The macro photography and the way that you rotate the watch as you shoot different angles is seriously world-class. You're the absolute best channel on UA-cam for this type of content. Just outstanding, and I hope you're doing well in this crazy time.
I know I say this every time, but love how educational these videos are. I seriously can't think of a better source for watch knowledge - and the quality is always top-notch. Love love love!
I have a large watch collection and just adore my Panerai watches. You either get what Panerai watches are all about, or you don’t. My Pam 661 Carbotech gets worn than all my watches. The most legible dials in the industry. It’s just a cool watch that is tough as nails without showing any scratches. It gets more attention and asked about more than any of my Rolex models. The cool factor is off the charts and doesn’t look like it’s trying to show off. That’s rare in a watch. Like a LaFerrari on the wrist.
The narrator is the best in the business.... in the world galaxy.... give him a 20 dollar watch, by the time he’s finished, it will become a premium watch..
I used to think they were ridiculous, but after trying them on myself, I want one. I loved the Luminor and the Submersible. They seem pricey tho. I’m not a seasoned watched collector yet, as my Tudor is my biggest purchase lol. I’ll get there.
The size is deceptive, and unfortunately you see too many wrist shots on arms that make the watches look silly huge. But they make everything from 38mm on up, so as with everything we wear fit and proportion is key.
Any chance you can do a video on Chronoswiss? Ive had my Orea for a few years now and i personally think theyre one of the better, small watchmakers out there. Fit and finish is comprable to more expensive brands.
They even had radium face cream. And the,(in America) radium girls case is a famous worker's rights lawsuit filed against watch companies that hired these women to paint the dials and lost their jaws from licking the paint brushes, basically eating radium for years.
Nothing quite stirs my soul like seeing vids of Pam. Neat to know it's a parts bin special, such a great shape. I have enjoyed my Pam00048 for the past year and nothing comes close.
Italy actually does make their military look dapper. We would run into them on leave on Camp Lemonier and they were all wearing polos and navy combat pants with shiny boots for their uniforms lol.
Not just the navy. The Carabinieri uniforms were designed by Valentino and Armani and people in Italy have told me that the Vigili that give out parking fines etc have bags designed by Fendi.
I love my Panerai 005 with the 6497-2 movement which I feel closely resembles the Original Rolex movement used in the original watch. I feel it will be highly collectible.
I love your channel. I ask a simple question if you can summon the courage to answer. At one time luxury was synonymous with quality so the extra price made sense. Now the quality isn't extraordinary, most have components that are cheaply available and can be made a low cost. There's no speciality required to manufacture these parts as was once necessary. So the only reason to pay the price is the heritage and brand. This feels like a rip off because there's nothing, very little perhaps, intrinsic to the product. Wouldn't you agree?
This is why I go vintage all the time, I just feel the same like you. I'm in a midrange position financially - why should I spend bucks for a Tissot Visodate or a Junghans Max Bill if I can get vintage models of this type that look better (have smaller case size like I like it) for less than half the price?
Good watches. They tend to use modified valjoux 7750s which are a great movement. If somewhat common. But their finishing is very good. Especially the dials.
One thing about Panerai: you either love it or hate. There is no in between. I love it! I'm on my second Panerai and it's AWESOME! PAM 320 baby!!!! BTW: If you buy a luxury watch like you're supposed to at this level then you won't get a replica. Go to an AD or to the Panerai shop itself and buy one with these things known as BOX AND PAPERS! SMDH
As usual, thank YOU so much for the video! There I thought I knew all there was to know about OFFICINE PANERAI... I’m keeping my Pam 407 just for the wire lugs! Thanks again for the history lesson!
Love all the videos! Just one thing in this case: beta particles are not 'weaker' than gamma radiation. In fact they're far more ionising and dangerous. However they are less penetrating so don't pose as much of a threat in this use.
Hello, Watchfinder&co. I just found your channel and I'm impressed how good investigated and in depth your reviews are! Great job. Now at the end of the video you mentioned that one can make a request for a watch to be reviewed. I'm interested in buying a Fortis B-24 Chronograph official Cosmonaut, stainless Steel. Could you make a video about that watch, please? Greetings from Germany Frank Schroth
As much as I like the Panerai style I found myself disappointed with the reliability and customer service... it's a shame because the history behind the brand is endearing
Love Panerai watches l got the Pam 372 from Watchfinder and l love it also own a Rolex Submariner l like them both in different reasons Panerai is a must have in any watch collection they are different big bold classy and vintage Antique looking watches.
Have you ever done a video on the "new" Cartier in-house movements ? Specifically in the watch of the Drive De Cartier GMT- REF.: WSNM0005 (Movement 1904 FU-MC) A video about the Cartier movements in general and that watch specifically would be most welcome and appreciated. Thank you for informative ,educational and entertaining videos.
Panerai has been making their own in-house movements for awhile now. Their new 9010 is outstanding and it’ will stand up against any other in-house movement for its snob appeal and robustness. I am a movement snob and I put the Panerai in-house p.9010 movement through it’s tests and it outperforms other in-house movements with a much stronger amplitude in any position. Power reserve from its dual barrel main spring tested to 80 hours! +1 second a day in most resting positions. Ceramic rotor bearings, etc.. The in-house p.9010 is a seriously good movement.
@@geraldgraham6074 you're very welcome my friend! Panerai nowadays is creating some "unusual" design, specially after the acquisition from the Richemont group (1997) and unfortunately sometimes they lookin' like a toy-watch. Trust me, behind the commercial choices of nowadays, there is a real beautifull story :)
To each his own I guess... I never liked how gaudy it looks, and yet walk with one in the shop and majority or them still wont take them in for service unless you have the purchase receipt, even after years the warranty has ended. There is a saying that there's only 2 ways you get a product forged, 1. Be too recognized/well-known, and 2. Be too simple and generic especially with parts. Mid-2000s Panerai feels the latter... And the older models are too expensive for what they are as a brand...
Servicing a Panerai with a Unitas movement can be done by any watch maker it is a very simple movement but an excellent one for durability and good accuracy.
Love all things Italian, but I struggle with Panerai. The cushion case is unusual on a diver. Love the sandwich dial, too. Just can't cope with that monstrosity of a crown guard. It lacks finesse and refinement and looks completely out of place on a watch, sorry.
Keep up your standard and stop buying from Nestle, Uber, Amazon, Tesco, GAP, Coca-Cola, Walmart, Ferrero, to name a few. They're all companies with scandals far worse than undecorated movement.
Panerai make cool, iconic watches, but they are so over priced in general. I'd jump on one only if they are selling for 50% to 60% of the MSRP, brand new.
Oh, you called that awful looking Patek the best sports watch of all time, makes me sad, cos I really agree with you 99 percent of the time. Oh, forgot, I don't share your Seiko Grand something entusiasm, I really don't get the 5000 USD Seiko thing
Such a huge case ! I love the style! The crown guard would be a hand stabbed on my small wrist!!!!;) thanks for a fantastic entertaining show!! This watch show making is not an easy thing to do!;)
The macro photography and the way that you rotate the watch as you shoot different angles is seriously world-class. You're the absolute best channel on UA-cam for this type of content. Just outstanding, and I hope you're doing well in this crazy time.
Being a Panerai owner I knew all of these, but you still make a story worth listening :) thank you for the video!
I know I say this every time, but love how educational these videos are. I seriously can't think of a better source for watch knowledge - and the quality is always top-notch. Love love love!
Always fascinating and unique information about horological instruments. Can’t wait for the documentary from Watchfinder!
Really love your videos and the way you can tell the story. I would love to see a video about the iconic Rolex “Buckley” dial and the story behind it!

