I honestly can't get into his voice. One of the things that befuddles me is how such an odd & gravely voice with often weird pitches in inflection is a voice that's popular 😮 I know many creators have awesome content. But if the voice doesn't hit for me, it's a miss. For me, Let's Read's mysterious Joel - 🎧👤🎤 Now he has a voice on par with (my) the greats, such as Peter Thomas (greatest broadcasting voice ever!), Bill Kurtis, Robert Stack... Yup. Best & FAVORITE voice for a narrator of my subscriptions outside of Curious World & Wandering Crystal 🙅👍👐
That first story is making me really greatful neither my husband or I are extroverts. I'm friendly and I do the talking when we go places but I was raised to be wary, and a bit paranoid about the world and people. Im only 5'1 94lbs so all those rules my parents taught me has saved me on multiple occasions. As my mom says "just because im paranoid doesn't mean I'm wrong". It's little thing like always lock your cars doors the minute you get into it...before anything else. Set your car locks to open only the driver side on one click and all doors on two clicks. Some guy tried to get in my car and I was able to just drive off because of it. Now that I have my husband its nice to have someone to watch your back. We have looks and code words to get ideas across. I suggest anyone reading this come up with some with their spouse or children. Teach your kids , not to be afraid of the world, but suspicious. Question people. Put your safety above hurting someones feelings. Its okay to not polite if you're uncomfortable. Your safety overrides that. Glad those people got through that physically okay. Lot of nuts in the world.
Right on OP! I always take my teenagers (both rather strapping) or my husband with me bc it's sick how people think it's ok to be creeps. It's a shame it has to be like that.
That's cause I swear, 99% of the paranormal is either, I don't believe in it or someone in the story doesn't believe in it. The person who "doesn't believe in it" magically just jumps to it being paranormal or if it's about the other person, they frame it to make them look like idiots. Not to mention how dumb so many of them just are. Then there is me who actually doesn't believe in it, has gone to haunted places just to have nothing ever happen to me, while seeing everyone else who believes in it get freaked out over the floor boards creaking. Not to mention the huge lack of solid evidence of paranormal things actually existing on top of that science just flat out not supporting paranormal things to the point they have over 10 things that naturally happen that people mistake as ghosts. But I know the last bit is just the reason why I don't like paranormal or supernatural stories. That and humans and real life is just way more scarier. I can't think of a single story were someone was actually killed by a ghost, but thousands of people die and go missing every day by other humans.
Gets beat up, but doesn't talk about it, bc thats the first rule of Fight Club. He then inserts fight Club in his DVD player and attempts to stretch his 🍆 longer
The chicken nugget story, what she should have done with her nuggets was go back inside and demand to see the manager because that was gross and no customer should have to experience that. But no, she decided to not use her brain and throw them out instead of doing the right thing.
It's hard to believe how dumb some of these people are. I know the police aren't very helpful but in certain cases, calling them is warranted. I listened to one where someone tried to break in the person's house and they wouldn't call the police. The person that tried to get in went down the street and murdered a poor old lady after they left that house. Sad.
I’m not agreeing nor disagreeing, but most the time in situations like these it can be far from the first choice someone does. I’d personally probably notify the place of the situation, but everyone reacts differently.
I got held up by a knife while at work 2 years ago. I was working alone.. he jumped the counter and there he was, waving the knife practically in my face. I live in Scotland and went to grab my phone and almost dialled 911. The emergency code in the UK is 999. Luckily he didn’t stab me as I finally came to my senses and pressed the panic button. It took my bosses 30 minutes to arrive, the police an hour (they were trying to catch him, even though their station was a street away) and he had to be sedated just to be arrested. He only got convicted this year.. turns out he was high on coke. I do agree some people in these stories are stupid, but your brain whirls when you are put into bizarre situations.
Dude that story at 1 hour 10 minutes. The friend waited like wayyyyyy too long to do anything. The friend could have talked to the staff at the hookah bar, could have walked up to her outside the bar and interjected, or literally done anything to try and make her friend feel less alone/the guy outnumbered.
I thought the same thing! She went along to keep her friend safe and didn't even take her seriously when she called from the bathroom, and the fact she just sat there while the guy stole her friend's phone was infuriating. Worst friend of the year goes to that girl
My problem with this story was that they pretty much set themselves up for this situation. Did they not have an ounce of street smarts? They seem problematic to me too.
