Fun fact to those who don’t know: this movie was based on the original first final that was planned for My Hero Academia, Deku would transfer his power to Kacchan and forget about his dream. Now, the final was changed like 2 times, so it won’t be like this.
I’m glad this isn’t over because we still need more screen time with shoji.

This is, hands down, the BEST MHA movie out of the three movies, and I’ll fight all comers on that point! The fights, the emotional points, “Might + U”, all of it! I went to see the movie in theaters literally nine times before everything officially shut down for Covid, because I wanted to memorize the movie’s good parts (before they eventually released the DVD). I love this move SO MUCH!
I prefer the plot and storytelling in the 3rd movie way more but the ending fight in this one is the best.

Deku willing to give up on his dream because Bakugo will carry it on is so emotional. And the soft way Bakugo talks because he realizes how much this means to Izuku. Powerful
It truly was, until the end shat all over it. This was the movie that solidified for me that mha cant stick to a bold decision if their life depended on it

People seem to forget that invisible girl's ultimate move "Say Cheese!" is a giant flashbang. She can be plenty useful!
She wants to be a daylight hero but I honestly think she would make an amazing underground hero - imagine how much info she could get! And she could sneak in before a raid somewhere and use “say cheese” to completely destroy any possible first moves as the other heros pour in
Bakugo is the 1st hero that I would want to save me because he’s so stubborn when it comes to losing, he would give it his all

The final deku and bakugo fight is some of the best animation/music of the entire series

Without spoiling anything for upcoming seasons, Heroes Rising connects VERY directly to what’s coming. We also have definitely not seen the last of David and Melissa Shield from Two Heroes 👏
I really like this film out of all the three. They use everyone perfectly and no one is left out. Also Deku & Bakugo sharing the same quirk for that final battle is just the best!! I'm glad I watched this in theater
To answer your question: if she'd made him float, he'd have lost a lot of his ability to resist the other's attacks. Any time he tried to use a laser it'd likely propel him backwards, or using his shield wouldn't have been able to anchor him. Maybe even his spine-dragons would've lost a lot of their strength...
This is definitely my favorite mha movie, everyone proves that they're the future heroes, who would do everything just to save and win. Especially, Bakugo and Deku who are both stubborn to win. Deku who's willing to sacrifice everything, give his all, and his power to save people, even though it means losing ofa and his dreams, that it was genuinely okay for him to give it to bakugo. I love the song too when they were fighting nine in the end.
Nine's true quirk is the meteo control kind of thing and when he stole the dad's quirk he thought he could go all out but he realise after the quirk wasn't good enough
These movies are actually cannon and this was supposed to be the ending to MHA but Horikoshi had another ending in mind
so it's not canon then. the characters usually are but not the events themselves. it's confusing and I wish they just made canon movies to the anime series but they don't for some reason

@@godpro3189 the manga and anime aren't part of the same canon. Very similar but there's small details that aren't the same. Besides the gauntlet gets destroyed at the end of the movie so it's not canon to the anime or the manga in that case

2:15 All 3 movies are canon to the manga. Horikoshi stated that Two Heroes is canon, Nine is actually spotted in the manga in chapter 222, and Horikoshi wrote a brief tie in manga chapter for World Heroes Mission. (Correction, there are brief tie in chapters for all three movies. I only knew of the one for WHM)
ah, well i wouldn’t say that. the manga stands without the added stories in the movies. the show might make references to some characters or events from movies but they have zero weight on the narrative.

@@iinkstain Nine shows up in the manga (one panel) and the events of the League transporting him in the beginning of this movie is confirmed by Horikoshi to be the favor the doctor asks of Shigaraki in chapter 222 (which we never see). Along with that, *spoilers for anime onlys* from the 1st movie, Melissa's Full Gauntlet comes back in a lower powered form as Deku's Mid Gauntlets for his "vigilante" costume, so while there isn't a major impact, there is still very clear references to the movies. Canon doesn't mean effecting the overall plot, it just means that the events did happen in the world, which the manga does minorly show and the author has confirmed many times
The ending of this movie is literally like half an hour of nonstop action and there is definitely a shit ton going on the screen during the final fight
nine's original quirk is weather manipulation, he got other quirks with all for one
This video is not so old, so is worth saying this: YES, ALL OF THE 3 MOVIES ARE CANON IN THE STORY. The creator already said it and also showed on the manga.

