8/10 I knew Lodi is known for Zinfandel but I certainly didn't know they were thought of more highly than those in Sonoma's Dry Creek Valley. I suppose my bias is to where I've spent more time. I think of Ridge, Turley, Mazocco, Seghesio when I consider zinfandel. Will look to branch out!

dry creek valley makes the best Zin, its pronounced Willamette = dammit, and Lodi = Low-die. All good!

@@TheGrapeExplorer When I visited the area I pronounced it incorrectly - Will-um-Et. The local that corrected me was quick to say "It's Will-Lam-it damn it." As it was a local, I did not argue and accepted this as the right way to say it. I have never forgotten the mnemonic device for remembering the correct pronunciation.
