Re-watching this again and I miss my inferno. My nephew got it about 2 years ago and he still has done nothing with it, But I did get a nice Levono M710q for it. My gaming computer got to stay for games and this has been for the web. My 5b is still going good.
no the baja has a weed whacker engine essentially. way more revs so it can keep on pulling for longer than the little nitro engine. however it weighs much more so it can't get of the line. also that thing looked almost completely stock. i am guessing the brakes or at least the throttle/brake servo are stock. so it had a very hard time slowing itself down. i have a baja 5SC which atm isnt much more modified. i took it out to tune after some upgrades a few weeks ago and flipped just the same.
oddly enough i was in a car park too although i had the stock dirt tires and they had tarmac tires. the standard brakes are terrible. try slowing it down and barely anything happens. try doing a 180 with full brakes on and if you are going slow enough on tarmac it will turn a bit and then the g forces will react to the very soft suspension and the tires will still grip so it flips over. i have way less plastic rollcage as of then. i flipped it and it carried on for at least 100 ft on its roof.
zano, the 5b sounds pretty good with the right engine and pipe. mine is the 26cc with a jetpro pipe and sounds pretty good i think! kinda like a pissed off chain saw!
Nitro and electric in the same class like an emaxx vs a leaned tmaxx 2.5r(.15) or even better 3.3 (.20), depending on the drivers can be very competitive. No one will argue about torque and rpm regarding electronic vs nitro but a good operator can make all the difference. Nitro is more expensive long term between fuel (35-40 a gallon) and glow plugs (5-8 a piece), Short term you will fry your wallet to get a good start on electric. They're both fast and rewarding toys.
@marcelj1221 but they both can be pretty expencive depending on what you want but electric will still be cheaper like all you need is battery charger and i would reccomend lipos and a good tekin brushless motor if your a beginer go with a 13.5 or what ever you are comfortable with
IMO the 1/8 will win everything but the longest run time per tank challenge and maybe tall grass and larger stoned areas. the 1/8 4WD is a plus, plus less weight, lower center of gravity and the nitro can run at a higher rpm. But you cant beat the sound of the gasoline 1/5 unless you have a 4 stroke.
1/8 to 1/5 , different fuel system , different concepts 2wd and 4wd ,it s like comparing apples to pineapples , you could run nitro vs Brushless for the same result :P
lacucaracha111111 The fifth scale has a lot more weight to is so its not as nibble. Personally like my 1/5 over my 1/8 nitro but I also like my vintage 1/10's over my 1/5 and love my slash the most. But they all have one thing in common. Their all fun to run...
One thing about the baja, is it has really sloppy steering, especially at higher speeds. thats why the enferno is so much more controlable. Also everyone knows you gotta mod a gas baja to get it to rock.
judging by the sentra with the coffee can muffler, these guys know fast cars and how to tune them, LOL, this is why brushless and lipos rip, gas and nitros drip.Soooo sloooww
Do the test again, with a tuned nitro engine. Nitro will piss all over two stroke, any day. Harder to tune than your strimmer with wheels, but worth it.
The inferno doesnt sound to be reving to high. Doesnt sound like a race engine to me. Dump a Nova in it, all over for Baja. Run a bigger clutch bell, the 1/8th buggy will smoke em off the line and top out at a higher speed.
That inferno is designed to run off road, not to take whole shots in a parking lot. Take it off road and watch that hpi get spanked. My 2.5r tmaxx has more top end then that inferno also, a little more tuning on the HSN.
The cycle of the engine means nothing when you are discussing fuel. Plus I don't know of any piston engine that does not ignite at top dead centre, somewhere during the cycle. A nitro engine IS a two CYCLE engine, but it runs on nitro fuel. When someone asks what motor you have in your car, you don't say "Oh it's a two stroke nitro engine". Nitro is proven to burn faster than petrol, that's why top fuel racers use it. And then you have power to weight ratio's, how heavy is a nitro motor?
SYNIC 08 INFERNO BUGGY, it never had 2nd gear.i think your talking about INFERNO GT on road...i will go with them this weekend with my INFERNO GT on road. that has a 2nd gear.. not the Buggy newb!!!!
@marcelj1221 get the inferno you have more option caus you can get a electric inferno or a nitro one me i would rather have electric caus the power is just there and more user friendly
Nitro cars in common are faster than petrol powered RC's. I don't really get why this HPI thing is winning, the tuning must be completely messed up on the infreno.
is it just me or did the inferno not run like its supposed to? i got a inferno mp 7.5 S3 and it run A LOT better than that car. owned a guy with a revo 3.3 =]
???... Nitro's run on nitromethane and methanol mixture, two strokes run on petrol and two stroke oil. Nothing to do with the compression cycle of the engine.
