No, i struggle with 1st phase more than 2nd. Take me 2 times on 2nd phase to defeat him thou, when 1st phase take me 40-50 tries
@@anhucpham1099lol same tho but i dont struggle with him anymore in either phase but phase 1 DEFINITELY harder
The Bloodborne DLC sees you fight against
- The greatest Beasts
- The greatest Hunter
- The greatest Kin
At the end of it all, the best game for a hunter is a damn good Beast to hunt!
Missed a couple kidboy the last time I checked there were 5 bosses in the dlc
@@ramrodbldm9876 Meant it more generally. If we want to be technical, we fought the greatest success and greatest failures of each category.
Ludwig and Lorence
Orphan and the Living Failures
Maria and Brador
(Maria and Brador are sort of technical on where either falls on the list, but you could argue that Maria decided to make right her mistakes by taking care of the tortured and ill until she coudn't takeit anymore, while Braodr is pretty chill about killing anyone who goes where he doesn't like and just... chilling)
@@ramrodbldm9876He accounted for Maria(Greatest Hunter), Ludwig(Greatest Beast), Laurence(Greatest Beast), Kos(Greatest Kin) and The Living Failures which are also kin, but I personally don't enjoy them for multiple reasons.
'Greatest hunter' (Gherman disliked that)
@@ColonelKebabShop Ya well "the best" dont get fired from their jobs for shoddy results, do they grand-dad? :P
Bruh the soundtrack sings the lore. 11/10
I’ve been trying to get on my hands the lyrics of the theme, I am aware that they sing in Latin. Thought that’s all I know.
@@erik6276 oh dude theres a video on youtube that has the latin > english sorry i don't have a link I'm sure you could find it! :)
Ludwig's theme alone (especially second phase) makes him the best boss in the dlc
Still blast that shit on the weekly. Immediate classic.
Aah, you were at my side, all along.
My true mentor...
My guiding moonlight...
@@soulpolska2046*weird horse noise*
everyone must have forgotten about living failures theme.
Orphan of kos>>>
You don’t fight Ludwig, you dance.
Who did Jatstream Sam say? "Let's dance!"
@@w12266Also Dimitri from "Sly 2: Band of Thieves"
*Dancer of Boreal* : “Am I a joke to you?”
He kicked and stream rolled me through the entire arena on first phase. I just couldn't get into rhythm. Then on second phase he hardly landed any hit on me. I just spanked his ass the first time I got to second phase which was in 6/7 tries. I beat him Laurence ane living failures all of them just yesterday. Now stuck at Lady Maria got her down to 80% but now have to try tomorrow.
Using the most beloved and well constructed weapo on the game and from software history is a huge flex from Ludwig
Ludwig is like a raid boss. I prefer fighting him solo but fighting him with people makes me relive the mmo days
No bro if you want play with peaple he will destroy you because he get more hp and he will be deadlier and more tanky and i you lose your teammates you should fight alone with a tank ludwig!!
On my first playthrough, I did actually have to summon co-op help just to get through him (one of two bosses I summoned another player for on first playthrough). On my NG+1 playthrough, yesterday I just summoned Valtr and the two of us turned the poor old bastard into glue on my 3rd attempt.
@@TwighlightLugia try this. Solo first phase with heavy weapon( you need keep stuning him and break his legs its safer) then Second phase with saw or a light weapon. This boss destroyed my sanity first time but after afew rounds you will be able to fight back. I just love this game so much
@@TwighlightLugiathat's exactly what I did. First time the NPC summon was able to get through the fog I beat him easily. The bloody NPC kept dying to those hulking octupus head giants outside.
@@Carrionationif it makes feel better I help people by fighting their Ludwig solo. It's some of the most fun in gaming
I remember hearing his second phase theme for the first time. Absolutely breathtaking
Father gascoigne is so underrated
Nah he’s a little overrated imo
Properly rated, most fans and UA-camrs think he’s pretty good if not great, he’s just not up there with the big boys in the slightest.
Imo lady Maria was the best boss they just didn’t make her hard enough.
the best boss "to you" and you're the minority in that category
@@ramrodbldm9876 chill bro
@@ramrodbldm9876 yes to me 😂😂 my first words are in my opinion are they not??