After what was revealed in the manga (that hasn't been adapted by the anime yet), it makes sense why the former holders of One For All choose to revert the power back to Deku over Bakugo, and it isn't just because they see Deku as a true worthy person to hold it.
This was "I believe" one of the ending ideas so basically an alternate ending
You guys should have watched it after the next arc "Class A vs Class B" which ends midway afternext season...this movie would have made so much more sense
Technically this movie takes place in the middle of Season 5 episode 12. There's a time skip at the mid point of that episode. This movie takes place during the time skip. Cause the first 11 episodes of season 5 have small Easter eggs that are seem in this movie.
The thing with kids getting beaten the sh1t out and still alive is because of their respective quirks. Bakugo and deku can get stronger the more they train their quirk. If you shoot explosions out of your hands then you would be dead normally.

Understand that this movie was confusing at the end part. Many fans make up their own theory that Bakugou talked with the past holders of OFA and decided to give it back. That's how I like to think it happened

43:48, one of my favorite details during the big finale fight.
In the final strike against Nine, Bakugo is surrounded by these streaks of light representing every user of One for All, including Deku's color, while Deku is surrounded by roaring flames, the embers of strength that remained in him after transfering the quirk.

Y’all’s reactions are always great, but you skipping over Jiro, Ojiro, and Shoji keeping the kids safe & giving it their all - proving they’re good heroes. Hurts my soul lol
This movie takes place at the end of Season 5.
This movie is canon (nine has a cameo in the manga too) and the author horikoshi wrote and supervised this movie himself, infact the ending of this movie was how horikoshi originally meant to end the manga, but then he thought of another ending so they used this in the movie instead. Ofcourse the fight scenes are exaggerated because, well, it's a movie.
Tokoyami's Dark Shadow is very much like Bruce Banner's Hulk. Both have distinct personalities, and when overwhelmed by rage (or by rage *and* darkness, in the case of Tokoyami), those personalities fully take over and cannot be soothed unless their rampage is complete or by some sedative (light in the case of Dark Shadow, a support system in the case of Marvel's Hulk). Tokoyami doesn't *let* Dark Shadow's rampaging form out, it's typically an accident or some form of shock that lessens his control; and like Marvel's Hulk (in the early Avenger years), Dark Shadow attacks anyone and anything he perceives as a threat, even if they are a friend (case and point with Shoji and Deku at the training camp)

yeah the whole thing with the one for all stuff, the predecessors of one for all made it to where bakugou could possess the power for a period of time but not fully transfer it. thats the explanation of what happened after the creator changed his plan for the finale. hope that makes sense😅
There's other points to as why One for All will not transfer from Deku that is mentioned later on. However Deku was willing it to be so, which is a key part to transferring One for All. The idea of the previous users pulling off a miracle is amazing, and powerful metaphorically. The idea that Bakugo could and would be worthy of wielding One for All, but Deku is the true user. Also getting to see how quickly the quirk can transfer through blood is interesting. So much faster than when Deku had to digest it!
Seeing just class 1A is very important, as these truly are the heroes we are watching coming into their own. The island has had no major crime, and the kids are licensed. So they are more then acceptable to be doing the presumed level of hero work the island would have. They couldn't predict what has always been a quiet peaceful island to explode into a battlefield. The same could have happened to any presumably safe place the kids would do field work. Also they didn't think communications would be knocked out like that, assuming if something did happen they would contact the mainland.
Deku adopts that “savage” energy from bakugo when in battle and Bakugo wants to save others just as Deku does. Saw this in theatre when it came out and boy was it awesome! Now initially this was my favorite one but 3 has won its way to the top for me.

I also heard rumors online that the ending of this movie was originally going to be the end of the series overall but the author didn't think fans would like it because of the big Bakugo hatred in the community. So he scrapped it and it now in this movie. Is that real? idk. but its what I hear online.
broooo this movie is my favorite of all, through the most recent one (World Heroes' Mission) is defenetely on the list too. this gave you a little peak at Bakugou's real power, just imagine him having one for all for real? my man MELTED THE FUCKING ROCK to blast Nine to nonexistance! the animation on the last fight was insane, the way they did Deku running like a literal lightening was crazy! great reaction, i would defenetely recommend you to watch World Heroes' Mission, i can't wait for you guys reach season 6, shit is going down y'all! love ya!

