Intrasexual competition as he said it. Older women can't beat young models with their looks, so they can just shame and gaslight men for their choices until they succumb to their will. It's a hack in the system. Trying to circumvent and re-engineer, male "hypergamy".
He also is doing what every other man in the world would do IF HE COULD. It's like saying "Wow women who have infinite money keep buying new shoes even when they have shoes."
apart from the luxurious lifestyle what does a 25 yr old woman find attractive about a 85 yr old ? lol no way the sex will be better than with a younger fit male unit
Exactly. Same thing with when Hugh Hefner would be in his sixties and seventies and would be dating women in their twenties( Hefner would even date teenagers, too but that's something I draw a line at and I thought that that was really creepy).
@@JR-ju3kj yeah, I’m totally at ease with large age gaps, 20 years is totally fine. For me, 25 years of difference is pushing it at pretty much any age.
too shay 😄 but in all seriousness, what disqualifies most men for me is their mental and emotional maturity which can always be improved on. all hope is not lost :)
@@d3r4g45 hmm looks no. status maybe cuz that comes hand in hand usually with education. but nowadays the internet is there for everyone to work on themselves. I for one always advocated the power of reading books
Honestly I don’t blame Leo. He has the status to pick and choose whoever he wants and also these women who get with him know that as well. These are grown ass women making the choice to get with him too
@Jojo Moa it's a relative statement based on the context of quantity potential within the dating pool. He didn't mean literally everyone and anyone you dummy..
When you got twenty year old women chasing you, you got twice as many forty year old ones chasing you. They will invade the schools to sleep with you if you are young and demand that attention. You can always get women your own age much easier than ones half your own age. The younger ones are more sought after and harder to get, but worth it.
Women his age have been ran down by dozens of guys and are emotionally and mentally broken. Most have kids and bunch of baggage from previous relationships.
Leo is one of those good luck guys that have good looks, famous, celebrity, money and works in Hollywood. Women that seeks the same (top models for example) no wonder love to hook up with such men.
I remember in my 20s walking through the city centre and having no one giving me a second look. One day I bumped into a female friend from school and walked around with her for around an hour just catching up and I noticed how many women seemed to be checking me out.
As a girl, this never made any sense to me (esp. evolutionarily). Like why would I go after a guy who's already taken vs. one who's freely available?? Seems like a waste of time in terms of my "ticking biological clock"
true. a perverted way to value men by peer review. even more so that it becomes really hard to interact and date someone if you are already in a relationship. that is, it is, this "checking out" is mostly a waste of time for their part.
@@londontipton6260 "Mate-choice copying," when an individual finds potential partners more attractive when they have already been chosen by someone else, happens across the animal kingdom. In birds and fish species, it helps females select high-quality males, and provides an evolutionary advantage. (Basically seeing women with a man makes you attracted to that man more because subliminally you think well if she is with him then he must be a good man...) where as if you see a single dude alone you think something maybe wrong with him. That is ONE theory anyway.
@@londontipton6260 it's subconscious for the majority of women. It's a signal that this guy is around a pretty girl which indicates that his offspring will also have the ability to attract/associate with pretty girls. Every single attraction cue is a signal. Men only care if the woman is attractive, women take into account many different factors when choosing a mate.
@@d3r4g45 It just sucks that, despite being a pretty good looking guy, I'm still viewed as inherently less attractive by default by women because I've been single my whole life. It doesn't make much sense but then again the woman's perspective never made much sense to me to begin with since after high school I never really interacted with women my own age.
It is, always fun to hear what a woman of 53's perspective is from someone who will never know😂 If I were 25 again and had a man be honest enough to stick an expiration date on my forehead I would have thanked him and been his best friend. It would be refreshing if people were more honest about their relationship goals. Some men want a family and children and some woman want to be arm candy, wear Gucci and be famous by association.
Oh no darling you wouldn’t. Leo is exposing female nature. Every single girl thinks that she will be the exception or is after the goods despite Leo’s proved behavior
"hey honey, look, I'll throw you out like a piece of sh*t when you're 25 and the only reason I want you is for s*x and having fun, now , you're probably Totally ok with that , I just wanted you to know that I'm an honest man 🥰"
I've generally dated younger women for most of my adult life. At 56 I'm finding women who are technically too young for me are still to old to be appealing. So I'm really just enjoying all the benefits of single life!!
If we were in his place, rich, famous, good-looking, etc, we would do the same thing? He's 47, if I was 47 and I had a choice between a 20-year-old or a 50-year-old, I would rather have a 20-year-old.
Nah.... I'm more the woman 5 - 10 years age gap n either direction. Me at 44 doesn't want a serious relationship with a girl 20 years my junior. I have nothing to talk about. And for the uninitiated, sex usually gets better with older women. You can only phuqq the young birds. You can entertain and be entertained by the 50y/o.
Younger females are still exploring and experimenting. There is excitement and they are easily impressed. Females at 50 are often not impressed by much and are usually overly controlling and assertive due to past relationship trauma. They are also desperate and highly suspicious.
Just exercising his options as a high value man. When you look past the cope and at the dating site preferences, you see that many guys in his position would do the same.
Why would they? Is our society this hedonistic? I’ve fucked hot woman, young woman, older woman. It’s not that different to put up with a gold digging 25 year old with zero intelligence for slightly better sex. Speak for yourself. It’s always incels who haven’t had proper relationships who think Fucken young women is nirvana lmao
@@rudy1999 The problem is that modern womens dating strategy is exploitive. But every exploitive strategy is prone to be exploited itself, as any game theorist will know. And that's what Leo is doing. Modern women don't want to bet on a promising young guy, they rather take the finished product. They want all the benefits with none of the risk. A promising good guy and a beautiful 20 year old might fit together. But what makes you think a 22 year old beauty is good enough to lock down a hollywood star worth 300+ million? She'll age out of her beauty pretty fast but Leos pot of gold will only grow bigger. So maybe at that point one girl is not good enough anymore. And why should it? What can a 22 year old woman have accomplished to deserve a guy like DiCaprio? He worked his ass off for 30 years to become what he is today. What did she do? She managed to not get fat by the time she's 22. That's it. Hardly comparable.
Umm women aren’t just dating the ‘top’ guys (whatever that may be). Incels are mostly people who have already given up trying. It’s a self defeating prophecy. Most men are average looking and find someone eventually. It’s not as if there are a ton of single men and all the women are in polygamous relationships with the hottest guys. You can give up and be bitter and shallow but it won’t get you anywhere.
@@hanswurscht6625 Well most men are looking for more than just a young thin woman. Men aren’t the only ones who accomplish anything or who grow and evolve over time. Leo is just shallow. I’m sure a lot of the more successful women in Hollywood would steer clear of a man like Leo.
I think there may be another reason for women's disgust at Leonardo Dicaprio's dating habits in evolutionary terms, beyond "intersexual competition". Particularly, I think we often forget that women did not have reliable means of birth control throughout virtually all history. Sex generally meant pregnancy. If we lived a long time ago (or really not very long ago at all) Leo would be impregnating young women, staying with her for maybe 2 years, and then leaving her and her children to impregnate someone else. Maybe he would have resources, but that doesn't change the fact that his sense of priorities lie elsewhere, and he would not benefit his former partner and child as much as a man who stays. It then makes sense that women have evolved to think highly of a man who stays, and disgusted by men who don't.
I think you're right. But let me add something: Women hate what Leo is doing because its exploiting their mating strategy to the core. Lots of women would prefer to kick 90% of men to the curb to only marry the very succesful top 10% of guys. Ofc that cant work because there's not enough men to marry, but it's also not going to work because the top guys can now pick from a huge pool of women. So they wont settle down. No one is going to marry them. Most guys are not good enough and the good guys rather enjoy variety than settling for ONE chick. It makes sense if think about it. Male reproductive strategy is quality or quantity. If only the top guys 'reproduce' they wont invest in offsprings. This is the case in every single mammal.
Majority of divorces are initiated by women, if "men who stays" was so important, this would not have been the case. Also the "good humble man" that would be the one to stay, would be the most sought after in the dating market. The opposite is true. The hot, rich, alpha, that can be with anyone and has highest competition with (therefore less chance of "staying") is the most sought after in the dating market. In essence women want to mate with the genes of the winner, that is the top priority. And that is a good thing, we want to have future generations of humans have as much as i.e. Schwarzenegger, Musk etc genes possible. Therefore it is in our interest as a society that this winners mate as much as possible. That means many women get to mate with one top male. Therefore this "winner genes" have a chance of spreading the most. With animals is like that too. And male biology (millions of sperm in each male) support this. How to pay for that child is important, but a second priority, a more rational level of selection. That can be mitigated, unlike the bad genes. Getting pregnant with good genes and making another "good man" raise and pay for it is one strategy. This is why humans have unique "covert" fertile windows unlike other mammals.
We had a similar "how dare he?" moment in France when a famous author/tv show co-host wrote in his book he wouldn't date women over 35 or so (can't remember exactly) while he's in his 50s. The thing is, DiCaprio and this man are both surrounded with plenty of attention from all kinds of women and more, their lives are far from the common man, why are we even criticizing their choices when they live in quite the bubble? This doesn't speak to us mere mortals at all!
This is also very onesided. Why is it always successful men that get criticized for it? The casting couch phenomenon in hollywood has been well known for decades. But it's only the men who're the bad guys. It's never the young women who're trying to get an advantage by offering to sleep with them. I mean, these women are as hot as they come. You have to be quite the guy to resist that. Lots of women are selling out on their youthful beauty. In fact the internet is full of them. Instagram is full of them. Nobody complains about that, cause it's only women who can do as they please. So when women capitalize on what god gave them, that's totally fine. They can only capitalize on youthful beauty as much as they do because it's rare. Because it fades very fast. And when they're done capitalizing on it, when it actually faded, they can pull the victim card and complain about the men they once exploited. Paulina Porizkova is the best example for that. She was a supermodel back in her days, commanding ALL the attention wherever she went. Now she's 57 and complaining about being invisible to men. But if 57 year old women wouldn't be invisible to men, she would have never been able to capitalize on her youthful beauty. So what is? You can't have it both ways.
It's the male dominated industry and the fact it only selects women of a certain age for movie roles etc. Basically if you're a white dude you're privileged
@@reeedazday4145 You got that completely wrong. In hollywood beautiful women have the chance to make millions before they turn 24. That's the one who's really privileged. Men are on average alot older before they hit their movie prime. And you know what, men can't even sleep their way up. There's no female DiCaprio offering his wealth and network to good looking 22 year old guys. If you're a man you have to make it on your own merit. Ofc that gets twisted to being a disadvantage for women, like everything. But even the oh so bad Harvey Weinstein made alot of stupid young chicks rich before they turned on him.
@@reeedazday4145 Nah most women are crap at acting and the talented ones are still acting don't make shit up women usually get roles bc of their looks which is unfair for men
This is my take. I think he stops dating them at 25 because he knows he will not marry them or give them kids. He leaves them at a age where they still have time to find a partner and produce kids. He knows women have a biological clock so he doesn't want to waste anymore of their time. Idk just an idea 🤷♀️
Lol...yes, it's purely altruistic and Leo is really considering the biological needs and wants of his patner when deciding to date women in their early 20s. He's just a really good guy and it's not an aesthetic choice based wholly on beauty.
He is absolutely not thinking from that perspective. Sugar coating the truth. Women lose their looks once they turned 25, some of them look completely different after that age. Its like night and day before they turned 25 and after. Majority of guys want younger women, its a biological trait thats always been there. Not all guys are able to pull it off now a days, but some guys like Leo can. The truth is every guy wants a girl that is younger than 25.
Actually the explanation of avoiding the last of a woman's easiest childbearing years makes the most sense. Not out of concern for the women, so much as ease for himself. Not only are younger women in peak physical condition, but they also aren't obsessed with getting married and having a baby before they hit 30. Past 25 and women start focusing on that, particularly if they're in a relationship with someone they would like to have kids with. I'm sure the very rich DiCaprio fits that bill. I doubt he's ever dated a woman for several years and then not had her start at least hinting at marriage/pregnancy desires. I think that's why he replaces them with someone still focused on just having a good time. Peter Pan, but if you have enough money and don't actually want to be a father, why ever grow up?
Bruh being all that famous, successful and handsome just to spread none of those genes 💀, and yet the lower end of population is the ones to reproduce the most. Evolutionary this makes no sense
Growing up needs to be redefined. Many people just want to enforce their standards onto other people. Leo build his life to do whatever he wants to do in a responsible manner; sounds more grown up than 99% of the population.
Why not just date women who don't want to have kids? Yes, I know those arguments but they're sophistry at best. Set your values and stick to them. It's not hard.
It's his business and his girlfriends', not mine. I do find the comments here interesting. I am glad I didn't get married at that age to an older man. Some people (women too!) "fetishize" an age bracket, and dump the guy / girl or start cheating after they "expire." I'm glad I waited until I was older to get married, and glad I married a guy who found women older than me attractive, too.
If that's how he wishes to live his life, then so be it. Honestly, who cares? It's none of our business. I don't get why some women are so butthurt over this (speaking as a woman myself who is over 25). Good on Leo for living his life and being happy.
I don’t think so, men have been doing this for millennia. There are far less but still a few women out there who are older and date significantly younger men too. It’s fine it’s just preference. As a female, I only feel butt hurt if someone blatantly says my best years of beauty are behind me cuz I know that not to be the case. I’m not trying to be attractive for any select group, I just finally feel happy with my appearance and I worked hard at it too!! And, if I’m not mistaken, that level of self esteem would set me apart from my younger more youthful self.
@@melissaloves2draw you got good view. You cannot change nature, it is what it is. On the other side men are butthurt that women pay so much attention to the wealth. And yes I’d say lots of insensitive people live online. I rarely get on here to comment but this was a fun episode not to comment on. 😂 I will say I do get very angry when married men cheat on their spouses to go screw around with other women, usually younger, cuz it leaves the woman with the whole pile of responsibility and the guys tend to just get away with it cuz it’s apparently male nature to mess around. That does irritate me. I’ve watched it happen too many times and it’s devastating for the woman who has to raise the kids, deal with the shame of not feeling attractive or good enough for the person who once loved her... Really good point! I feel like it might have been brought up in interviews individually with the women. But yeah the media never focuses on that. I think it's because it's usually a one time thing for them vs. for Leo there is a clear pattern as the graph astutely shows
@@londontipton6260 A one time thing, but for MANY of them. While is a pattern but for ONE Leo. It's really interesting why would many women choose this. For me even more interesting than the one individual choices.
@@d3r4g45 I think what it is is that women see the previous women that Leo dated and the general pattern of them being able to rise up in Holly and get more opps due to greater media attention. And I would hold your horses with this being ONLY a pattern for Leo cause many men in this comments section are saying that they would do the same if they only were as rich and famous.
Should be obvious, he's Leonardo DiCaprio. He brings lot to the table mainly a high status social life that many women in the world can only dream of ever being part of, his girlfriends get to meet other famous actors, go to the best restaurants in the world, best social events, etc. It's basically on par with a medieval peasant girl that wishes should could be with a prince, it's the social class lifestyle that really helps that he can offer them for a time and even afterwards these women might be set because of some of the connections they made along the way.
This is interesting and directionally accurate. However there are exceptions. A few years ago when I was 34, I dated a 51 year old smoking hot sophisticated librarian. She was well read, cultured, adventurous, opened minded and just fkn gorgeous. No way would she date down. The age gap was a bit much for me because I felt that if I wanted to have kids I couldn't with her, so there is some truth to youthful women having an edge, but going out with her brought me significant attention from other women because I felt that it showed I'm mentally on her level. We were an attractive couple and the age gap drew positive attention to both of us.
What? There is "some" truth to youthful women having an edge? Buddy, there is ALL the truth in the world to youthful women having the biggest edge anyone ever had. Every fucking product is advertised with a hot chick. That should tell you everything there is to know about this.

