Everyone, including Eren, **already knew** that they were traitors, but Eren was basically begging them not to do it because he wanted them to remain as his friends. Look at his face when the lightning comes down, he still couldn't accept what was literal proof right in front of him. He's crying right up until the moment that he finally acknowledges their choice, "You damn traitors!"

Yeah I feel like Youseebiggirl is kinda too epic for this scene and doesn't bring the same feeling of terror. YSBG is more about betrayal rather than terror. Footsteps of Doom was great and it was nice to be surprised and see something new!

Footsteps of Doom was the best fitted ost for this terrifying scene. It was epic, but also creepy and sounded like despair and simply death. And I think the last part of this ost is somehow calm, and maybe shows how depressed Eren felt, showing his heavy burden. Youseebiggirl cannot just be put on every Snk moment. Every ost is created for a reason, and I think Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano did a fantastic soundtrack for this scene, and for every soundtrack they’ve ever done.

That theme was special for its moment and doesnt capture the severity of this situation.
It needed a deep sounding, dark theme unique to the moment whichbis what we got and it's lit.

This song's name is Vogel im kafig which means "Bird in a cage" is to describe the pure thought and innocent of a bird being locked in a cage and betrayed. Just like how Eren and the team was along with each other fighting for a better future until Reiner and Belthor betrayed them.

I was so disappointed to not have more season 1 music come back. Like it makes the whole finale even more powerful when you touch back to those powerful songs that made the original season so good!

When I hear this track while watching the scene its like it captures us with the audience. All hope has been lost. Eren has total and complete power and the world as we know it will soon come to an end. “F.O.D” also made me feel uneasy, while watching this scene that even I as the watcher was hopeless as to what was to come next. If there is a single time this legendary track was used, THIS SCENE WAS 100% MADE FOR IT. Hands fkn down and I truly hope we get a remaster version of the last 4, with this song playing both during this breathtaking scene, concluding with Armin finally standing up to Eran Yeager. Then close out the final episode with the flash forward using Red Swan all the way through til the credits end.
This transformation is the most important transformation in the entire series. It is quite literally the begging of the end of the world.
The original soundtrack "footsteps of doom" perfectly encapsulates the feeling. It gives of the menacing yet powerful aura that Eren has in this moment.
There's a reason it's only been used once in the series, and it's because of the sheer magnitude of the event taking place.
There is no other music that could be on this scene and give the same effect other than footsteps of doom
