- Things didn't go as planned on our big Lake Havasu river trip. It started out with an unexpected roadside disaster.. After getting settled in at Havasu State Park Campground, we had to spit time between getting our RV fixed and exploring the lake. What we did get to experience has us eager to return.
Stay tuned for episode 2 when we make our way down to the lower river as Hurricane Hillary moves in....
I found your channel by accident. I am in my late 60s and have been in a huge rut and just quit living, I am trying to turn over new leaf and get out and do shit. I am currently restoring a 85 Well craft Scarab I got the engine tore down and I am rebuilding it . I am putting a hot comp cam the boat has a four bolt main 350 with after market Vortec heads the heads are being finished up as we speak at the machine shop. You give me the push and motivation to get my boat together and out on the water. I have no freinds in this town but I am determined to get this boat done I have let it rot in the weeds since 2014 this year I pulled her out thanks for the push I needed it
Sorry for the late reply. It sounds cheesy but you only live once brother. Get the boat done and hit the water. You still have a whole lot of years to go. Sorry for the rut you're in, but running that boat will only put a smile on your face. Your comment is a month old, where are we with the boat progress? Excited for you!
Madman where do you live. I would love to befriend you and be your co-captain. I’m in Santa Ana. I’m experienced with jet boats and small runabouts. 16’ Tahiti, Volvo penta 130 hp. I’m also in my 60’s.
my old jet boat was the best purchase i ever made. so much fun. A ton of work but its worth it when your rippin havasu to topock. nice channel
Absolutely love to see my buddies Matt and Jeff’s old boat have a whole new life. It looks beautiful. Cool that you had the deck lid done at Shock Wave as the owner of Shock Wave grew up just literally right around the corner from Jeff’s Dad who owned the boat since the 70s. We all grew up together👍🏻👍🏻 The name of the boat was Four Play.
What a small world! His shop did an amazing job with the lid.
I love to think that name might be painted under ours 😂 this boats going to be on the water providing good times for many years to come!
I live there and am familiar with all you see.. Permanent vacation. The attitude here is "we'll get to it in a week or so".. just life in the big H.
Great place to be, no doubt about it!
I had an old Sleekcraft when I was young. 455 Olds with a Jacuzzi pump. Had great fun at Havasu with that boat. Eventually upgraded to an Eliminator.
Love your videos! Inspirational, clean, and fun! I'll be In the garage tomorrow getting more done on the boat so I can get back on the lower river! Looking forward to EP 2.
Desert life, River life, its the only way to live...❤
Love the boat man, great job fixing her up!
Appreciate that! The next best thing to being out playing is getting to work on our toys at home🤙 enjoy today and hope you get back out soon!
Next time keep going up river, It gets even better! Just under the 40 Fwy turn to the right where Topock Restaurant is they have plenty of parking and a nice pool you can go in for free, dog friendly and great food.
We’d hoped to make it there. Had we not left a day prior to our plan.. guess we’ll have to look forward to experiencing the rest of it whenever we get back 🤙
Thats exactly what we do, head on up river for some lunch at Topock 66.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing the adventures with all of us ! The leather work you had done on the boat looks amazing! They did an excellent job !!
Glad you liked it! Yeah, we’ll have them do the rest of the interior when the time comes!
Thats awesome you took the dog, i try to get my 2 out whenever i can.
He’s a Velcro dog that has to be part of everything lol
Never been there looks very nice 👍. Nice boat
Put it on your bucket list. This place is beautiful!
Nice video keep up the great work.
Thank you. Appreciate the feedback.
Nice boat! They will never make them like this anymore
Deck lid looks awesome!
It turned out beautiful! They do awesome work. Makes me want to get the rest of the upholstery done to match how nice the lid came out.
You almost made it to the beautiful part when you were going up river, Topock Gorge was around the bend.
Yeah, when we left that beach we cruised up around the corner and saw we stopped right before it. Lots of cool spots to anchor or beach the boat. I can see how busy it would be on a weekend. Can’t wait to get back.
Such a perfect Dog. Wait? YOU were only running on 6 cylinders. WOW. Thanks for sharing some travel successes and failures. Also, some boat knowledge. Just the right balance. :)
He’s a great dog, and he’s excited for river season. Thank you 🙏.. excited to get boat and Jetski content back on the channel this year!
Dude that jetty is clean
Thanks brotha!
Is it hard driving a jetboat? I have no experience boating but buying my first jetboat soon similar to yours
It’s not very difficult once you get comfortable with the basics. They do not steer at all without giving it gas. Don’t abruptly let off the gas and come to a stop without paying attention to your wake in the back. Nose up in the chop or for transitioning over other boats wakes, especially wake board boats. You’ll get to know the ends and outs of your boat and what it likes or doesn’t like. Enjoy though, they are a blast!
Love your vids, just FYI there are GPS coordinates on lake havasu state website. I used those until i got familiar with the lake, now when i go every season i don't even need it anymore
Thanks man! What an incredible place. We’re planning a return to explore as we speak. Thanks for the tip too!
I have the same exact boat 75 Eliminator
This one time at band clamp....🤣

@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel Almost pulled the trigger couple months ago. I need to just do it already haha!
@gslife1 yeah man.. no regrets. The boat brings as much enjoyment as the off-road toys!