My favorite movie between the 3! I love it because the duo Deku and Bakugou (even if I wasn't really convinced with the explanation with the transfer failed,...) and the whole class have their highlight moment (well, some less than others)

Heroes rising is my fave. All might is retired and although I really wanted him to come back but this movie shows that deku and bakugo duo can be a strong team if they work together. And also a kiss to the author's original ending of deku transferring OFA to bakugo.
You know you did a good job on the story, animation and the total concept when people just smile the entire way through the scenes. Besides dragon ball with Goku and Vegeta, An honorable mention to Gon and Killua from HxH, These two are my favorite (Bakugo and Deku)

Just what I can think of so far, the first movie has 2 connections in the manga and this one has 1 connection. My opinion is that they are somewhat significant to the story but subtle, so both movies should be considered anime-canon. They didn't happen on paper but they *could have* in between chapters as they were intentionally referenced. I can't wait until the anime catches up to where they reference them, some of them are REAL soon and I hope people know it when they see it. 💪⭐💥

The spin deku kick thing at the end is his version of howitzer impact. I have no idea how the terrible 3rd movie surpassed this movie. This is the best mha has been. If only the villains had been in the main story cuz i would like chimera and slice's back story.

movie 3 is really good if you only count the fights, they don’t make sense but it’s still cool because of the good animation. I think thats one of the reasons why people liked it. The spider blackwhip scenes were good. But they tried to make the plot really deep for the third one for no reason. but personally i didn’t really care for the whole ‘’deku is a criminal’’ thing. As a whole, the second one is way better. The ending for the third movie felt reslly rushed aswell.

Deku was only at 20 - 30% in that movie. And in the aftermath of the war of they said that he’s still able to use his arms because he was at 45%, which is basically half way to mastering one for all. It doesn’t make sense considering that he was using his arms like tousands of times on flectturn. And it doesn’t makse sense that he can just move his arms and even walk after the united states of wrld smash. It was really cool. But it makes no sense

The movies are 1000000000% cannon confirmed by horikoshi himself and certain CHARACTERS, ITEMS, and PLOT POINTS are referenced, influence and appear in the current manga arc going on right now week to week. Many people think they aren’t cannon and those people are going to have their heads explode come season 7 lol

Yeah this reasoning is really lame. I came up with a better theory they should have used. Ofa requires consent on both sides and at the last minute it would make sense for Bakugo to not want ofa, to reject it, therefore he isn't willing to have it and it can't be forced on him. I think he'd do this cuz of his pride. He wants to be no. 1 hero with his own quirk not by being gifted a powerful quirk. And maybe a very small percentage of him didn't want to take dekus quirk away from him-which feels hinted when he's overhearing dekus conversation with katsuma. His last minute rejection of the quirk feels more reasonable than All Mights excuse of Bakugo losing consciousness. With that logic Deku would have and should have been screwed out of the quirk when he passed out punching that zero points robot when he was doing the entrance exams for UA
Well one for all has a mind of its own or “8” minds of its own, the quirk literally transferred itself back to deku, the past users knew what deku was thinking…
@@Storm_CloudD4L Well, it was established that OFA can be forcefully given, but absolutely yeah, I'm on board with the Bakugo rejecting it idea.
(I just finished writing this and I'm so sorry it's long, but your theory got me thinking about how I'd go about it instead)
If *I* were to write a small scene in between Deku's goodbye to OFA and him waking up in All Might's arms, it would be for Bakugo to forcefully give Deku OFA back while Deku's unconscious, say something like "Don't give me this, idiot. You're going to make it your own and I'm going to fight you." (a callback to earlier in the movie) And have Bakugo pass out shortly after. Then Deku could have his little "I gave it to him" moment, not realizing he's still got OFA, All Might could have that hopeful explanation of "it was a miracle!" but also, he could have the more reasonable explanation of "he gave it back" and because he didn't use it for very long, there's no trace of him/his quirk within OFA like the other holders (because realistically, Bakugo only held and used OFA for several *minutes* before fully passing out, instead of holding it within him for a couple hours like Deku when he first accepted it). He could give both explanations, miracle/rejection, and say that "perhaps it was both." while looking at the two boys. (thus continuing the duality of Deku and Kacchan, one who earned his quirk through a miracle of chance, and the other who rejects any form of 'help' even if they are miracles). And, of course, the movie continues onward like normal, Bakugo remembering nothing while holding OFA, Deku, not knowing why he still has it, and on and on.

My thing with that theory is if Bakugo allowed himself to fully have it and pass it on I think his natural born quirk would transfer with it. Because that's what the quirk does, that's how Deku has multiple quirks, they transfer and grow with ofa hence the multiple connecting colorful lights when deku goes plus ultra
This movie is the greatest disappointment for me, it was so great and then the ending was so uncommitted to it and shat all over the climax with absolute disrespect.