I agree that there’s nothing wrong with having preferences and if he wants young ones, he has the right to do it. Other women or anyone coming at him with all the critiques and huffing and puffing are jealous or simply not happy with their lives. 🤷🏼♀
unfortunately these young girls are not adequately informed of the possible extent of emotional abuse and long-term trauma due to the power imbalance in the relationship (i.e. Leo has years and years of more life experience, money, power, etc.). that's why I think so many people like me have a huge problem with what he's doing. it's manipulative but cuz he's rich, famous, and good-looking he gets away with it way too much - looked up to by other men who wish to be spoiled with that many good mating options and by women who do not properly understand the repercussions of enforcing this seemingly harmless dating "preference" cuz they get lost in his ocean eyes
@@londontipton6260 The thing is with young girls nowadays: many of them don’t get to the point to actually consider the consequences and cons of a relationship with an older men. They see the money, the fame, the bling-blings and his so called handsome face. One of the takes I heard about girls noticing you more when you have a girlfriend, is that, basically, girls actually compare/compete with each other.. Meaning, when guy has a girlfriend, girls have some reference of his "worth" in terms of a girl he's dating.. If that girl is hot/valuable in their social circles, they are likely to be attracted to the guy because they approve choice of the girl highly ranked in the social hierarchy, or they would even date him simply to be proven better than the highly ranked girl he's dating at the moment.. I'm not sure how accurate/scientifically proven that is, but it certainly sounds interesting, at least to me :)
Why don’t women start blaming the women who are dating him? He’s not manipulating them and it’s completely consensual. Stoping pushing the image of oh so innocent girls falling for a star, no one is that stupid.