Facts that many watch fans will know, but narrated in a way that’s great to hear again. Simply fantastic
Great video and as always in-depth stories. You sure make a tremendous research for each of those episodes ! Well done. We want more.
Can’t say I’m a Panerai fan, but these videos are just so cool.
The narrator is the best in the business.... in the world galaxy.... give him a 20 dollar watch, by the time he’s finished, it will become a premium watch..
All my assumptions about Panerai, bad ones, changed when I tried one on.
Thank you for this video. You guys taught me about the Panerai.
Panerai has just caught the attention of my heart... more Pam videos... please?
Love the videos and reviews... would you ever consider doing a "Seagull 1963" review?
Another great watch history lesson! Thanks so much Watchfinder! Made me appreciate my PAM111 even more =)
Great narration and excellent story telling. I appreciate my Panerai Luminor Marina even more now!
Great video as always, thanks
Even tho not a big fan of panerai but I really loved the history
I adore Panerai Luninor Marina in 40mm size case!!!
I have always loved the Luminor! I didn’t know it was 70 years old today!!! I should go sing my PAM392 a Happy Birthday HAHAHAH 😂
I keep finding myself falling in and out of love with Panerai... I've never owned one but cant pull the trigger
Me too. And now that I own a 372, I'm content.
Same here.
I now own two the Panerai Luminor GMT 3 day reserve and a submersible 47 mm BMG Tech and love them both always have liked the Panerai.
It's like I should be eating a cheese board with a fine wine while I watch these videos. Pure class.
I used to think they were ridiculous, but after trying them on myself, I want one. I loved the Luminor and the Submersible. They seem pricey tho. I’m not a seasoned watched collector yet, as my Tudor is my biggest purchase lol. I’ll get there.

