I've already cleared. I hope that's a bug.
I love the game but it needs some optimization real bad.. Ryzen 7 3700 + RX 6800 + 32GB Ram on 1440p, medium settings can barely push 45-50 fps in some areas.. The game is great but it definitely needs optimizing asap.
in my opinion this game is fundamentally broken in performance and mechanics. the fans of this series were so desperate for another entry they are literally ignoring all the blatant problems and calling this a good game. It's kind of silly and the exact reason developers and publishers get away with releasing unfinished, un working beta tests at full list price. this industry is regressing because so many people can't criticize or take any criticism and just accept wet garbage all the time and call it amazing. Theres never been a time with more attention on graphical detail and what seems like almost none on working, cohesive mechanics that fit together and make up a whole game.
I'll be honest here....gamingbolt's incredibly biased coverage of this game has solidified that I don't take their opinion much more serious than entertainment at this point. this isn't 'coverage of a game with information' this is being a fan boy.
For the walking, you can fast travel by talking to a guide at any safe zone. As for in-region travel, get used to it. The Zone isn't your friend as much as it isn't any cars.
The voice acting is often terrible. It’s weird how often the side characters have much better acting than main ones like Richter. Can’t stand Richter… haha. And the lead protagonist sounds like generic cool American guy, but like he’s from a different game. Sounds like Kyle Crane😊
There is and I've heard that there are 4 endings. The story can be a little disjointed though. That's a consequence of the level of freedom they're trying to give the player. I'd wait a couple months for them to iron out the kinks and fully implement the A-life system.
Thats just a blatant lie. I've got a 7700x and a 4060ti running this. That's a 1600 dollar pc at most. Mind you I'm running ultrawide 1440p, so yeah stop bs'ing people.
@mkapidzic6408 well wtf you want them to build something that will run on a ps4 pro? 😂 at some point, these games need more horsepower, its 2024. You don't need anywhere near what you are saying to enjoy it at 60fps at 1080p, shit with some tweaks even 1440p.
If you’re not playing this game with Ukrainian voiceovers…then you removed half of its unnerving environment. You’re not playing Stalker. Do NOT touch encumbrance. Learn it, and stop pretending you need to carrier everything in a satchel with 12 guns and 34 sausages. Just stop.
Mutants have always been bullet sponges in the series and I hope they don't patch it out. Fighting a blood sucker should always give you a slight panic attack and suck up your resources (don't worry, you'll find more). But another thing for new players is to check out the shotgun. It's worthless against humans but quite effective against mutants.
The original trilogy had it dialed wayy back. The only mutants I encountered in the original trilogy that had even close to the amount of health of the average Flesh in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 were Pseudogiants, Chimeras, and Burers. Of which were some of the tankiest enemies by design. The mutants in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 are way too spongey.
@mcfeddle not really. I took down a flesh with a couple of magazines of the pmm on veteran (in CoP it took me like 30 minutes and 3-400 bullets from an AKM to take down a pseudogiant). I think the real issue isn't health, but the erratic movements, making you miss easily. Which partly is solved by using a shotgun since you have the spread.
My biggest problem with this game is the over abundance of healing items at all times i have 40 med packs also game is too easy braindead at times i dont know how peole die and dont get me started of how bad blood suckers feels to fight not engaging at all i will say i enjoy the firefights though
I'm a hoarder so limited carrying weight is a big issue for me. Constantly being encumbered is annoying especially when I have to walk vast distances back to base to drop off supplies in my storage chest. I know there is a mod for unlimited carrying weight, but I want to play the game as intended by the devs. They should reduce the weights of food, healing items and ammo because when stacked it can be really heavy.
As a fellow Loot Goblin, you have a skill issue. Drop low-condition guns (unload them first), don't carry a ton of supplies, and always plan your route to loop back to the nearest stash. I tend to carry with me for short forays: 10 first-aid shots, 3 antirad shots (optionally with 2 bottles of Cossacks, Beer if you're a jabroni), 15 bandages, 5 of any food (condensed milk or canned food is best), 60-80 of any sidearm cartridges, and ~200-300 of most longarm cartridges or 60 shotgun shells depending on where you are. In case you don't know, personal stashes transfer across the world and are always syncronized, that is to say they function like Ender Chests from Minecraft. So long as you keep bringing more from your raids and leaving what you don't need in the stash, you should usually profit from it. I hope you find this helpful. Good hunting, stalker.
You can do a few things to help with carry capacity. You probably don't need 20 medkits or bandages. Same with ammo for guns you aren't using. Look for anomalies that help with carry weight or upgrade your armour for additional carrying capacity
Thanks for the reply guys. I'm already doing most if not all of what you're suggesting and I'm still often getting encumbered from all the loot I want to hoard back to my storage chest lol. I never take the red weapons, but I do unload them to get ammo.

I've had the odd bug that's made things difficult but the only bug so far that I've found very frustrating is the enemy spawn bomb.
Are you able to change the time of day? Looks good but why is everything so dark?
Unfortunately no, It starts to get annoying fast considering enemies can see you through cover and have insanely good aim and you can't even see them
Enemies spawn back too quick and too random. Also the flashlight is too dim. That’s all the issue I’m having at the moment.
The dimness isn't the problem for me, I'd say the problem is how far it reaches.