Dating Leo for women is like a right of passage, like being a "Bond Girl". I don't think they care if he doesn't plan on marrying them, he shows them a good life for the brief time they have and they get to brag , they were once a "Leo Girl". Crazy thing is once he dumps them he can still remain friends with them. When my relationship ends, I stay connected to my exes for like 2-3 years tops and they get married and unfriend me. Only 2 girls I still have friendships with that were former lovers. I use to be a film publicist, so girls literally I think only dated me so I could bring them to fancy places and events.
Leo does it because he can, & good on him for it. Supply & Demand wins again. All the outrage is coming from those who can't (have supply) ... or aren't (in demand). Economics 101
He can do it because he has money and social contacts. Those women are willing to trade in their time for that. All he is to them is an ATM and introductions guy. Women in their 20's don't find significant age gaps sexually attractive. They might have daddy issues and feel emotional safety but it's unlikely seeing as they'll know his history for high arm candy turnover most likely they're turned on by money and are happy to be transactional. But that's prostitution, any man can buy a prostitute in her 20's...so I don't see the big woop.
@@sheveka Agreed. Men mistake what high-value actually is simply because they see women chasing after certain markers and lifestyle. These men use women as a benchmark to guage how they should be in the world. The problem is they still are putting women on the pedestal, still chasing female validation. These men don't realize women are easily led by their biological drives like magpies for shiny objects, failing to parse beyond the superficial. Women only begin to realize this when they're no longer desirable. A man with a good family actually produces something meaningful, not just for his own life, but for society at large. Someone like DiCaprio has value only in the eyes of those men who envy his lifestyle and cling to it for some sort of model for existing, and those women who desire him. A man should be gauged by the meaningful quality of his life, rather than the fleeting attention of women and men. It seems the men who want to emulate this lifestyle put women on such a high pedestal, they forget to forge anything meaningful in their own lives.
Men with fame, power, and money can get whoever they want as long as they are of legal age. Period. Women that accept to be just arm-candy, do it happily and willingly for a few minutes of fame and possibilities for their careers. It's what we call in business, a win-win situation devoid of love. And above all, this is a matter that's none of our business.
I find it absolutely hilarious that there are women who think Leonardo DiCaprio can't attract women his own age as if there aren't women of all ages willing to just throw themselves at him, especially since most of the women complaining are women around his age who are salty they can't be with him
Yeah lol, that's the worst coping EVER. But you know, that's the female point of view, just a little exaggerated. In the end they all value warm feelings over facts.
They're probably salty that he is the example of all the shit men they've been with at the age of 25 who made them feel special just to get replaced and are pissed that they're seeing that happen to other girls 😂 I'm shocked by how dumb these men are super ignorant about how women experience life.

