Your taste in T's is as amazing as your lessons 'n playing .... I have been a Triumph design 'n motorcycle fan since the 60's ... that is a logo that symbolizes so much. Cheers JJ !
this song seems to be made up of fragments. the 'na ,na, na seems directly lifted from john lennon's 'day in the life'. the chords progression lifted from hendrix's 'hey joe' and another part ripped from hendrix's 'crosstown traffic'. imitation is the best form of flattery. or just plain rip off.
I had never sat down and played this one. What a great rocker. I think one of your strengths is really strong rhythm electric playing. That chunky C is excellent.
Hi. Great cover, sounds ace and has great tone. I can see for the Adlibs you are improvising. Any tips as to what scale you’re using. Trying to make up my only solo to replace the organ :)
I believe it revolves around C blues, with some emphasis on passing notes that don’t necessarily fit the key at times. At least that’s my take coming from the organ point of view. Sorry I can’t more help than that.
ua-cam.com/video/z1tgd_ANY94/v-deo.html These guys look like they're having fun together.. He filled on a tour after Blackmore quit and before they hired Steve Morse , but you probably know this by now.
One of my fave Deep Purple songs . . thanks for posting.
any time I'm looking for a cool rock song that's not a big hit, I can almost be sure that you'll have a tutorial. Cheers and keep rocking
Wasn't this one of Deep Purple's biggest hits?
@@Sam-qc6sz I guess not according to some people.
and to think it was a cover of Billy Joe Royals (Joe South) song.@@Sam-qc6sz

JJ, this is the track that got me into Purple. Cheers for posting and great shirt mate!
Brit bike shirts unite! great vid
There is no logo quite like the Triumph ... not only does JJ / pt .. has fab musical skills and taste ... but he give a nod to Triumph as well !
Outstanding
Cool, Richie used a 335 on the track before he discovered Strats.
Awesome !

Joe South wrote this song before Crosstown Traffic was released.
Best "muffled" guitar of all time
This has the coolest groove, and you nailed it. Nice rhythm playing!👍

I like the shirt, do you ride motorcycles?
Singer Rod Evans later went on to be in a band called Captain Beyond in the early 70's. Check them out. Good stuff.
rubicon1983 sufficiently breathless
Dancing Madly Backwards
thanks for the tip man, awesome discovery!
I like the triumph shirt man
Awesome as always, thank you very much!
ye timing, impecable! g'on ya mate
That's high level . It's almost all about the right hand eh ? That's good stuff man .
In my opinion, the best rock guitar playing is all about the strum hand. I can take or leave solos.
Written by the great songwriter, Joe South.
And even covered by the Partridge Family in an episode of their show!
Thanks for the lesson dude. Trying out for a band and this one is on the list. I subscribed too, thx a Bunch

To be honest, I don’t know much at all about scales.
Fair enough! You just have innate ability to
Improvise which I am jealous of :’)

Never paid too much attention to the guitar in this song before. Nice to hear what Ritchie was playing.

Love Deep Purple this is my favorite DP tune.
Seriously, do you ride a Trumpet? If so, which model?
Nah, I'm a Porsche guy. I don't trust myself on two wheels.
Fair enough. Porsches are cool too!
Did Joe Satriani play this? I swear he played guitar for them.
Backtoshallabal Joe was 12 years old when this was released.
if he did, this song would be covered in boring shreds combined with a million different pedal effects

Joe Satriani played some concerts with them as a hire player in the 90s. He was the One that recommended Steve Morse to them.
Nice, thanks. Nortons handle better....
Best song of Deep purple
Um...I thought DP was banned?
Banned from what?
James James grouped together with David Cloverdale and the like
No, I like Deep Purple just fine.
MyALECTO You're thinking of Whitesnake that was banned
I think he's going through the Deep Purple family tree. :) But he does have a point -- Coverdale-era Purple is definitely on the no-fly list.
after seeing cruella and bad times at el royale :D and stranger wilderness too hahahhah