@plaguedmomma5023have you tried using parry? Lmao.
She is hard enough in ng+7
She literally one shots on third phase
(Hit+blood+flame)
Ludwig isn't bad, it's just he's too good for you
On the topic of the ost if you notice about halfway through the song it turns from a classical piece to a waltz which are traditionally used in dances because youre literally giving ludwig his last dance
The shift from beast to the last embers of Ludwig's humanity is reflected upon the ost, which is why it changes at the half point.
Orphan of Kos
Hell nah. You just need parry her
For anyone new to fighting him, the only tip I have is for the first phase. To avoid getting dropped on run away from the blood dripping from the ceiling, that's the only tell you get for that attack
He also screams when he drops down so you can time when you need to roll away
After the second drip wait a second then roll backwards. He misses and you get to unload an entire stamina bar of attacks on his horsey ass.
Just run, he always drop at a meter from u, and u can easily attack him after his drop
Bro really said 'loodwig'
Uh...
Wat
That is how you pronounce it
There’s a v in Ludwig. You just have to find it
@@LeonColvet nah, in Germany it’s pronounced more like “ludvig”, not “loodwig”. Like the u sound in pudding
Ah yes the mighty fromsoft holy sword and its powerful projectiles...
The triple fang.
I cannot think of a bad boss to be honest. I loved fighting all of them, even if it wasn't easy
Speakin like a true hoonter!
Micolash? I’m not too keen on BSB either although it’s super early on so it’s not like extremely hard or anything
God skin duo
Witches of hemwick?
Living failures
Just finished Bloodborne for the first time, and Ludwig is definitely my favorite fight in the game. God-tier boss fight.
I actually have a love hate relationship with Ludwig because on my firt playthrough i died so many times I LOST MY SANITY
Same, I mostly hate his first phase but his second phase is amazing
I did it yesterday at my 3rd attempt for the first time Im playing this game, its coll but why people say its hard? After playing elden ring and ds3 bloodborne is a joke, so less punishing, the heal mechanic is broken, once I got ludwig blade I felt like my run was over, only one I struggled with was ebrietas, all the other bosses took me 1 to 4 attempts, I still have ti finish it tho, I have to fight laurence, kos and final boss, I hope they get harder because for now this game is a joke, late game bosses are akwardly easy, I couldnt believe I did mergo’s hoe on second attempt, idk why people overrate this game so much, they must be very bad at it to consider it hard lmao
@@dominiclewis6522cool story
@@dominiclewis6522ye it’s definitely not as hard as ds3 imo. Orphan or Cos is by far the hardest part of bloodborne I don’t really remember struggling on any of the other bosses tho. I’d say bloodborne is still the best souls games tho. Best vibe. Best weapons (trick weapons are insane). Most enjoyable parries.
@@SavageGameHawkLawrence nearly made me break my console
to this point, my fav boss is orphan of KOS because he just wrecks your shit mercilessly. hell, the first thing imma do once BB is on PC i'm gonna see for a mod that raises enemy aggression, i want to pummeled by it mercilessly for hours if not days until I finally beat the boss.
I feel ya orphan is the hardest boss in bloodborne and for that reason he’s the best imo. Idk why people struggle with Laurence tbh first time I fought him I killed him on my second try lol. Second time around I one shotted him.. very cool fight and soundtrack but he is not that tough.
Orphan best boss
I would say best boss design. 'Have mercy upon us'
"You don't like what I like? You must be delusional"
Ludwig was definitely cool and I admit his soundtrack is exhilarating
But for me my favorite boss fight and soundtrack has to go to gehrman.
When I read the title I thought it had something to do with Ludwig the streamer💀💀💀
orphan of kos best boss fight in my opinion especially since it was fun fight too
Lady Maria is my favorite.
I saw orphan and I remembered my nightmare
I killed him twice On ng+2 and+3 on my fourth try
@@phagesc6850 i beated him 12 times, but the first was a hell.
I play souls from 10 years.
Don't forget his song tells Ludwig whole story
Ludwig is the best boss music in all of Soulsborne for me. However,I think Orphan of Kos is the best fight.
The score for Ludwigs boss fight alone grants him a top spot
I vibe to Ludwig’s theme whenever i need to relax and calm down, its just too damn good
He's awesome but Lady Maria is my personal favorite. She's just so fucking cool.