Could it be that people who are dating someone are more appealing because it's an affirmation that they aren't so strange that their undatable? For example, take two 40-yr old men; one is dating and in a seemly stable relationship, while the other is single. I think it's a common assumption that the one that isn't in a relationship has something wrong in their life that makes them an undesirable companion. No one wants to shoulder another's baggage. As for the other man, it may be assumed that he has his "house" in order and under control, and that's why he's dateable. I once know someone who wore a wedding ring just to improve his options for dating. He said he was more appealing to women while he was wearing it.
That is the reason. There is a reduction in the asymmetry of information if you know the other person is already with someone. Basically they passed a sort of background check because someone was willing to date or marry them. If you are single as a man having a good white collar job can help in this regard. Women be like "he's probably not a serial killer he's the vice president of accounting."
Man wearing a ring. If you want a woman who would cheat on you. I think the walking around with a female friend and maybe striking up a conversation with someone on an elevator, escalator, waiting room, even a grocery store, or restaurant ... is a better strategy.
I'm completely optionless right now in my life, unlike most women I know. Even unattractive girls that I know are in long term relationships. Multiple types of women (even genuinely unattractive women) are considered attractive. Whereas even attractive skinny fat guys don't have a single leg to stand on in media when it comes to representation. Plus every woman I know is doing light-years better than me. mAlE pRiViLeGe my ass. Going back to school is my last resort but that seems like a pipe dream unless the incredibly stubborn college I went to hires me full time, but I have a feeling I'm just gonna have to get used to being perpetually single for a while. I just wish I had as many options as women in my generation do. I wish society gave as much of a shit about men as it does about women.
Women compete aesthetically with each other; their ranking in regards to other women effects their confidence & self-esteem. The only women that complain about Mr. DiCaprio's dating habits are older and/or less attractive than the women he has available to him. The subtractors don't have access to that ranking of man - nothing more complicated than this.