I've had nitros and there a pain in the ass, sound shocking and go now where fast, The sound make's you think they go fast but up has this vid proves stock for stock the baja and petrol power wins hands down. END OF You have both?? sure More like 2k for a 70cc engine, and 70mph?? bajas been clocked well over 100MPH stock 26cc does 40mph quote from you (The nitros, when geared, are much quicker off the line, so it should win) that says it all SHOULD WIN HA HA LOL

Very well video
increible aun teniendo muxisimo mas peso no le pasa jaja que bueno buen video Hpi... makinon

Yea, something's up with the Inferno not getting to high RPM's. It's running okay, but it sounds as if the carb isn't set up correctly.
This is a good Video
do u recommend buying an inferno or hpi mt2 g3.0 im a beginer and dont know what i should buy
oddly enough i was in a car park too although i had the stock dirt tires and they had tarmac tires. the standard brakes are terrible. try slowing it down and barely anything happens. try doing a 180 with full brakes on and if you are going slow enough on tarmac it will turn a bit and then the g forces will react to the very soft suspension and the tires will still grip so it flips over. i have way less plastic rollcage as of then. i flipped it and it carried on for at least 100 ft on its roof.

guess im the only one that thought it was obvious the hpi was faster but the guy couldnt turn it around in time.

I thought Baja 5 would never win the race, because its heavy... I was wrong. THats owesome.
Y'all have fun going straight on a smooth plane...
@marcelj1221 but they both can be pretty expencive depending on what you want but electric will still be cheaper like all you need is battery charger and i would reccomend lipos and a good tekin brushless motor if your a beginer go with a 13.5 or what ever you are comfortable with
baja needs tarmac busters for traction and adjusting on the endpoints to be less sensitive
Looks like fun. If you really wanna rip, put a tuned pipe on that 5b, and upgrade to a 26 or 27cc engine.
IMO the 1/8 will win everything but the longest run time per tank challenge and maybe tall grass and larger stoned areas. the 1/8 4WD is a plus, plus less weight, lower center of gravity and the nitro can run at a higher rpm. is the inferno good for competing ? the mp7,5 sport
Great Race !!!
One thing about the baja, is it has really sloppy steering, especially at higher speeds. thats why the enferno is so much more controlable. Also everyone knows you gotta mod a gas baja to get it to rock.
have you driven over a nitro lately ?
very nice race!!!!!
cool vid hehe at the end 2:10
Whats the top speed of the Baja?
cool story bro
I love the 5b, its soo cool, but how fast does it go
where do u buy that hpi?
im thinking that nitro buggy is a single gear and that baja is a two speed no?
need to tune the inferno :) and baja sounds great
obviously 1/10 is easier to control in corners than 1/5 scale but baja is the best.....
most of them are, but there are 4 stroke ones too
judging by the sentra with the coffee can muffler, these guys know fast cars and how to tune them, LOL, this is why brushless and lipos rip, gas and nitros drip.Soooo sloooww
nice race, I thought the inferno had better top end.
Large scale gas is the way to go.
Ya gotta love running for 45 mnutes on a tank.
hahaha this was the first time I've seen someone capable to tilt the baja
not really, you can get 4 stroke nitro engines. Alot of planes use them. Just like a petrol engine can be a 4 or 2stroke
I think the kyosho is not on the pipe. It wants better tuning.
the hpi baja is faster,, but the driver is too bad. but nice baja.
nitro car rules!
el hpi que motor tiene un 4,5?
But the Inferno driver didn't give it hull throttle. You can clearly see that's not even 60 Km/h. And a inferno can do around 70-80 Km/h
Do the test again, with a tuned nitro engine. Nitro will piss all over two stroke, any day. Harder to tune than your strimmer with wheels, but worth it.
hpi baja 5b win
Same could be said about the baja that 23cc should scream.
The inferno doesnt sound to be reving to high. Doesnt sound like a race engine to me. Dump a Nova in it, all over for Baja. Run a bigger clutch bell, the 1/8th buggy will smoke em off the line and top out at a higher speed.
Spider-Man
wow didnt think the Baja could hold a 1:8 NITRO buggy in a drag...
how much will you sell the HPI BAJA 5B for please sell
e-revo woth monster moto upgrrade and 2 11.1 volt 15000 ml batters 90+
The inferno needs tuning because it's not even going straight.
