The first 3-4 years of this band is just the best. Bordering experimental rock, the compositions of these early songs is just unmatched in my opinion. You can really tell how well it all holds up decades later, from a band of kids to veteran touring musicians. I feel like Die's almost unutilized, funk driven percussive riffs from the early days just pair so well against Kaoru's heavy rhythms... I miss that contrast. That was always Dir en grey for me. Thank you for the upload.
Well put. It was just that They bounced of each other similar to head and munky from Korn. Die doesn't get enough credit. Neither does toshiya, in my opinion the most skillfull bassist ever. I've copied these two so much as a teen, I still get mesmerized and inspired by them