@@MindfulAttraction2.0 I work as an entrepreneur on my now six-figure business, but my success with (younger) women comes long before that. Once I turned 40 I really started working on myself getting in shape, and studying a lot (self improvement books, pick up artist books etc) and getting good at game which is ABSOLUTELY key. Simple formula actually, just takes long term commitment which few can keep up before making lame ass excuses for themselves. There are no shortcuts for success.
Same here...and I am out of shape with only a few bucks ....Imagine if we had Leo status...we will f.u.c.k. the living crap out of every girl in the planet jajaja
I think that he just knows what he wants and he understands the reasons why these young girls are with him, so, no reason to be delusional. He have life so extraordinary to ordinary people to understand.
I think I might be in the small percentage that feels that Leo has lost his looks. He’s got a slight beer belly and he’s not as handsome as he used to be back in the 90s when he did Romeo & Juliet, that was the hottest he ever looked 🤷🏼♀️ let’s be real here, women go after him because he’s extremely wealthy (hypergamy) and he’s Leonardo DiCaprio, the biggest movie star in the world!
Obviously people will have differing opinions on this but objectively, let's say if you could average on womens opinion on his looks, he probably didn't decline. And he gained heavily in status and wealth. Which is why he probably never had a hard time getting laid, but you can be sure that it's been getting easier and easier for him.
I totally agree. I don't understand why people keep saying he is handsome, because he didn't age well. He is still a phenomenal actor but became sort of opaque and complacent.
It’s weird when people in their early 20s date 17/18 year olds in high school. How can you not see the difference in maturity and standards? If the age was any younger or he had a daughter that age everyone would be going on about how messed up this is. That being said if they’re two consenting adults, the younger is aware it isn’t permanent and the older doesn’t have kids, it’s not as bad as it could be by far.
DiCaprio not dating women above a certain age: "creepy," exploitation Women not dating men below a certain height or income: healthy standards, preferences lol