Funny cuz it's Sunday morning. I'm snuggled in late listening to Joel and was totally starving but to lazy to get out of bed. Than I heard nuggets story and instantly lost my appetite 😕 Thanks let's read! Now I can snuggle longer b4 work week starts again
I work at a forensic crime lab. We could have done a DNA test on the sample from the Nuggets to not only tell police if it was actual seminal fluid, but also who it came from in case the victim wanted to press charges.
^exactly!!! My first thought was that they should've save the chicken nuggets (maybe all the food just incase) and immediately take it to the police as evidence and report the creep so he can't harm /violate anyone else or their food. I also saw people saying they should've gone back in and reported him to the manager so they could sue... but at best, he'd be fired, maybe reported to the police, and maybe compensated for their meal/get their food remade for free. At worst, it would piss him off, not get him fired, and make them the target of retaliation. The police would be their best option to protect themselves, others, and maybe get a payout. (Just mentioning a payout cause other comments mentioned suing)
The story with the lawmower company and the woman who warned her was my favourite story but also terrifying. The way they distracted her, plus how she was naturally skeptical of the woman's shifty behaviour too. Gosh that could have gone absolutely horribly if that woman hadn't managed to get a hold of her before she entered her apartment.
Perfect timing. Just finished another vid of yours and was about to select another when I saw that you just uploaded. 1am is the perfect time to play videogames while listening to a whole lot of creepy stories.
Regarding 32:53 you don't how people like that are able to roam the streets freely?? Because your mom, and probably others would not bother going to court against him. I get it she was afraid and so be it...but don't wonder why he is free to walk the streets, doing bad stuff people when this is EXACTLY why he is doing so!!
do you not understand the risks it comes with..? even from prison, those types of people can put hits out & it could end in major tragedy for their whole family. it seems like she wasn’t just protecting herself but her entire family & loved ones. she should’ve opted to tell the police to keep them in witness protection or something similar.
@@Elena-bk4fs do you not understand that I said they are wondering how someone like him can be free and I said it is because people like his mom refuse to do anything about it when they have the opportunity?? my point exactly! I understand the risk however by her choosing to do absolutely nothing means that this horrible person stays free and can go with what he is doing and you can bet that other people will suffer because of it and though she didn't want to deal with testifying so her family wouldn't get hurt there is nothing to say that something bad might not still happen because she didn't bother to help put him away. My family means more to me than anything in this world and if I were in the mothers position I don't know if I could sleep at night knowing that because I didn't do something about it he is still out there hurting others and who knows...that one day he might happen upon one of my daughters and do something terrible to them (not because he knows who they are or anything but just because they happen to be around when he takes his next victim...it just seems terribly selfish and cowardly. In addition, just like I mentioned before OP sounds ridiculous wondering how someone like that can be allowed to walk the streets when it is obvious that their mother could have done something about it but did not
I've heard many cops (some friends) say how much they hate that they can't do anything unless the person does something. Don't worry, they hate it as much as we do. But it's a law put in place not by them
I just wanted to say Thank you for your time effort and channel its truely a gift to all that watch and you deserve much more recognition than you receive. The bodily fluid on nuggets story: yes you can report things like these, it counts as food tampering which is a felony and can count as sexual harrasment
The guy who would come in to the McDonalds numerous times a day, who ended up being a drug dealer, was probably doing his transactions at the restaurant. I worked at a neighborhood bar where a guy would come in numerous times throughout the night, sit at the same place at the end of the bar, and always drink a rum and coke. As soon as he walked in, you'd know to put a rum and coke down in his spot. He'd sit there for 15-20 minutes, sometimes drinking his cocktail, sometimes only taking a few sips. Then, he'd put a $20 bill under the drink and leave when he gets a text message. The drink was $6, so I'd make $14 each time. On a busy weekend night, I could net $84 in tips from him alone. He was a nice quiet guy, and I never saw any transactions, or him interact with anyone in the bar.
Some advice for y'all if you do have somebody that keeps following you or stalking you.... Quit going where you know they are!! Because you are asking for it!! SERIOUSLY?!! Yeah it sucks but if you really want them to stay away from you and you really don't want to see them GO THE OPSITE DIRECTION.

I love it when spooky parents raise spoopy kiddos. In our house we watch caspersight and twin paranormal a lot and many times at the request of the kiddo. 🧡🖤🧡
Just about to try go to sleep hoping listening to these stories helps I’m in a lot of pain with fibromyalgia it’s really bad so trying to relax best I can thankyou for these stories
"All of a sudden they cared" Yeah, because they would've known then. You go into their room just saying "Pervy Sage is being weird" doesn't relay "He's in our house, we need help."
