Agreed -- Human Being has some fantastic songs, for ex. Colour, Latest Craze. Maybe it reminds him of a difficult time in his life, because I got the impression from many of the lyrics that that might be so
I wouldn't hesitate... go ahead and call it "it's best". I mean I know there's Seal (1994), etc. but he never got so intimate and so complex as in this record. Plus I think it flows better than any other
This album was the Tyra Banks album... It took forever to release because he was so depressed. All of the songs are dark and haunting.... Yes he dated his future wifey's good friend for a while...
I played it on repeat the first time she disappeared for 2 months a lifetime ago when we were in college. A decade later...I played it when we broke up and I moved out...and realized I left my soulmate...the only one. I played it again 12 years later when she came back into my life for a day, torturing me with her beauty and the regret of my hasty decision....and left for 8 more years. I played it again the other day when she returned again...and now...2 days later...is gone again. Will it be another 8 years? 2 months? 15 years? I don't know... but I do know I can't keep feeling this pain...
