      I would really love to know is this dethrones the Arete as your daily driver. It seems you enjoy the sound a lot.

    • @FreshReviewsYT
      @FreshReviewsYT  2 місяці тому +2

      @@jesh879 so I switch between the two. The Arete has a clean analytical sound the remains fun with a punch to the bass that doesn’t make it sound sterile. The tea pro comes off warmer with a different sounding environment in general in game. They are two IEMs that are different enough that they can compliment each other for different listening experiences. Both are at a great level for gaming though, it should boil down to your tuning preferences.

      I have your Arete collab set; they sound clean and crisp, with great low end, and I definitely enjoy using them for my non-competitive gaming because they still work very well to help me hear PvE enemies around me in detail. Giving me more spacial awareness.
      I've ordered the Xenns Tea Pro, but they haven't arrived yet. I'm curious if you have any input on how the Tea Pros would perform when plugged into an Xbox controller. I'd like to use them as an alternative to the Arete for gaming, but I'm concerned about their impedance and resistance values. Do you think the Xbox controller would be able to power them sufficiently, or would I be sacrificing too much performance and should just stick to the Arete? Thanks for your awesome videos, and I'm looking forward to what else you have in store!

    I know Hunt Showdown isn't as popular as Warzone, but you're really missing out as an audiophile if you aren't playing it. Nothing even comes close when it comes to sound detail and I think it's probably the best game for testing audio gear too as it has such an incredible audio engine

      @@Kilokaai2 same here. I got my first non-budget level IEM last year (Canon II) after the glowing review Fresh gave it, but I don't think any of the gaming audio channels specifically play hunt so it's all guesswork. Luckily it's also great in hunt, but i don't really feel like taking that gamble again when I inevitably upgrade

      I disagree, although I feel the engine is good and the sound is great, it is an open world atmospheric game and although I feel it is an enjoyable experience in terms of sound, it doesn't need the level of separation or layering or depth that other games with potentially worse sound design need in order to be able to pin point enemies around the map.

      sound is ass in the new update tho... the audio verticality has never been great but it's extra bad now and enemy footsteps so much harder to hear in the distance. people constantly sounding closer than they are compared to pre-update. might have to do with all the vertical terrain and so much more object clutter occluding sounds, not sure, but not a fan of the audio tweaks so far.

    Good for you fresh. Im really happy for you, having this great channel and skills for recognising best audio gear for gaming.
    It was good journey for me from moondrop lan, crinacle blue, red, intuaura splendor 2, and last but not least Arete.
    My time passing on gaming as im approaching 40 years and even with Arete and topping dx3 pro plus can't achieve audio to be able having gun shoot not blasting my ears and hearing footsteps. I will never try eq splendor and Arete as i think this would be crime. Just can't hear footsteps with low volume of gun shoots. To many years on construction site.
    Thank you for everything 😢

      @lilnapkin462 Місяць тому

      I can't really tell what you mean, but are you saying that you have hearing loss from construction work? Hearing loss is mostly in the upper registers and you can compensate for that. Get an IEM that has more pronounced treble and you may find that works great for you. A lot of audio queues are in this area, so it's not a surprise that you have issues with the Arete. Without spending money, you can try Equalizer APO and just boost the treble area to see if that helps you in games. Like maybe 4khz+

I'm debating between the Truthear Crinacle Zero Blue OG and the SIMGOT EW200. I'm concerned that the Blue OG might cause fit issues, and comfort is important to me. Good IEM at the 'budget' end you may want to try that's missed a lot of people - Fiio JH5. Should be similar to EM6L/Supermix 4, if not better.
    Arrti T10 is supposedly very, very good too.
    Note - I also had an issue with my Arete you may want to bring up with Ziigaat - the glue holding the filter in place melts, the vent falls off and the glue blocks the audio tubes, effectively killing the IEM.
    As good as these reviews are, you are starting to consistently stay WELL above the price ranges of most gamers, especially competitive gamers who are often still in their mid-late teens. Some budget roundups every once in a while would be a good idea, though I can appreciate how much time properly reviewing IEMs in games can be.

    Hey Fresh! I've been watching (and loving) your videos for a few months now, off of a recommendation from SimplyMatthias, and i was wondering if you could help me to choose my next pair of IEMs. Based off of your simgot showdown video, I'm likely going to be choosing the Supermix 4, as my primary games are R6, and Escape from Tarkov. However, there are a few things i would love some clarification on first. I am currently using the Truthear Zero's (Blue), and while i love the audio on them, the nozzle is a bit wide for my ear and causes a bit of pain for me, and i just wanted to make sure i will not have that issue with the Supermix 4, as i have not been able to get an exact nozzle size for them online. The other big thing is that i will not just be using the IEMs for gaming, i will also be using them for general media consumption, especially with music, and i wanted your opinion on how the tune sounds for general media, not just gaming. I want to use these with PS5. I have a Qudelix 5k. So far this DAC works with 490 and other IEMs. Will it work with this one or any other that might better, works with PS5, Bluetooth connection, has EQ? The Qudelix gives me all that but always looking for better quality

      @@williambrown302 I don’t see why it wouldn’t if you can power your 490.