I disagree… many examples of older women dating younger men that people think is “creepy” Aaron Taylor Johnson’s wife is one that comes to mind! She is 20 years his senior or so and he was 18 when they met. Also Harry Styles and his partner! I don’t think it should be celebrated or scorned or analysed as long as everyone is of legal age and consenting then what does it matter
It's funny when the cope and bitter comments like he can't get a 40 year old come out. Everyone knows you are in denial. He's a top 1% male. He's doing what he's meant to be doing.
@Jojo Moa yes, the top percent of men in today's society and all of human history get the most women , who are typically at their most fertile and attractive in their early 20s. Its basic biology and we've known this forever. Nothing shocking about it.
Now I understand why Leonardo DiCaprio won’t date girls or women over the age of 25. This analysis seems very credible to me and possibly to a lot of other viewers who watch your channel. Seems like younger women are far more adventurous and aren’t usually eager to formally settle down just yet. Younger people in general are keen on further exploring their own tastes or preferences when it comes to their would-be partners/spouses.
I worked with Leonardo when he was like 14 - pre-fame - in 1989. He had a recurring role on Growing Pains, of the boy friend of the daughter of the principal family. We went on a Carnival Cruise ship - The Tropical - from LA to Puerto Vallarta Mexico, shooting until that first port of call. Like I said, it was pre-fame, he was really kind of non-descript, nothing that spoke of the star that was to become. Marilyn Monroe spoke of watching Clark Gable during her childhood. And since she was a waif, without father or mother figures, she said that she identified Gable as a father figure to her. Both Monroe and Gable’s last movie - The Misfits - was Gable picking up Monroe on the rebound from a Reno divorce. At the same time she was breaking up with her husband who wrote the movie, rumored to be with some French actor, and pre-presidential JFK and RFK. So this kind of thing has been going on for quite some time, although at that time Monroe was in her late 30’s. I think that Monroe was the type of woman what cinematographer John Alonzo would call “75 miles of bad road”. Men couldn’t help but be attracted to her, and it was probably heaven when their relationship began, but soon the pavement ended. The tendency to go back and start with a younger woman could be that there is a tendency of women picking up emotional baggage along the way, and it becomes just too heavy and kind of self-flagellation. It could be that the reason that DiCaprio did so well in Scorsese’s biopic of Howard Hughes - The Aviator - was Leonardo is much like Hughes in some aspects.
You should see the snl short ‘meet your second wife’. Perfect representation of how a huge gap if you analyze it is creepy haha. The idea of a Hugh Hefner guy with two young women looks on the outside like a guy that’s winning in life but as you mature you understand how shallow and sad that must be. Plus it also makes it hard to connect with friends your own age cause they are having completely different lifestyles
Leo has done nothing wrong. I keep saying it. He doesn’t want to settle down so he definitely has to date this young and he knows when they’ll start getting serious about the future so he saves them both of a headache. He’s honest as can be they’re the ones dreaming of locking him down lol. And before anyone claim there are older women that doesn’t want to settle down too yeah you have a point but really how realistic is that? Leo enjoy yourself man.
if we take dating as a transactional theory: Leo has high value, wealth, looks, celeb. The women he dates have to match his value themselves, but in terms what males value and that is amazing looks that is linked with youth. They lose this value with time and the relation falls.
Everyone’s entitled to do as they please but to me it’s a bit gross he has all this wealth and doesn’t want a family or real connections with a woman especially with how he panders on morality with climate issues. Just something about it makes me think he’s not really a great guy or normal. The Hugh Hefner type life has always been gross to me personally
What makes you think he doesn't have a real connection? Is getting married and having family the only way to have meaningful connections , that's kinda basic and boomer type rhetoric
Jack Nicolson did a similar thing for decades. Then he had used his last go. He could no longer find a woman who wanted to be with him until he decided to move on. Then he was just alone.
Most guys in the world would take that anyway. In fact most guys in monogamous relationships end up being victim of female initiated divorce and end up alone anyhow.
I consider myself to be aging like fine wine thank you very much. 😝 Not all of us consider child bearing years or twenties to be the best years... and thankfully so. Would suck if you just imagined yourself as being unattractive or less attractive and less desirable after 25 or 30. More women should realize this and quit worry about it so much. Every time I see women with plastic and Botox, it’s like well, there’s another one who can’t handle it... if men can age gracefully with no worry, then so can we. 😊
I would never ever consider 25 to be during my best years. Although I was very attractive, I would NEVER want to relive those years. They might have been my best years from a male’s perspective, but certainly not mine. And yes, I am so much more picky now. I would have dated anyone who showed me attention back then. It is true, but maybe you have to be a woman to fully understand what that means?

The only time I've found Leo attractive was when he was "Jack" from Titanic. I was a young pre-teen at the time, and swooned over his character who was as sensitive, caring, and devoted as he was clever, brave, and resourceful. He freaking sacrificed himself so Rose would be spared from the icy waters! In my young girlish mind, could a more perfect, beautiful man exist? Fast forward a few decades. He did not get better looking. He has a weirdly wide-set face and a dad bod - definitely works for Teddy Roosevelt tho. Excited for that. And the real Leo is just a ok-looking 50-year-old who wants to shamelessly f*** as many hot, young models as possible. By reading the comments, I suppose many admire (or are envious) of that lifestyle and rationalize it with ideas from evolutionary biology. I think deep down we all know there's something unsavory about it - probably for similar biological underpinnings (perhaps an instinct to protect young women and their potential offspring?) Would you want your young, inexperienced college-aged daughter in a relationship with a notorious 50-year-old f-boy, regardless of his fame and status? Would our ancestors want that for their daughters? As the man gets older in years, the optics of this sort of couple get more cringey, sad, and embarrassing. We all know each party is using the other in some way. The relationship is fundamentally transactional with (most likely) little to do with love. And there's something tragic about that - even when it's glamorized by famous, beautiful people (*I still hold my opinion that Leo is not physically enticing). But I suppose if you want to know what men are really like, first look at gay men - the amount of sex + sexual partners they have. Then I suppose you can look at high status hetero men like Leo who can do whatever (and whoever) they want. For women (who still have some girlish dreams left deep inside them) it can be a depressing fact of life. I'd wager that most women would be more envious of Chris Hemsworth's beautiful wife and family than the young women Leo has had short flings with. There are obvious reasons for that... And not just because Hemsworth is worlds better looking.