HPI wins the drag race.
Thats not an Inferno GT, its an Inferno buggy, which is a whole different beast as far as acceleration and top speed are concerned.
they are not that slow but from TRAXXAS MY BL EREVO WILL LEAVE THEM ON THE LINE NICE CAR BY THE WAY
that a steal not cheap..... showcks cost more than that
@bokol67 The HPI is simply the hammer with 23 cc only
with 30 cc are there to keep up Sogut as no more models can
looser
That seems to me an Inferno buggy, not Inferno GT. The GT is a two-speed street/rally car..
Baja's are the shit! It would go faster with a pipe.
It's not nitro.. it's a proper petrol car. 25 petrol to 1 two stroke oil
@marcelj1221 inferno they are fast and very duarable
Nitro is not that bad, people just don't understand the tuning.
the Baja keeps blocking the inferno ive noticed
That inferno is designed to run off road, not to take whole shots in a parking lot. Take it off road and watch that hpi get spanked. My 2.5r tmaxx has more top end then that inferno also, a little more tuning on the HSN.
For one, race them in there own class >.
And then you have power to weight ratio's, how heavy is a nitro motor?
wow the the hpi driver needs to do it right
SYNIC 08 INFERNO BUGGY, it never had 2nd gear.i think your talking about INFERNO GT on road...i will go with them this weekend with my INFERNO GT on road. that has a 2nd gear.. not the Buggy newb!!!!
@marcelj1221 get the inferno you have more option caus you can get a electric inferno or a nitro one me i would rather have electric caus the power is just there and more user friendly
let me race the KYOSHO INFERNO GT BUGGY for pinks or just a normal race
so cute at 58 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Nitro cars in common are faster than petrol powered RC's. I don't really get why this HPI thing is winning, the tuning must be completely messed up on the infreno.
It's not nitro..
It's petrol..
the small KYOSHO INFERNO GT BUGGY had won cuz itcan turn much quicker
lol
thats just not possible someone tamperd with that inferno to make it slower
Checkout that Nissan with the fart can muffler.
sorry but that little car would get shit on at the dunes since the hpi is more of a off-road car
baja driver keeps bliping like a nitro driver specialy near the end of the race. ??
the savage xl will kill it
@BeybladeChamp12 but he can control it in a staight line he just cant turn
Dennis you're bad. A bit more practice is all it takes, good luck and have fun.
i had a inferno and i was beating b4s with brushless and lipos
"shit as fuck" lol...whatever the hell that means
If you listen to the audio you hear him say something about the batteries.
No dude, I think the baja driver is a noob, or maybe is just the car sliding on the pavement.
is it just me or did the inferno not run like its supposed to? i got a inferno mp 7.5 S3 and it run A LOT better than that car. owned a guy with a revo 3.3 =]
Mini E-revo lefikázná mindkettőt...lol
???... Nitro's run on nitromethane and methanol mixture, two strokes run on petrol and two stroke oil. Nothing to do with the compression cycle of the engine.
I thinkg it's 3, 2, 1, GO... Not 1,2,3 :P
yo whats your transmission on ur 5b looks like ur car pull off slow n u make a kyosno bet u how sad...... my baja 5b ss pull off faster than urs
if tune right baja can get up to speed faster then that , hell you buy them doing 70mph out of the box an mine does 85=90 ,
That Baja driver can't drive! Just keep it straight it's not hard!!!
hpi is faster.. thats sure.. :D
Built a real engine in the Kyosho (not that kit thing) and the Baja has no Chance - that Starter Engine in the Kyosho runs really bad in the video
way to go he cut him off!! haha thats the way
@ Baja driver your radio isnt really good!
@michiamo123
non fa schifo..basta mettere il volano da 34mm..
nitros r two stroke
LOL in true baja style run the smaller car off the road
I've had nitros and there a pain in the ass, sound shocking and go now where fast, The sound make's you think they go fast but up has this vid proves stock for stock the baja and petrol power wins hands down. END OF
You have both?? sure
More like 2k for a 70cc engine,and 70mph?? bajas been clocked well over 100MPH stock 26cc does 40mph
quote from you
(The nitros, when geared, are much quicker off the line, so it should win) that says it all SHOULD WIN HA HA LOL
The baja driver is letting the car down if I was driving it I'd of killed the nitros car with the baja.
My thunder tiger eb4 s2 will piss all over these cars any day :D
