    I see, turning points are really important on where i have reached in my maths lesson, but i have unfortunately not learnt it. Thank you.

      You're welcome, they're really useful for drawing graphs. After this you usually learn to "classify critical points" this is where you check the values either side of the turning points to see if they are maxima, minima or just a slight inflection in the graph. This is useful for polynomials of degree 3 like cubics or higher since they have more curves
