You mention using wax, but I can’t tell exactly when you do that. It seems like you are using a red at the time when you mention wax, but then later on, you put underglaze over that area too. When and where do you use the wax? Beautiful piece!
Melissa, I'm sorry to be confusing. I should have taped it. In the beginning, before painting the underglaze, I waxed the bottom of the pot. Then, after all the under glazing and clear glaze was applied, I added wax from the neck of the vase down (about 4 inches) to protect it from possible dripping of the white glaze I needed to apply inside the pot and on the top section, above the neck. I hope that clears it up. Next time I will tape. :)
