Nice Job I've liked Ed Bruce forever, This when Country music really was Country...
Love this "old school" country. These new kids that call themselves singers do not have a clue as to what music supposed to sound like!
Absolutely👍
The people who gave this a thumbs down don't have a clue what good music is--I love his songs!!
Your right
Honestly every song of this guy is wonderful !
Yes--he is a wonderful singer isn't he? I just love his music--now that's country!!!
So true, and to dance to this song is even better.

What a great ole’ country song to just sit back & enjoy! 🥴
Fabulous song from an iconic singer/songwriter! Vale, Rest in Peace and thanks for all your timeless songs and the memories of yesterday's country music !
Ed Bruce his with Don Williams the very best my favorites singers
If Don Williams should’ve tried this song….💖
Beautiful sing by Ed Bruce. One of his best. Why can't today's country music be like it was way back in the good ol' days? Listen up, Nashville! This is how it's done!
The first song I danced to & I was 40!! Country music as it should be!!!
Ed's another GREAT performer who was greatly under rated!
Almost unknown, actually. If Willie hadn't recorded "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys" Ed would probably still be in the shadows. There's almost no room at all for him, VanZandt, Guy Clark and the rest these days.
Totally agree with this comment
This one is still played in the dance halls all across Texas right up to this very day.
LuckenbachTexas7499 love it
keep me subbed

👏👏
We need more music like this in our world today!
I love this song, and Ed Bruce's wonderful voice.
some real country music, which is rare these days
No fucking shit !!! Talent & common sense is none existent these days
i was smart i bought a three wheeler like aunt lornas
I really like the violin play in the end!
Love everything Ed writes and sings. True Country.
He never got the recognition he deserved when he was alive.
One of the best. I've always loved this. Thank you so much.
Ed Bruce is one of those laid-back and underrated traditional-style of country singer who has that uncommon ability to reach out and tug at your heartstrings. Upon close appraisal one can observe that he also has great respect for the lyrics and the writer's input. It's all about transcending simply the words and music to be something truly special. So much so that if you listen to Ed and like him you find yourself constantly changing his favorite song rendition to the last one you heard! An exaggeration you ? Maybe so, but not by very much it ain't.Listenin' to olde Ed caress a tune to delivery is like re-listening to the late, great Ray Price hit "Danny Boy" out of the park and out of mortal sight. I can't pay him a higher complement than that!
This is the most amazing song I have ever heard. This is the love that I want! Ed Bruce has a lot of great songs. Thank you!!
I really love Ed Bruce's music is surely one of the greatest
thank you devon your breeder loves you my husband glad i never lost you through your divorce our first datewas goood you look goood but please wear pink
first time I have heard him he sounds like Don Williams great voice lovely tone to his voice
@@kenmcdaid2243 yes it's true
Thanks that your granddad wrote this song and thanks that Ed is allowed to sing it :)
Love Ed Bruce!!!!!
Let's not forget the musicians who never get the credit they deserve on beautiful songs such as this one. Buddy Spicher on fiddle and Sonny Garrish on pedal steel helped make this song the hit it was in my humble opinion.
@pickerdownsouth, thanks for commenting and including the information. There was a comment left here about 5 years ago by a user named MrAlbeck22 where he too mentioned this, but I see his account has been deleted (and his post). I will add your information to the video notes. Thanks again.
You're welcome and thanks for posting the song.
Very true…
I love this lyrics. I think it describes loves and passion in a simple but very direct and rightfull way. Ed Bruce was a great singer. And the composers were great.

I love you Ed Bruce!
Thanks for the comment jekiwe. This is truly once of the great C&W songs, not only by EB, but by anyone. It is a mystery why this version is not available for download. The audio in this video was taken from an old cassette. So the sound quality isn't that great. I just wish it would be released on CD or MP3. Thanks again for the comment.
I love this song
Wow! WHO is the guy playing fiddle?! Love this song...
Great song - makes you want to waltz !
i love these songs everything's a waltz is right!
Belíssima canção.
I really that violin at the end!
MTGirl, thank you for leaving a comment. And I agree... one of the best country songs ever. One can only guess why this one did not make it to MP3 download or even CD. Lost master recording? Legal issues? I wish someone close to Mr. Bruce would leave a comment and tell us what happened. Thanks again.
👏🏼👏🏼 bom bom vídeo
Gratidão 🤠💝🇧🇷👏🏼👏🏼
This is "surfing" with the clouds ... forever fly ... Pilot Life .. !!
songs like this...are ledgen...one of a kind by Willie...who is unique.. none like him.
Beautiful
Ed Bruce is GREAT. I have his LPs! :)
this song has all the true feelings for me
This is great - thanks for adding some class to UA-cam. This song surfaced about the time Alabama started its incredible run. Country was country when Ed Bruce recorded this - not sure what country is today. How about finding Vern Gosdin's Dream of Me?
Rest in peace Ed Bruce.
I love this
خیلی خوب عالی❤
Love this song
Good song.
Is this great guy still alive, coz if he is not we have lost a great singer...
Yes fortunately he is! True country legend who deserves way way more recognition :)

true jewel.....
It's from the LP album "One to One" MCA 5188, I have an extra copy for only 70 SEK (c. $10 in shape E-). It's one of his best albums.
Thomas Buskhagen,
Do you still have that album?
The audio IS great. Very authentic. Digital is pure crap.
Thanks for leaving a comment. BTW - all audio is digital on the Internet.
+rpm88able you actually prefer the sound of hiss and tape-drag? Whatevs.
A properly calibrated machine wont have that issue

Where do you find great music like this in 2019?
You don't So you just stay in your time capsule and love this stuff
@@veritastriumphantchurch776 ain't that certainly the truth!!! The last of the good country music was back in early nineties.
