1:58 The synth melody here sound better here, as an instrumental, than It does behind MJ's lead vocal, in my opinion. 4:54 Love this synth addition. Slightly reminiscent of the fade-out repeating key strokes at the end of Purple Rain.
Totally get what you mean about the repeating strokes on Purple Rain, they really have a similar vibe - definitely agreed on the instrumental front, too - sounds almost like a different song :)
Now that you think about it, the ending does have a Purple Rain sound to it!
