Word to the wise, if you put too much heat on those AA cells it damages them & they loose life. They won’t hold a charge long either. Use sandpaper to scuff it up & hold the solder to the iron & touch it to the cell quickly, don’t leave it there long just enough for a spot to stick. Then tin the wire & lay it on the solder spot & touch the iron on it quickly til it melts to the spot. Then touch a cold damp paper towel to it to cool it down if it is hot.
@@kimoclyde Dont know? put a ampmeter in series with the 3 series cells and Icom charger, if its more than 12v and 200mAh put resistance in line. i used a regulated 12v 5A charger from an external DVD drive, looks like a typical laptop charger and wired the 2.1mm dc socket on the BP7 straight to the cells, When discharged the cells draw a couple of amps for about a minute, then tails off to near zero current after an hour or two. Not the best way to charge li-ion but just keep an eye on them and if they get too hot in the first few minutes? disconnect until cooled off. eventually as they get close to 12v they'll only draw milliamps

The BP5A , BP7 and BP8 are 80mm long. you can put 3 x 18650 Li-ion cells (11VDC) out of scrap
laptop packs in them