PSA: if someone adds the "secret sauce" to your food and you can clearly see it do not JUST throw it out. First, you demand the manager (I admit I did not hear if this dude was manager or not). You get your money back. But before you do you take as many pics with your phone from different angles as necessary. You call the cops. You also call corporate. And then you post those pics on social media. Hell if it were me I'd contact a lawyer.

Yeah it sucks but if you really want them to stay away from you and you really don't want to see them GO THE OPSITE DIRECTION.
The intro excites me EVERY time;)
14:58 "my fiancé and i started talking to our grandma"..... what in the Alabama🤠
nice music at the end!
20:06 imagine taking your kids to the local mcdonald’s with promises of jumping in the ball pit only to show up and have two men having a full blown fistfight inside of it
I like this narrators voice
Heyyy so excited for this extra long video!! Miss your lives Joel! I just found out you were on vacation lol! I was worried about you buddy!! I'm just really glad someone told me what was goin on, I was like wth goin on!! 🥰😘😘
Great vid Lets Read!, always a thrilling pleasure to listen in on the collections of stories you tell.
Most underrated narrator
'Im sorry i didn't know you had a dad' 🤣🤣
First story started talking about being unable to place weird dude's accent, and I immediately thought, "Homie met Tommy Wiseau" 😅
Hahaha! I was trying different accents in my head to try and find out which I thought it was.. no luck there.
But Tommy Wiseau?! WTF, that makes so much sense! 😂😅😄 I see it in my head. Hats off to you sir. Spot on, spot on.
I automatically thought Borat 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏼♂️💀
First story- they definitely should have called the cops!
Also: “…how he pulled that off.” 😂
with his hand.😂😂😂
I think he’s using the metric time system 😁
“Huge Hours”
Listen always on my way to work and now my kids are like are you going to play let's read? They love the stories too
I love it when spooky parents raise spoopy kiddos. In our house we watch caspersight and twin paranormal a lot and many times at the request of the kiddo. 🧡🖤🧡
Love your videos ❤
Killer new background music😈. Stay Golden Lets Read👽✨
I want some fastfood now 😋 thank you for uploading, great story’s !
these hours are much bigger than others
Gaaaaaa I LOVE YOUR VOICE 🤗
Thank you👍
The story about the pervy guy is really scary but pervy sage had me laughing as a weeb😂
I hate people who hurt animals and are cruel
You inspired me and my channel! Hope I will have at least close success as you! Thank you, you're the best! :)
Just about to try go to sleep hoping listening to these stories helps I’m in a lot of pain with fibromyalgia it’s really bad so trying to relax best I can thankyou for these stories
I’m going to sleep to this gn y’all
Awesome 😎
i was literally just binging you. 😩
Thank you thank you 😼
Love the video ready 💜💜
Tbh I love listening to Being Scared but I have a crush on let’s read Lmfaooo I listen to you guys back and fourth. 🔮🧿🧬🦠🧪
P.S
Being Scared is the uncle of the community 🥺👉🏾👈🏾
"All of a sudden they cared" Yeah, because they would've known then. You go into their room just saying "Pervy Sage is being weird" doesn't relay "He's in our house, we need help."
I really enjoyed starts now that's what I'm talking about. . 👍👍👍
Every night I listen to his stories. My mom told me to stop and tried getting me into more calm things to go to sleep, but I always come back LOL.
I tried one of those sleep hypnosis videos and had the worst nightmares I've ever had, came straight back to Lets Read
12:37 ‘That freak JIZZED on your nuggets’ 🤣🤣🤣
Watching this on Xanax, these stories hit different
Enjoying that fentanyl
PSA: if someone adds the "secret sauce" to your food and you can clearly see it do not JUST throw it out. First, you demand the manager (I admit I did not hear if this dude was manager or not). You get your money back. But before you do you take as many pics with your phone from different angles as necessary. You call the cops. You also call corporate. And then you post those pics on social media. Hell if it were me I'd contact a lawyer.
Get that mula!
Nah, but seriously could’ve safe others from getting a life long STD..
Call the cops??/cmon Karen wtf would they do gees Americans love to sue for fk all
@@nickieriley7733 Yes us Americans aren't particularly keen on eating food slathered in semen, shockingly.
U obviously eat it right
Agreed OP. That's gross and inappropriate. Who knows what else someone like that is capable of...
That one dude talking about thinning the population is obviously a Thanos worshipper 😂
Who doesn't call the cops when their food gets Mcjizzed on!???