Funny how a lot of older women complain about Leo dating only women 25 or younger when they used to be the ones running after older men at the same age.
Only the ones that manipulated older men and later got dumped for a younger model. The rest of them are still idealistically looking for a male “partner”.
One thing that didn't come up is older people in general have a lot of emotional baggage which leads to manipulation and toxic projection of personal faults into new relationships. Why date someone who brings a bunch of problems like this?
@password 12 He has been riding the wave of youthful optimism and good sex with women at their peek, plus he's a Hollywood a-lister. How much baggage does he have? Probably not much, and when his dark side comes out the relationship is done and both sides move on.

Women can be smart in their 20th and stupid in their 50th, it all depends on women and it's just his preference, I don't think it has something to do with the mental ability of his girlfriends, I don't understand why some older woman get defensive, Leo is not the Universally handsome man, everyone has their own taste :D
I'd love it if you brought in a female perspective on these type of chats (M.Peterson is the don obvs). When you were talking about the difference in expectations/standards of 25-53 I feel it's much more nuanced than this. The standards of a 25 year old woman are coloured by so many outside factors that you don't realise are irrelevant until you hit your forties. As a woman you are bombarded from birth with the pink bomb of advertisement and sexualisation. The films where basically every prospective mate is Tom Cruise 50-65 average (the flip is true for boys - you're leo and the girls are always young). Then at a certain point in your life 'ping' you realise you need to find out what YOU want and who you are. That was a ramble. Basically get some more chicks chatting with you I think it would be awesome.

I wish folks would stop giving him so much grief about who he’s dating, the dude can do whatever he wants as long as it’s not illegal. Go on Leo, blaze a trail playa!
This might have worked for Leo, but it doesn't mean it's suitable for everyone, we know celebrity life is different and has its own issues. Because if a man and a woman have 10 years age gap between them it most likely cause problems simply because two different generations are dealing with each other. Also the age difference might cause infertility especially for the woman as it's clear that mating or marriage's number 1 reason is reproducing and rising healthy offsprings, Bertrand Russell mentions this in his book. So I think couples should consider age as an important factor.
He's not dating them for serious relationships or reproduction, he simply keeps them around for sexual pleasure. This works for every man, just walk in to any strip club and see men 20- 30 years a girls senior lusting over young tenders.
A 10 year gap is not enough to cause "generational" issues as all generations span approximately 15 years from the earliest/oldest to the latter/youngest cohorts. How do you explain the fact that most people marry within a 5 year age gap and yet the divorce rate for first time couples has been persistently high throughout the decades, particularly in advanced Western countries?
@@sweetaznspice1 Yes that's correct, but I think that age gap is ONE of the issues that needs to be considered. In Western countries social and economic causes influence relationships. And here in the East we have different causes that harm relationships like a closed culture and religion. But overall I do believe a couple with a relative age with each other might be better in solving there issues and maintain a stable relationship or marriage.
@@sweetaznspice1 Statistically speaking, the larger the age gap, the greater the chances of divorce, even with your '10 years is not a generational age gap' argument. It can just be easier to partner with someone who's 'doing life' on the same time-line as you.
I’m 59 and married to a woman 19 years younger than me, we now have two kids... I just know what I want and I don’t have any feeling that listening to an old (my age) woman complaining about how tired she is will make me happy..... wingers drag me down.
The REALLY wrong part is the fact that he watched his most recent 25 year old ex grow up since she was only 10 years old. He was besties with her dad and looked at as an Uncle for crying out loud. There is a term in psychology for this: GROOMING. The very definition is that the pred@torrr gains the victims trust from a YOUNG age so that when they become legal, they are already well trained to trust them. Taking advantage of this trust and watching her grow up while he was 40 years old and she was 10, IS WRONG.
Whatever floats your boat I guess. I think immaturity and lack of experience are MAJOR turnoffs, which is why I don’t want to date women way younger than me (I’m 30)
Totally agree. If men had their choice they would always choose a younger woman. Leo does it because he can. He obviously doesn't care if he looks shallow.
You do you, perfectly fine. But don't complain when women won't stay by your side, don't give you sexual attention or leave for someone more rich than you. Because this mate selection behavior has the same "downfalls" like the "modern woman" supposedly has.
When you actually go to the trouble of making a graph just to talk about someone's sex life , this is when you know you've got nothing better to do lol
Personally, I don't get why his attraction to women hasn't aged as he has. As I have gotten older, the women I find "head turning" have gotten older as well. I am very happily married to a smart and beautiful woman. She is still Hot. If I had to date again, I would not have any interest in a women younger than 50. I have three daughters aged from 42-36. Maybe that's why. When I see the women in a Victoria Secret catalogue, I'm not turned on because those girls are younger than my daughters. To find those girls sexy is creepy. A woman who had aged with style and grace and maintained her figure, that chick is hotter than the girls Leo dates, IMO.

