Kishore Kumar made fun of S D Burman's singing style I SD Burman Bangla Hindi Remake Songs
Sachin Dev Burman (1 October 1906 - 31 October 1975) was an Indian music director and singer. A member of the Tripura royal family, he started his career with Bengali films in 1937. He later began composing for Hindi movies and became one of the most successful and influential Indian film music composers. Burman composed the soundtracks for over 100 movies, including Bengali films and Hindi. Apart from being a versatile composer, he also sang songs in the light semi-classical and folk style of Bengal. His son, R. D. Burman, was also a celebrated music composer for Bollywood films.
Burman's compositions were sung by the leading singers of the era, including Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammed Rafi, Geeta Dutt, Manna Dey, Hemant Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Shamshad Begum, Mukesh and Talat Mahmood. As a playback singer, Burman sang 14 Hindi and 13 Bengali film songs.

I do not agree with your use of the words " made fun of". Kishore was an admirer of SD who was responsible for recognizing his talent very well and encouraging him. We can only say Kishore mimicked Sachinda's style.🎉

I have those lp record in my collection and their hindi version in cassettes, s d burman used own bengali songs into hindi, later r d burman used his father's songs in hindi movie, it made me interested to collect old lp records of sd burman, I thank you for the topic

Good presentation. Although it is not correct that Dev Anand introduced poet Niraj in "Prem Pujari," Niraj Ji was already a well-known poet whose poem, "Karvan Guzar Gaya, Ghubaar Dekhtey Rahe," was used in "Nai Umar Ki Nai Fasal" in 1966 under Roshan's music direction. As a matter of fact, he was used as a song writer in 1964 in "Cha Cha Cha" under Iqbal Quraishi's music direction. Both of these movies were produced way before "Prem Pujari" (1970). By that time, he was already an established songwriter, writing songs of films like "Mera Naam Joker", among others.

Yes Neeraj ji was a well known poet before Devanand introduced him but not a well established Geetkaar/lyricist
Karwa guzar gaya was a poetry/Nasm written by him but not for the movie, it was used in a movie, and cha cha was used in a super flop movie, so he was not famous as a lyricist till Devanand used him as a lyricist in Prem Pujari
Mera Naam Jokar released in December 1970 and Prem Pujari released in January 1970

Kishore Kumar has admitted that he used to mimic Sachin Da and sing his songs in addition to Saigal's during his college days. In his tributes to Dada Burman Kishore has said when he was taken by Ashok Kumar to meet SD, Dada asked him to sing a song and he sang a song of Dada only and SD said " Tum to hamara nakal karta hai!"

Thanks for your very well researched work. I think you may 0:00 have missed out few more songs which have dual versions. Right now " Ami chinu eka" is coming to my mind. There may be few more. Further I would like to point that name of Talat Mehmood & Surayia are missing from the
list of singers, who gave big hits for SDB. I hope you will include there names too.
There are very good no. of SDB originals,tunes of which were later adapdet by RDB. I would request you to make a video on these songs also.
