    this is all great, however I dont know where is the problem, . I purchased 533mm, ZWO LRGB., I did data for each filter, it looks great, but when I stack each filter, and then do RGB combinaiton it looks very weird , I already check filter position ( it was not mixed up) CFA unchecked in stacking, I am lost

    Unless you've covered it in another video, would like to know how to combine LRGB, or add L to RGB. Thanks.

    Honestly Shawn your channel is so underrated! You are clear, precise and very knowledgeable. Added with a friendly persona your videos are flawless for pixinsight learning. I'm struggling with getting colour from my galaxy images atm so these are really helping. Would love a start to finish galaxy tutorial from pre process to stcking and the post process. Think that would be awesome. Many thanks again.Dan

      Thank you Dan! I appreciate your kind words. Yes I have to admit I'd hoped for more subscribers and views but it is what it is. I'm still enjoying it and like to share my passion and knowledge as I can. I'll see what I can do for that video idea you suggest! Cheers.

      @@VisibledarkAstro no problem! You will get there, your content is to good not too. I have been touring your vids in some forums :) yes that would be great if you could. I've since started pre processing from scratch instead of the script and found it a lot better!

    Subscribed - got PI and love it ! Still learning so any tutorials on how to stack in PI rather than Affinity, DSS would be great! thanks!👏

    Shawn, were your R, G, and B initial images exactly aligned and identical framing before u combined them? I usually take mine over multiple nights so the framings are different ….is there an easy way to get them perfectly aligned/cropped to one another?

    Why are my channels not lining up properly after combining? Each channel is shifted slightly.

    • @VisibledarkAstro
      @VisibledarkAstro  3 роки тому

      you'll have to colour calibrate after combining the channels. Channels should line up then unless the colour calibration didn't work right.

    Hi Shawn, love your channel! one month rookie here. I use an asi294mc-pro camera with my WO zs doublet refractor. I purchased a Ha filter to use it with my color camera to enhance the red Ha channel. I take my 4 min subs with just the camera and light pollution filter, stack them with darks, flats, dark flats. Then I take out the light polution filter and shoot the same 4 min subs same settings with the Ha filter in front of the color camera. I wish to combine the reds from both sessions to enhance the red in final combined image so I don't have to stretch red so far in post processing. Do you know, or have a video on such a procedure? Trevor from Astro Backyard did this with the same asi camera, but his tutorial was Photoshop. I use PixInsight. I am assuming that I stack the lights with the Ha filter with darks, flats, dark flats as well? Then bring them into PI, seperate each stacked tiff into RGB, then combine the red from each and recombine the new red with the original blue and green? Lol, confused. Thanks.

    I used the AutoColor on my recent Andromeda edit, did such a great job at calibrating the colour.

    What's the difference between CombineRGB and LRGBcombine? Other than the fact the the latter has an option for L, couldn't you just use that instead of CombineRGB?

    I have Ha and OIII. Do you have a tutorial for that? Plus I took my OIII another evening and it's not the same size after cropping out tracking errors. Is there anything I can do to match their sizes fist?

      Did you ever figure out how to stack just the Ha and OIII data. I took my first photo and only had time to get Ha and OIII data

    Shawn is there going to be a Mac version of Auto Color or have I not seen it.

      11 months late but better than never! I missed this question. Hard to keep up with all the videos and comments. The answer would be that I don't know. As far as I'm aware there is only a Windows version. But contacting the developer might be an option and see if something can be done for Mac. Cheers!

    I'm not that enthusiastic about autocolor script. All 'auto' rob you from deciding what your image should look like. Besides the reault is not that fantastic. knowing what to do you'll have it within 2-4 minutes. Not different than the 'auto" color

      It doesnt really, because you can then just create masks and change the colours afterwards using the other colour processes, also disagree on the results from the AutoColor script not being fantastic, but that's the great thing about Pixinsight, there are many ways to do something.