But Ludwig is way better imo. The lore, the custscene, just impeccable
Not as cool as Ludwig
@@wildman7220 agreed
Maria is my favourite aswell, I just prefer hunter bosses
She's the coolest character and also mommy
Best music in BB is the first hunter Gernham
Orphan was the best 🧡🧡🧡 to me at least such a nice animated fight. His move sets were so good.
hate his guts, but he puts the best fight for an "hunter like" boss.
To me its like taking Gasgone and making him a god. Then you got The orphan of Kos.
Think about it, the fist phase is him hitting you with his "weapon" and shooting really damaging explosives, then the second and last phase he becomes more aggresive and starts to jump a lot more like Gasgone beast phase.
Ah you were by my side all along my guiding moonlight
Personal favorite is Maria, she’s one of my favorite bosses from the souls games altogether but Ludwig was a very good boss fight too. Super hard but enjoyable
Nah Laurence the first Vicar has the best soundtrack in the game his theme is a masterpiece
and his ass is a annoying bih he took me the most tries bc of his stupid aoe attacks in the second phase 1st time ludwig took me around 50-60 tries but laurence took me like 110-120 tries (and i did him after orphan) over 3 days
It’s good but not better than Ludwig’s. And the fight itself is not nearly as good as Ludwig.
That St when fighting Cleric and Vicar is still soul-capaturing for me to this day🤷🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've only fought up to blood starved beast but so far my favorite has been father Gascoigne I just like how he thinks like you so you have to adjust
The OST change along with the name change is peak fromsoftware and they haven't come close since
In bloodborne sure, in the series, inner father
Ludwig is the best fight in the game both for mechanics and music. Ludwig’s music absolutely fucking slaps.
Ludwig, Maria and Gehrman were the standouts for me.
Ludwig: Sorry hunter, there's angelic choirs in my theme. That means I'm the good guy
Ludwig is the best not only is he terrifying but the fight is like a beautiful dance
I feel like people give Ludwig a bit too much credit
My first few encounters i couldnt even get to phase 2, but when i did and heard the music change as the cutscene ended it brought tears to my eyes. The fight is amazing and if felt so absolutely rewarding when i finally beat him after 4 tries. This is my favorite game ever made. I wish theyd make a sequel
Orphan and lady maria >

the soundtrack for this fight was absolutely amazing, a delight to the ears
the only boss that has a scene when they change phase
I fought him for the first time today with a friend. We both agreed immediately after beating it on our first try that it was the best fight in the game. 10/10
Dude over here spittin straight FACTS
Even after the Elden Ring DLC, Ludwig is still my all time favorite boss fight from any Soulsborne games. It's just perfect 👌
Ludwig might be the only boss who I enjoy more fighting than beating, I die for the pleasure of dancing with the greatest beast
He definitely has the best ost and phase transition cutscene in the game.
have you heard laurence the first vicar theme
“In each game of the soul series” to “best fight in blood borne” lol
The build at Artoria's level, the fight being probably one of the hardest and that will force you to learn and improve and probably the best soundtrack that Fromsoftware has ever created.
Oh venator...
Ah yes Bloodborne the game where you fight a demon horse, whatever a woman is and a militarised fetus
Anyone who doesn’t like Ludwig is probably drunk from blood right now
Hot take: To me I think orphan of Kos is the best, you can ask me why because I’m too lazy to put the reasons right now.
I love the dark moon greatsword from elden ring but I do hope the dlc has the regular moonlight one
Ludwigs theme is top tier 🥲
I’ve never had a boss in the souls series that I’ve wanted to do again
“LOodwig”
For me it has to be orphan, just the speed being constantly ok the back foot and pulling off the win makes it so much fun.
Fun Fact: Ludwig has the most attacks out of any boss in any FromSoftware game, totalling at 23 different attacks
Bloodborne has my favorite boss design out of any game
Laurence boss music: hold my beer
Not even close
The moment I saw the moonlight greatsword, I popped off so hard.
same
Ludwig's ost is my favorite
I recently played bb after 5 yeays, somehow ludwig is just as hype as it was the first time i played him. That is so rare it's incredible
Maria of the Astral Clocktower would like to have a conversation with you.
