I have listened to this video before but I'm constantly needing a reminder now and then. I will be sharing this video with my granddaughter who is experiencing anxiety and stress from a bad automobile wreck in October 2017. Thanks again for all you do Tom! Vic Shumate
Thanks Vic and best wishes to your granddaughter. I am very sorry about the accident. Has she ever tried EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for her anxiety? I wonder if that might help.
I believe that that I am having these contractions in my hand. I have been to numerous specialist/doctors and have had numerous testing done. I have been explaining these symptoms exactly the way that you did. Most doctors have never heard of this. Is there a specific specialist to see besides the neurologist?
I'm sorry about your symptoms with no doctors being of much help. That is unfortunately the case with movement disorders like you are experiencing. Ideally, it would be good to see a neurologist who specialized in movement disorders, but is not necessary for a diagnosis or treatment. Some people believe that the only people who can help us are Movement Disorder Specialists, but other doctors and approaches are also helpful. At this point for you, it sounds like you need a diagnosis. Who to see and what approach to take would be the next step. This video on dystonia treatments will help you see what options are available- ua-cam.com/video/PzAefKeQiKQ/v-deo.htmlsi=nmNkkInEEElV9v9Z
