I vote for the Chandelier house w/pond. That house said Danni all over it. When I was looking to buy I left it in Gods hands and the home I got fell right into place. I know you'll have those coy fish eating out of your hand. Thank you for taking us on your journey of house hunting. May God bless you with the perfect house for your family and pets. She has birds that can be hurt by ceiling fans if they get out. She may have to have an electrician run some wire for ceiling lights since some of the fans and ceiling lights looked like they were plugged into wall sockets.

As someone who has bought and sold many homes, you don’t have to make all the changes at once ,
If it’s clean and in a safe neighbourhood, move in live with it until you can manage the renovations.
My husband and I have moved at least 23 times . If you concentrate on location then you know the reno value will be there.

Everyone has such different tastes. I laughed about “ it’s a ‘90’s” house. I went through a divorce and started over at 50. I LOVE the character of an older home. I bought a 1930’s cottage, that I love. Also love my ceiling fans. Sometimes even turn off the AC and just use them-and I live in Florida!

    Hi Danni
The ceiling fans in all those houses are definitely so old fashioned. In Australia ceiling fans have always been updated and modernized to keep in line with the latest trendy builds.
Good for moving the air in summer and also helping to
spread the heated air in winter.
Especially good for sleeping on a hot summer’s night instead of aircon. I highly recommend. 👍

You looked at some really beautiful homes. I am continuing to pray that you will have success in your endeavors. Ceiling fans may be so 90s but some really awesome fans are being sold now and they sure do help keep a room at a comfortable temperature. I bought my home 6 years ago. I did A LOT of online shopping prior to looking in person. This really narrowed down the prospects. There were 3 that I had very strong feelings of “this is it!” When I saw them in person, two just didn’t do it for me. The time crunch you are under will limit your availability with anyone still occupying the home. The choice of music during the critter feeding/update was really enjoyable. Thank you, always, for sharing your personal experiences with us.

I have to go with the chandelier house. It is in your budget and that is one of the most important deciding factors. IMO. You never want to start out with a concern about budget. Go with what you can afford and live with and it would leave you with more ways to update/change what you don't like The last house with the big master was nice but really it only had the one big bedroom and from what I saw the other bedrooms were super small. I know you want to have the kids have some say so but in the end you are the one paying the bills.

Plus this yr we took in a pregnant cat that was fighting off male cats & escaping from Fox. She had SIX!😮 So working with a rescue to get them adopted to good homes! PLUS a male older sickly cat that ended up in the back yard. So i know how much time & work it takes to care for so many! Go for the chandelier house knowing you can move into at your pace and at your budget (extremely important). Paying more and adding a lot of pressure do not make the move enjoyable. The kids will grow to love it. We use our ceiling fans every day! I laughed on your comment about removing these.

The chandelier house has so much up keep. You need a lot of time or have to hire people to do it. I like the smaller ready to move in house. Your kids will move out in a blink of an eye and the house will then feel bigger.❤

Tortoises always look so old, even if they are only a few years old. My Grandfather would pick 1 or 2 up every year while driving thru Oklahoma, they ended up in Arkansas near a creek & garden. ( not anywhere close to a highway ) I had one for a while, he looked like he'd seen a lot & had a hard time. He had been painted a few times & even had peoples initials carved on all over his shell. He looked a lot better when I let him go.

Thanks for sharing your journey with us. It is stressful. When we bought we looked at so many places. One day after looking at several, the realtor asked if we minded that she make a stop at one of her clients and invited us in. One step in, I said this is it! She was shocked. We wrote her a check right then for the deposit. Was the best decision ever. I know you will find your special place too.

I liked the room in the chandelier house and area for turtles and fruit trees. Pond was cool too. I know the kids liked the more modern house but that's a bigger budget. decisions