Get yourself a baseball cap because you're cappin right now
@@natharoonytoony6632 I don't know how you think Maria isn't the best boss in the game. The fight is perfect, the way it tells her entire story of her transition from a vileblood to a hunter and then back to a vileblood just to stop you. It's better than Ludwig by far.
@@piratequeenucyra6690 one word; framerate. Her fight would rival Ludwig and Orphan if the framerate wasn't dogshit. She has a lot of of attacks that require pinpoint dodging that the framerate doesn't allow so that's why it's not the best nor even close for me
@@natharoonytoony6632 Yeah I never had frame rate so bad that it ruins the fight for me. Generally the frame rate only gets bad when she's shifting to her Blood Magic. The actual battle dance is fine. I'll be honest this is the first time I ever heard someone say they had an issue with frame rate with her fight.
@@piratequeenucyra6690 it's also an overall problem with bloodborne itself. Mind you, I don't have a PS5 nor do I have the money and care to get one despite how much it helps the performance. But it's absolutely atrocious that this masterpiece hasn't had any love put into it since the DLC, it deserved better than being relegated to Playstation exclusivity
Yeah. Very challenging especially that 2nd phase.
My personal fave thou was Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower
I get those goosebumps everytime
He didn't want to die as a beast, but as a hunter
Kid named Lady Maria:
His OST is absolutely amazing
I think hes the best because hes the best designed. No one needs to talk about the failures. But laurence can be cheesed with the saw and bolt paper. Not even pellets. Maria can be parried with every attack(not that i do that, more fun to beat her straight) and the orphan is kinda cheap because he can cancel his animations(love him as a boss but just saying) Ludwig is the only boss you have to truly beat fair and square. You have to learn his moves and they're cinematic and terrifying all while being pretty balanced. And ofc his second phase is icing on the cake. 11/10
Ludwig is probably one of the best bosses in gaming in general. Great music, great challenge if you're not familiar with his moveset or over leveled, great lore, great reward, great design. He checks every box for a boss battle.
I'm a Gherman fan honestly
i completly agree with you, as much as i hate ludwig for being (for me) the hardest boss in the game, the phase 2 always made feel i was slaying a god lmao
He’s probably the second hardest for me because I’ve played the main game waaay more than the dlc so I’m not too used to him, but orphan is hardest imo
Ngl martyr logarius was my favorite boss in bloodborne
He was one of my least favorites he just spams the same 3-4 attacks but I love his design
his bossarena is one of the best and his design is fire too hes not hard but fighting him on top of a snowy castle is just dope
Is this where Ludwig got his name lmfao?😂😂
I beated him and lady Maria today and those two are sooo great
For those who don't get it. HE'S THE AUILDUIN FROM SKYRIM OF THIS GAME
So he's a dissapointment?
@@PastramiBullGoat no,well yes he's the villain. But also the bane of destruction and murderer of countless numbers
For me my favorite bloodborne boss is Ludwig or Maria. Ludwig's soundtrack is soo awesome and the transformation of giant horse person thing to giant horse person thing with a big glowing sword. Maria was really fun to fight as it felt like a proper duel.
Nagakiba carried my ass through my first play through glad to see this mod give it some real good love.
I love how the best way to defeat him is by hitting him near his testicles.
Ludwig was such a amazing boss fight
Ain't no way bro said lewdwig

The orphan is, in my opinion, the hardest boss from any game from this franchise as well
Currently waiting for my lies of p preorder. But so safe to say bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time. These shorts really helped me map out which souls games I enjoy compared to different aspects to why, so THANK YOU
Ludick rider the holy sucker
As someone who couldn't buy and try the DLC yet, I have to say that Gehrman is by far the boss I enjoyed the most (didn't make all the bosses tho, thought they were not optional and here I am done with Bloodborne without beating Amygdala or Living Failures)
Get back to it, son! Spange if you must! GET THAT DLC!! Best part of the best game. Don't mug ya'self
Living failures is from the dlc
@@Gungle940 i meant the Celestial Emmisaries, my bad

Ludwig is the best boss in the souls series without question. The battle the lore the ost everything about it character just oozes out of him the fact that he is beast first phase and reconnects with his humanity second phase. No doubt best boss ever.
Ludwig and Gael without question.
