I've been watching all your NC State Parks videos and I agree, the Stone Mountain Loop trail is the best in the state! We've been to 38 of the state parks and Stone Mountain was one of the first ones we did, but nothing has beat that trail for me yet. Excellent video!
Nice! 38 down and 3 to go! Which three?
Yes, Stone Mountain Loop checks all the boxes for a trail for me!!
It appears I need to take a hike here. Thank you, this is beautiful.
You should! This is a great park and a great trail.
Beautiful
Just gorgeous.
Agree!
Thank you. Very helpful
You're welcome!
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Share it with your friends!
Fantastic
Thank you so much 😀 Share it with your friends!
Not to be confused with Stone Mountain, Georgia!
That's right. This is the less well known Stone Mountain. I've never been to the Georgia Stone Mountain.
@@JourneytoAllNationalParks I have not been to the North Carolina one!
Which I did until I saw your comment!
Are you allowed to slide down the falls?
I would not advise it, as fun as it may seem.....
Um, its about 200'....
What's the best close by hotels around? Thanks
We stayed at Hampton Inn Jonesville/Elkin and that we decent.
Camp in the Park...
I very much like this trail but 'best' ?!? So no Gorges ? No Carolina Beach which takes you through multiple environments including an area w/venus flytraps and pitcher plants ? No South Mts. or Hanging Rock or Mt. Mitchell ? Hmmmmm.
The one thing that shouldn't be missed there is the Moonshiners hike.
I've been to each of the trails you mentioned. Each have their own unique attraction and all of them are good, but overall, I still think this trail checks all the boxes.