@@PeteNice29 I bought a panerai 40mm shortly after I commented. Size is perfect for me and I’ve been happy with it overall.
I absolutely enjoy history of brands explained. This one amongst the rest. Absolutely hooked me.
Thank you.
Can you do watches in the 500 range
Another terrific video. I am not a fan of the brand, but the information was interesting.
Panerai is truly the Porsche of watched, great analogy!
Every time I listen and watch your videos I come away a little smarter. It would be a lot smarter if my memory were better! Excellent work. Thank you.
Love Panerai.
Beautiful watch, one of my favorite in my collection.
Can you do a review video about Christopher Ward's C60 Elite 1000 (black dail with metal bracelet)?
I'd love to have both of those in my collection.
It's a good day when Watchfinder releases a new video.
I love the channel, always so much to learn. Can I request a video on Longines’ Avigation series?
By far, the best watch channel on YT - always incredible videos!
Any chance you can do a video on Chronoswiss? Ive had my Orea for a few years now and i personally think theyre one of the better, small watchmakers out there. Fit and finish is comprable to more expensive brands.
Panerai's fall from grace over the past decade has been quite fascinating.
More like fall out of fashion but still very much in style. ;)
They even had radium face cream. And the,(in America) radium girls case is a famous worker's rights lawsuit filed against watch companies that hired these women to paint the dials and lost their jaws from licking the paint brushes, basically eating radium for years.
Can you Make a video on the Panerai Pam 372 and Pam 422 comparison please

Why? The short answer is modern watches are more accurate and reliable. I respect vintage and modern, just giving you the answer to your question.
Because once your income has secured your survival, you look for other things to make your life special (this is not just limited to possessions).
I own about 7 panerai i love panerai they are for me the most practical and beautiful watches in the market.
Great videos. Time and time... Again 😉
How about Graham watches? No video on those till now. Would love to see a video on the Graham Chronofighter Vintage series
Good watches. They tend to use modified valjoux 7750s which are a great movement. If somewhat common. But their finishing is very good. Especially the dials.
I generally don't like Panerai (too big) or regatta timers (too posh), but... I would not turn this one down as a gift.
Well let’s hope that happens for you then 👍
Please make a video about the H Moser & Cie Venturer Concept with VANTABLACK dial

Wonderful history, beautifully presented. Thank you
I never liked Panerai watches but I have new respect for them now.
Fascinating, as usual.
As always, best in depth review.
One thing I didn't know about the Panerai Luminor: It existed.
Love the history, but I’m not a big Panerai fan.
Any Panerai Regatta is the perfect summer watch.
Panaristi forever!

watching videos and looking at pictures of panerais knowing damn well theyll never look good on my tiny ass wrists.
I tried it but ... Sold😑😭
try luminor due or 42mm radiomir. They're quite dressy and not too big on a small wrist.

Only in military application would you add that crown guard to an Art Deco design.
Nice story of Panerai Luninor Luna Rossa. Actor Sylvester Stallone made that watch popular.

would you consider dedicating a video to Seiko ? (not Grand Seiko)
Surprise, surprise... a Rolex movement in a Panerai 😋 Thanks for enlightening us, once more!
Great content and so soothing 🤭
Marmite design? Personally, I only see beauty when I look at my 00005 & it makes me happy every time I put it on!

Work of an historien who does his home work well. Always interesting to listen and educative technically about watches.
Ahhh...
That vintage ruby-red
is unmistakable.

My favorite brand.
Is the Reference PAMPL003 correct? Google only finds this video for that reference.
Alot of this these luxury watches charge way to much money for only an Eta movement, 9k for a eta is bullshit
makes them much more affordable to service though, but I agree with your point
Panerai have used in house for years now.

What is the name of the music that you use in your video? Thanks.
What is the tune that plays in the background?
I tried to find it. It's impossible.
I read that it is hard to distinguish replica and real panerai's. Is this true?
I Love my Pam!
Panerai 70 years damn I need to know more.
To be honest the Luminor wasn't the very first model od Panerai. The very first one was the Radiomir, created with the help or Rolex :)
Simone Sphinx thankyou knowledge is always good to know I’m a newbie to Panerai thanks for the education.

Panerai were among the first to use recycled Titanium for their Titanium watch cases !
Such a steal

On that Militare....seems for a Navy watch it had a rather pronouced moisture penetration failure....all that corrosion :(
It's old; never seen a watch that old that didn't have corrosion.
What does that 'L' mean after 'Swiss Made??'
Sushim Shah - Luminous.
Great.
