    I have to say, you had a really good idea with how to adapt the Lee Case Feeder to the Dillon. I just finished setting mine up and I used the same Idea with a few different materials. Instead of steal I used CPVC and it works great. Took a bit of time to get the measurements just right, but worth it.

    Great video. Than you for posting this. Would love to see you make a similar mod to mount the Lee Bullet feeder, using a Mr.Bullet die.

    It just so happens, I have a case feeder from a Lee Loadmaster which I sold some years ago in order to buy the XL650. I think I will try your idea. Thanks for posting the video.

    I like using it on my Dillon 650 but now I want to get a bullet collator.. let us know when you get one.

    I did this on my 750 a couple weeks ago, have loaded 3K of 45ACP with it so far. New 45 brass feeds great, fired 45 takes some shaking of the top to get the cases to go down.

    Just ordered a Dillon 750 and opted for the case feeder but considered cancelling it from the order because of the price and elaborate setup with motor. I'm coming from using the loadmaster for years. Caught your comment about having an upside down case from the Lee setup on occasion. Have you ever heard of the penny screwed to the center of the collator over the holes? I never had an upside down case after doing that mod. Orientates the brass correctly every time works flawlessly. An odd mod to do, I know but definitely works!

      Yeah, I have tried all kind of restrictiors but they didn't seem to help much. It's really not much of a problem.

      I heard of it somewhere. But just drilled a hole in center of a penny and screw it in the center of the 4 holes. Covers the inside part of the hole of all 4.
      Worked perfect for me pretty amazing. I love the free or almost free mods of common sense from ideas.

    Genius, and you are correct the Dillon case feeder is noisy and you need plates for LG Pistol, Sm Pistol,Sm Rifle, LG Rifle. Nice video and I liked and subscribed.

    Hey 10shed, watched your video and built the case loader to spec, worked just as good as you said. Set back with a beer and looked at what I needed for my current app. on a Dillon 650 where I load anything from .380 - 45. Your original design, although great, morphed into a double header. What I did was take the 13. 750 tube and weld a plug with a bolt through the middle to the top. Made two of the 1/8" x 1" same dim to swivel on top and bought both large and small case feeders. This allows me to make quick changes between calibers, easy to change all the caliber specific parts on the press when you can loosen a bolt and swing the bracket out of the way. Also, I can remove the brackets to load cases that are sure to be in the proper orientation, (no more upside down cases). Thank you for your video, and hope to see more soon!

    at 6:21 you call it the base of the dillon case feeder, did you mean the base of the lee case feeder? My Lee CF just came in and i dont see that shiny aluminum bushing that i see attached to your case feed adapter at 6:21. what is that item called so i can contact my seller. thank you

    • @the10shed52

      You are right, I did call it the "Dillon case feeder".My bad. That part is from the Lee case feeder. I looked at photos on line and it looks like they have changed the way they make it. Apparently, the tube that the case feeds through no longer protrudes like it used to. That shouldn't be a problem though. You should be able to just center it over the Dillon adapter tube.

    I've got the Dillon feeder on my 650 and it's noisy like u said. But I run it off & on. Don't leave it run all time. And u get upside Down cases every now and then also. I don't own any lee items all Dillon. 550/ and 650 ...but good vid. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    The Dillon is only loud when it first fills the tube after that it's not bad. I was concerned about it being loud before I purchased mine but like I said after it fills the tube it's not loud at all.

    Had the lee loadmaster and wondered why dillon didn't incorporate something as simple into their setup? The loadmaster also used an inexpensive yet effective priming system as well.

    • @foxfetterworth8944
      @foxfetterworth8944 6 років тому

      Sure, Dillon could have fabricated a collator case feeder and mounting bracket exactly like Lee's, but then there'd be no reason for a customer to buy his overpriced automatic case feeder.

    To avoid the welding, I'm going to make an adapter like that using two pieces of 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC pipe and one 90-degree coupling. If it works, I'll post a video with the dimensions and put a link here.
    I might use a 3/4" to 1/2" reducing coupling and 1/2" pipe going to the case feeder.

    been at this for over a week trying different fittings to mate the base of the lee feed adapter where both small holes are to the dillon case feed adapter. No custom mount needed for this but i cant find anything to mate with the larger caliber hole of the adapter. im thinking of trying a step drill bit to open up some of the fitting as i dont know any other way to flare these plastic things.

    does the case tuba adapter you install this on come with the press???? Is it caliber specific???

    • @the10shed52
      @the10shed52  6 років тому

      No, is's made by Lee. You can pick it up on ebay or amazon for about $20. it's not caliber specific but I think there is a large size that you use for large caliber cases. I don't know at what caliber the large is required.

    Could the Lee casefeeder be adapted to a 550 as well?

    • @the10shed52
      @the10shed52  5 років тому

      Yes, it can be done, this guy did it. (ua-cam.com/video/-WXGhW0Ho9s/v-deo.html ) But you would have to build everything. With a 650, some sort of case feeder is always used, whether it's a simple tube or an electric case feeder. I just replaced the tube with a Lee feeder.