@@hanswurscht6625 Well most men are looking for more than just a young thin woman. Men aren’t the only ones who accomplish anything or who grow and evolve over time. Leo is just shallow. I’m sure a lot of the more successful women in Hollywood would steer clear of a man like Leo.
@@mercurialshift5793 No they dont. Young and slim is all thats required. You can grow and evolve all you want but that makes no difference.
😂 it’s 2022, deal with it.
@@1017-y9x to expect to " get over " millions of years of biological evolution is the most intellectually dishonest belief in modern culture today.

@@reeedazday4145 You got that completely wrong. In hollywood beautiful women have the chance to make millions before they turn 24. That's the one who's really privileged. There's no female DiCaprio offering his wealth and network to good looking 22 year old guys. If you're a man you have to make it on your own merit.
“The chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” -Bertrand Russell

I think the walking around with a female friend and maybe striking up a conversation with someone on an elevator, escalator, waiting room, even a grocery store, or restaurant ... is a better strategy.
i would do the same if i had options to so many women
Exactly. Most men would do the same if they could.

Leo's face in the thumbnail is hilarious!!!😆😆

Women compete aesthetically with each other; their ranking in regards to other women effects their confidence & self-esteem.
How old are you?

Exactly! Cool that you're a female and are aware of things like hypergamy
DiCaprio not dating women above a certain age: "creepy," exploitation
Women not dating men below a certain height or income: healthy standards, preferences

Free world. Living the life Leo!
But those younger chicks also get older
Then what to do about
I worked with Leonardo when he was like 14 - pre-fame - in 1989.
Family gives life a deeper meaning and with that the longterm bonding with a partner.

Chris, your channel is excellent! 👍
Leo is every man real hero. Good for him for enjoying the best life can offer.
I’m 59 and married to a woman 19 years younger than me, we now have two kids... For me I spent the last 15 years prior to marriage dating women that were 15 to 20 years younger than me.... it wasn’t my plan, but I worked in a position that they seemed to find interesting, with some prestige.. I personally need to have a sporty partner with some intellect and ability to make her own money without dissolving my life savings... the more strict I was with my needs the more interest I got and I don’t think that I’m that super hansom....
BIOLOGY doesn't respect your theory.
He's a Gr00mer 😬

Yikes, I didn’t know this. That’s horrific.
The conversations with them must be very enlightening. "I like totally made a Tik Tok vadeeeeooo, and it was like totally totaaaaaaallly"
no one has told these ladies how it is, or else it was all just ignored

What Leo is actually saying is that he’s incapable of truly loving a woman.
This topic is going viral today. This is the second video I've watched today.
The first thing i apply on discussions like this is rule number one
''Reverse the roles and restart the discussion''
Most discussions end right there
Any 50+-year-old woman who only dates men below 25 is still considered weird in society.
And i thought that i’m a freak because i don’t date women BELOW 25, but obviously i’m far away from Leo’s volume
I enjoy Julie from Gregg's. Is that bad? IDK. Thanks for the hug Carol.
Whatever floats your boat I guess.
I think immaturity and lack of experience are MAJOR turnoffs, which is why I don’t want to date women way younger than me (I’m 30)
In time you will, brother. In time you will...
That matrix programming is strong in you.
When you actually go to the trouble of making a graph just to talk about someone's sex life , this is when you know you've got nothing better to do lol
he seems intellectual with the his sentence's.
somebody hold my Notion
Hey, it gets clicks, clicks and views mean money.
Statistics is a path to many abilities some considered unnatural.
But graphs are fun
Beta AF.
Let's be honest, if we were a famous actor and can date who we want , we would all do like Leo!

I’m 40 and I had 24 year old chasing me a while ago. Some people tried to shame me for it and I was like nah…but I get it now. Incest disgust. I think it’s jealousy too or just feeling like they can’t do it so nobody should. None of the labels fit me. I’ve dated woman 5 years older then me too. Not caring what other people think is useful.
Woman my age couldn’t keep up and I just seem to attract younger woman.
@Jojo Moa
Woman my age are attracted to me. There are fewer single ones that don’t have kids my age. I’m 40 as of this year. Most of the guys I graduated with are bald with beer Bellies and they play darts or go bowling. I go backpacking and hiking in the mountains and people usually think I’m in my late 20s early 30s. I dumped a woman that was 43 because she was kind of dragging me down. She didn’t want to do anything but have a kid and get old. I get it but I wasn’t interested in the getting old part. Some people just conform and do what’s expected of them when they teach a certain age. So what’s maturity? Can’t walk up the stairs without the knees creaking and back hurting?
I like being alive and I take care of my health. Right now I’m only interested in dating and no kids so it works out.
@Jojo Moa
Do you know many 40 year old single woman that have no kids and are physically fit?
Most of the physically fit woman without kids that I meet are younger then me.
It mostly has to do with compatibility.
If they eat allot of cheese and drink wine every day then they won’t be able tp keep up with me. No offense intended.
@Jojo Moa
She has kids. I don’t have kids. She also likes dating younger guys after Kanye. Plus did you see what Kanye did to harass Pete? That’s what you get dating a divorced single mom. Been there done that. Your always going to be put last. Child comes first and biological daddy is going to be a problem.
I’m not against dating anyone 40 but it just works out I meet younger woman because they introduce theirselves to me. That’s how it’s worked out lately anyway.
