icebound is such a lovely campaign!! i'm kinda saddened by the lack of animated shorts from this campaign, though. even if icebound is the more serious one, it's still so so charming and there's been so many moments worth only on the first six episodes icebound is my first campaign of loa and i'm so in love with the story, the characters and derek's dming too. i've been watching the witchlight shorts for a while and i got motivated to start with one of the campaigns by skrimm's fishing short, since then icebound took me by storm (hehe, get it?) i'm really excited for what's next❤

Coming from Uprooted and Witchlight, I gotta say - I absolutely adore this. Derek is a fantastic DM and I love all of these characters. Barnabos is dad. He tried so hard to teach his idiot feral turd son how to fish, and when he didn't catch anything Barnabos put a fish on his line to help him feel better. Peak dad behavior. Taishen is mom af. He worries about kobolds not wearing enough clothes in the ice and offers tea as a means to solve any issue (and it works a really surprising amount of the time). Jornir is the jaded funky pagan uncle who brings the most chill vibes but also Doesn't Quite Get The Joke But Goddamnit He's Trying™️. Queenie is grandma (she's not related to anyone by blood) and she not only always has candy but also gives the best hugs on the planet and adopts anything with a pulse as her grandchildren. Skrimm is the aforementioned idiot feral turd child and also anxiety (and chaos) made physical. He needs a hug right in the soul and to be safe and loved and well fed.
